"....With that being said, there are also still a lot of characters with more comic appearances than the Warriors Three who still don't have figures either after 20+ years....I'd really like to see Hasbro try to do something closer to a 50/50 ratio with previously made characters and never before made characters. I really don't think that's too much to ask. I'm also someone who doesn't consider a new costume as something new if it's a character that has been made before. That still counts as a repeat for me. So for this wave I really only consider Lilith and Hellstrom to be new characters..."

That's what I was saying. Not only was the wall of skulls theme "clue" (if you wanna call it that) barely related to what they produced, they only added 3 new characters, Lilith, Hellstrom (leftover from the failed hasblab) and Dracula. Yes back in the day A Dracula WAS done, but this version is so totally removed from that, that its new. Same doesn't hold for the rest, because adding a belt or a trinket here and there, especially on the same mold it was on before, doesn't make it new.

But then they DID a new mold for Odin, except its too big. He was never that size before. Do they realize this thing is now as big if not bigger than the Destroyer? What was the thinking process here?

I don't know what they're so skittish about; I think they could easily add 2 to 3 never before done figures in upcoming waves. The hasbo team said the 85th anniversary is at end, but actually Timely Comics put their first issue out in October 1939. So maybe extend the celebration, toss in a Golden Age figure or two, then for each upcoming wave throw in a couple of figures of characters from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, etc.

Definitely a strange wave (pun absolutely intended). While some of these iterations are a bit of a deep cut, I appreciate whenever Hasbro is willing to give us new characters never before seen in the line. My hope is that the theme of these characters is leading to an eventual Mephisto reveal. SDCC would be the perfect place. My luck is they make it an SDCC exclusive!

OK, so I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I just found out that the current Hellverine is actually Logan's son Akihiro/Daken/Fang/DarkWolverine. I had no idea and just assumed it was Logan (and I think it was indeed Logan in an earlier storyline). This actually makes that figure quite a bit more interesting to me because we haven't had a figure of Akihiro since 2012 as Dark Wolverine with the mohawk, during what I would consider the dark days of Hasbro. Hellverine was the only figure in this wave that I originally passed on, but I just changed my mind and pre-ordered it.

Edit: For what it's worth the description on the packaging say that this this is intended to be the Logan version:

While on a mission with Johnny Blaze to investigate a new Weapons Plus program, Wolverine becomes imbued with darkness as the Weapon of Vengeance.

I'm assuming this is likely news on the long awaited Deadpool/Wolverine movie wave if it's happening the week after the Livestream?

Hm. That makes sense. I'm really curious what else there could be. Is it normal for them to save things for a week after a live stream?

I hope that there are more figures in the assortment including the UXM 275 Xavier and that they reveal those.

I wasn't gonna grab this figure either. Pre ordered the set minus Hellverine. When I pre-ordered Odin, I threw him on the order. He just looks cool honestly. I want him hanging out the window of my Ramen Racer.

No shame not knowing the current Hellverine is Daken btw, it was revealed in the last panel of an issue that's been out for less than a month. The whole issue Lpgan is denying its him and, as a reader, I just thought he didn't remember what happens when he changes. It was cool to see Daken back all cut up. Ii really like the character. A little weird that he has a metal skull though. We'll see if they even address it, or if it just looks too  ool to get rid of.

No this isn't Daken. It's from the Wolverine comic where he teams up with Ghost Rider. Similar costume but Daken uses more of the HOX version then the classic brown and tan.

Yes, the figure is Logan. Currently, in the new limited series, Hellverine is Daken.
