I’m not terribly familiar with this character. I think the first time I’d even heard of him was from the Titus BAF wave, and even then, I never bought him. This design looks cool though. What is his connection to transformers?

The version that was released in the Titus BAF was Death's Head 2, a different character. The real Death's head is this one, who was created by Simon Furman and Senior for the Transformers Marvel UK comic, making his first appearance in Transformers UK #113, in the classic Wanted Galvatron Dead or Alive, as Freelance Peacekeeping Agent, not a Bounty Hunter. However, Furman saw the potential in the character ;  however, if he appeared in Transformers, he would be a Hasbro character, not Marvel. So apparently worked with a young teenager called Bryan Hitch to do a one-page comics trip called High Noon Tex, which was published in multiple Marvel UK comics to be Death's Head's first appearance (though there seems to be some shenanigans, involved) As well as fighting the Transformers, Death's Head would encounter The Doctor (From Doctor Who) along with the Fantastic Four, Avengers, Iron Man and She-Hulk

It was crazy how fast this Odin figure pre-order sold out at the major retailers here in Canada, it was one of the fastest I've seen in a looong time, barely a blink, I guess that shows how well received it was.

also seeing Bor here along side Odin, has me saying wow, that figure still holds up as a really amazing sculpt and the details were above a lot of figures at it's time, almost like it was sculpted by some one totally different then the usual at Hasbro, I wish they would re-release that figure it's a good one, most of us are missing.

Interesting. The irony in what you are saying is had the character hypothetically been a Transformers character and not Marvel, Hasbro would have still ended up being the company to ultimately make a figure of him either way. Haha

Maybe, but given he's not a Transformer, it would be very hard for him to be put into any Toyline except his own

Goin for 110 on ebay now. Funny how no one complains about the "paywall" or damn exclusives when it come to SDCC. I'm probably never gonna go to SDCC. I have really nice Comicons in Chicago, that never get exclusives btw. I can get to a Walgreens or Target and can easily go online for other exclusives. But these SDCCs are always double the initial price on ebay.  Not a scalpers mark up....Double.  And they almost always have something I consider a "must have". Still glad I overpayed for Purple Man, Dreadknight, Ghost, Satana, Bor, ect. But so many more got re-released or repainted. Really hope I can get him on Pulse.  Or hope a repaint comes with all those sweet accessories!

Hey Since83! I'm in the Chicago area too, and I used to go to all the Comicons back when they were held at the Pick Congress Hotel. Those were the days! I agree, I hate these SDCC exclusives. It's just a tactic for scalpers to go charge double the price on Ebay.

I feel torn about Odin. He's a must-have for me, because Thor has always been my favorite Marvel character since the mid-1960s. Trying to find other figures to use as generic Asgardians. But when I saw the $60 price tag for Odin, that set me off. He's great, but they can't justify a $60 price tag. These figures are all overpriced. Hasbro spends probably $0.10 on the plastic for each one, and $0.50 for labor.

Definitely getting Odin. And yeah I paid 50 bucks a piece, due to the SDCC price hike on ebay. But I'm a huge Thor guy. Actually won the door prize at a Chicago Comicon once, and it was a huge stack of Frenz era Thor. So cool. Is the Congress Hall location the one with the sky bridge? I loved walking that thing. I lucked out and would get handed daypasses as they were leaving. Loved those days!!!!

I was referring to the Deaths Head figure when I referenced the price on ebay as 110, 120 now, and my SDCC diatribe, lol.

The Marvel Legends Series Death's Head Figure from Hasbro is listed for purchase on Amazon with a suggested retail price of $34.99.

Death's Head has had an interesting journey at Marvel Comics, beginning life as a minor Transformers character before spinning out into his own series in the Marvel Universe. Finally, this robotic bounty hunter is being added to the long-running Marvel Legends line. Death's Head comes with six accessories, including a shield and ax, and he comes packaged inside a box inspired by the character's vintage collector's card.

I figured deaths's head was going to eventually show up on amazon for a little cheaper but didn't think it would be so soon. Ah well, feeling a little like Charlie Brown & the football yet again from these companies. Thankfully I didnt overpay a crazy amount for him and only went $5 over based on price+shipping+tax on pulse.
