Urrrrr is that what it really is supposed to look like? Looks kind of cheesy. Initially it looks good but it seems like it should be a bit wider. Between that and the colors they chose it looks more like an unused MCU prototype than a comic Hulkbuster. It should be brighter red and the yellow should have a lot more contrast and not be gold. The color palette should look more like the Model 9 they stood it right next to. And then the joints are all that same drab cheap looking milky grey/silver color with zero wash. It looks good but it should have been so much better. I really did expect a little more. Especially in the current price market. If I had to guess I'm thinking this thing will come in around the $60 point.

I will give them credit for making it where the head sculpt looks good on the figure. But can someone help us out with the Silver Centurion armor? Please?

I like this but am unsure if I will purchase it. It will likely depend on the price point. It does make me wish that I'd kept my old Toy Biz version though. I don't currently have a Hulkbuster armor in my collection because I hated the MCU and Marvel Select versions, and foolishly sold off the Toy Biz version.

I'm pleasantly surprised. The Marvel Select version looks better, but this one has far better articulation and accessories (not "better" or "more accessories" on account of the Marvel Select version having none at all). That unmasked headsculpt is pristine. Please, Hasbro. Release a version of it without the techy support thingie. Please. It'd make for the definitive modern Tony Stark headsculpt. Just make sure it's actually well-scaled and not a bobblehead.

Back to the Hulkbuster iself, it looks like it might be color-matched with the Puff Adder wave Extremis Iron Man, which is a good thing. Just wished they compared it to that figure instead of the ones they used for this presentation.

Oh Finally a comic Hulkbuster, Not the classic version or colors I would have hoped for, would have rathered more yellow, ah but whatever this still looks really good and a figure I was highly hoping for, I had been on and off contemplating buying the Select because it fits so well into a Legends display, but kept thinking we had to eventually see this no question and here it is after all these years, I'm for sure on board with getting this.

Man it's been an age since we were offered a comic HB armor. This looks really nice and I don't mind it not being the original design version. My only concern about getting it at this point is that they didn't announce the price point... makes me think it's going to be a little shocking. I hope not, but inflation here hasn't abated and Hasbro's gotta make their money.

They said in the stream what it's based on: Adi Granov's covers from right before Civil War. So a bright red and yellow wouldn't make sense for what it's supposed to be representing when the design has the darker red and gold look.

This looks great to me, gotta get it. I wish we could get some type of hall of armor playset for all the iron man figs. Maybe little rectangle modular boxes we could buy by the single and just get as many as we would want to build. Playsets are something that we haven't gotten and would be cool if done right...Daily Bugle anyone?

Yeah I know it's just small beans at this point and when I looked it up it was exactly this artwork that came up. But there are other pictures showing the more traditional colors. It is just a little too reminiscent of the MCU color scheme for me. Almost a dull maroon rather than the hotrod red and yellow. I just like the brighter pop. And I really hate the way the gold molded plastic looks. But what I find funny is how they always tailor the excuse to the questions on hand. The say "Oh this is a look based on very specific art from a very specific artist on a very specific run" out of one side of their mouth and then on something else they'll just write it off as "Eh I don't know we just kind of looked up random art on Google" out of the other. These guys. Whatever. It still looks good and I'll still probably pre-order it and wait to see what the early reviews say before I decide to keep it or not. When they announced a comic Hulkbuster I just really did have a different picture in mind. And I still maintain that he's too thin. Even more so based on this art.

since this is a mega deluxe it's actually pretty the standard price.

I know that you're right, Tarot. I think I was just unrealistically hoping for something a little lower. I was remembering that I originally bought the Toy Biz Hulkbuster (Legendary Riders wave?) for $9.99 and I think that I still like it better, LOL. Of course I know that was also 20 years ago. This is one of those offerings that I don't necessarily ever expect to see make it to markdowns, either - but it's also not a must have for me, personally.

Right now I consider myself on the fence, but will likely cave and pre-order it (FOMO). Although I might have to decide between this and the McFarlane Tumbler with Lucius that will be a pre-order next week (that has to be paid upfront at MTS). Marvel is my primary line and DC my 2nd, but I've always wanted a Lucius Fox figure. Like everyone else I've already got more Iron Man figures than I can easily count or display.
