Deadline has announced that director Shawn Levy is currently in discussions with Marvel Studios to potentially helm the next Avengers film, following the release of Deadpool & Wolverine at the end of July.

The studio intends to hold meetings with additional directors as Levy has received the most recent script from Michael Waldron. However, sources indicate that he has yet to provide a response regarding his acceptance of the position.  Levy's workload is quite substantial, as he holds positions as both a director and executive producer for the final season of the highly acclaimed Netflix series, Stranger Things. Furthermore, he has a Star Wars film project planned for his upcoming ventures.
