I wouldn't say this figure is bad by any means but I'm not in a rush to get it either. I'm usually in a rush to welcome a new figure to the shelf but for some reason I haven't with the Eternals or the Squadron Supreme.

I've always wanted a figure of classic Ikaris, and they totally nailed it! Really looking forward to it man. The comparison with the movie version is pretty amusing, I do admit 🙂

Agreed, I'm super glad to finally be getting more Eternal Members, I mean crazy we got a whole wave dedicated to the movie, but we only have now just 2 members in comic form, I really hope they keep giving us members and don't just stop here for years. I don't think the movie figures lack of success on store shelves should be any reason to not put out comic versions, because people want those.

they did a good job here, new characters always make me happy.

This figure is perfect and I love it! I'm feeling some mixed emotions though because this opens up yet another team Hasbro needs to complete years down the road. I'm really glad I have him, but let's finish Alpha Flight, the Inhumans, Excalibur, the Defenders, the New Mutants, Star Jammers, and keep chipping away at C-list Avengers first Hasbro.

Overall pretty decent figure, yet I wonder how would it look like if red was more metallic as well as blue, to me it always seemed that Ikari's red gloves, boots and skirt were metallic red and blue was close to satin type finish, which would undoubtedly stand out and make figure more appealing.

I hope Hasbro gives us other comic Eternals. However, for Makkari, do they go the 'safe' route and give us the current black female version or do they do the white male one?

I'd honestly be surprised if any of those teams other than Excalibur and the New Mutants were priorities, unfortunately, though hopefully Sunspot's recent burst of exposure in the X-Men TV show gets Hasbro to take another look at the latter team. We're also supposedly getting A Phoenix this year according to the leaks, so it'd be nice if it were Rachel.

Second rate teams might not be priority but further they go more likely is the possibility of more obscure characters being made into plastic and teams being completed, this wave is prime example of that, even with Iron mans, Thors, Spideys, Caps, Wolverines endless variants theres limit, unless of course there will be some horrible apocalyptic fall in demand which will force hasbro to only produce A/B lister variant, but even in retro cardback A list hero centric waves have at least one obscure character.

I recall back in the 80s, Marvel put out 2 Maxi series for The Squadron Supreme and The Eternals.  I couldnt finish The Eternals series it was sooooo f@#%ing boring. And I collected every issue of Dakota North if that helps you guage my interest in Eternals.

Thus began my lifelong "meh" attitude towards the Eternals. Of course there are exceptions,  any Eternal that served as an Avenger got a pass, sometimes begrudgingly (Gilgamesh).

But i do admit Ikaris has a fascinating design. Im not sure if he ends up in my forever pile as i initially got him for the Zabu piece. I really only want Shanna, but that meant getting Kazar which meant i could build Zabu... man Legends is a slippery slope.

And i cant say id want any more comic Eternals, the designs get worse as they go down the ladder of relevancy.  But Hasbro killed this figure. Its pretty intricate design.. hoping  since they did so well on Ikaris that maybe they take a stab on classic Jack of Hearts.

Well said. And look at the care and attention given to Ikaris. Imagine what other D list characters coukd get amazing action figures.
