Got it from EE! Justified getting Jean as well due to the "spend 100, get a 20 dollar credit". So I kinda got her for 30 bucks...kinda, I guess.

I got it. I know. There's a Peter a Miguel and a Miles in every wave as well. My major complaint is that every Gwen differs very little from the one before. Basically if you bought the first one which I did you needn't bother with any of the others.

Different mask sculpt, more purpley paint. More accessories. And it looks better than the one from Into the Spiderverse.

If we’re complaining about her we should also complain about Miles. It’s the Into the Spiderverse figure without jacket, shorts and shoes. But it’s the same torso and head. 

They both look like less animated versions of the previous wave too

Yeah I get it. There's a certain core that is expected to be in every wave. I picked up a few of the first wave. Particularly Gwen due to the cool head sculpt but the rest of the stuff is just to goofy and stylistic for my collection. The movie too. I really tried to enjoy it but could never get into it. If I finished it or saw the ending I sure don't remember it. Whatever gives Miles enough exposure to keep them from trying to use him to replace Peter in the Sony/MCU proper. Which you know is in the works. Not that I don't like the guy but he's just never going to be as popular as the OG. Anyway some of these look cool like the Prowler and Spidey India and it's finally nice to see a Spider-Man without sweat pants. Whoever he is. But what's up with the Purple Punk? Guess I'll have to watch it to find out. But that probably won't happen.

Oh This wave does nothing for me, but as a non Animated figure collector I guess it wouldn't, seems like quite a bit of flat out boring alt versions of figures which are hardly different, like purple colored Spider-Punk? okay, basically the same SM2099?, Same Miles-or sorta, and def basically the same Gwen with new hair color, and Sweat Pantless Peter, Only things new are India and Miles Prowler....Meh

although it bugs me how much I love that Gwen with that hair....I already own the previous one, I don't need that, but NGL love it.

The running theory about the wave is that it was supposed to be the Beyond the spider-verse wave but since that got pushed back, they had to slot in the repaints to fill the gaps.

I really don't remember the whole "Spider-Punk is purple" thing?  Did that actually happen, in the last one, or have we yet to see it in Beyond or something? 

Likewise with the little doll person packaged with Gwen.  Do I just not remember the movie at all?

Gwen is the only one I feel is unnecessary. I don't even remember her being so purple in the movie. Punk is a cool look for him plus the alt head is nice. The full suits for Miles and Peter are long overdue. Miguel's unmasked head is nice but he would have come with some claws too. Prowler and India are expected and appreciated. But I'd have been much happier if Gwen had been swapped for Spectacular.

At least Spider Punk has an alt regular color head for the first one. And this is the first time we're getting this Peter Parker. This is the one that didn't beat the Kingpin in Miles universe. He's blond

After these additional images, I'm definitely pre-ordering India, leaning towards yes on Gwen, still a maybe on Prowler Miles and 100% out on regular Miles, blonde Peter, Miguel and Punk.

He looks kind of cool but I think I'm going to hold out for the comic non-animated version. And if they never do no biggie because this one won't match anything else in my collection anyway.

most of these unmasked faces look fine-to-good, but something about that unmasked Miles face feels really off

The only scene I could really find with this version of Gwen’s coloration is when she is making amends with her dad.  It is pretty spot on except for some slight blond near her roots that this figure is missing.

I hope one day we will have the future when Hasbro can afford to fill the web lines on Spider-Man costume. I kinda want that figure for this mod alone. This also gives me hope that all new legends Spider-Man with sculpted web lines is possible but the only question is if its going to have paint on web lines...

Order Pav and Gwen for Lyla. The rest I can live without. I don't blame Hasbro for this wave as it was more then likely to be the Beyond sequel but that never materialized yet.

I ended up pre-ordering India, Gwen/Lyla and Prowler Miles. I'm always a sucker for Prowler. I think this will be my 4th version of a Prowler.

Skipping Blonde Peter, Purple Punk, Miguel and regular Miles.
