Nahh, I'm not digging that Deadpool, and usually most things Deadpool do it for me, it looks too doodley and the body looks awkward, I get it's based off art and the art does look similar, but it's not for me.

The Spider-Man's are looking the best out of these statues so far.

So far, thinking that the Spider-Man fig/statues are the only ones I'm interested in. Would love that Wolvie, but WTH with that texturing,. Iron Man is classic, but the lines/shading don't translate that well from the page, IMO. Deadpool looks odd. Cap - not a chance. Seems like the Spidey figs are the cleanest and most appealing.

Wow. He is popping these things out quick. Of course he's probably really happy to be back in his wheelhouse. Static figures. The Deadpool does look like the comic art. Unfortunately Liefeld's work as dynamic as it was was terribly lacking in anatomical accuracy. Sheesh. That is not pretty.

...why's he scaly?

God this whole line of statues makes me just so happy that Todd doesn't have the license to actually produce Marvel figures. For all ML's flaws, I would take them any day over DC Multiverse stuff.

I don't think that's a likelihood. Between his penchant for statues and his first love of Marvel something tells me this is a place where he wishes he'd been in 20 years ago. On the other hand I think Marvel/Disney has a very specific expectation for ML that I really don't think McFarlane has the desire or capability to attain. God could you imagine a line up of 90 percent Spider-Man figures and a few other characters peppered in the mix every once in a while?

Wolverine's costume looks like that because the dark brown is leather and the yellow is textured spandex looks f***ing awesome as He** man can't wait

I'm not sure where you're getting that from; leather wouldn't look like and Wolverine's outfit never did. A smooth satin finish would probably make more sense. If the scaly cracked yellow there is supposed to represent "textured spandex" why doesn't Spider-Man's spandex look like that too?

The printed-on cross-hatching does not work AT ALL....it looks like stitches.
Cross-hatching is a concession in inking, to denote tones, contours and textures on a 2D paper plane with black and white linework. It is completely redundant with an actual 3 dimensional form,
These would actually work better either cell-shaded, or with the cross-hatching muted to another complimentary colour.
Disney used to do this trick in animation, where the lines on the characters were not just straight black, but different colours to slightly soften different outlines.  Instead of black, they'd use a strong chocolate brown , or a deeper blue outlining a more sky blue etc.  It ends up being less garish than just black.
