That Punisher looks a lot better in these new pics than it did in the boxed shots. I just hope he scales right. It looks like a whole new body model. Maybe a Reaper sized model with butterflies? I sure hope so but would it not be typical for Hasbro right now to do another Vulcan or Sunfire sized model when they have so many resources on hand during this lapse in MCU product they have to exhaust funds on? Bushwacker looks to be on a version of the model used on Punisher from the Riders set which is great because it is a good model that I was having trouble thinking of another figure that could use that body. Those biceps are a perfect representation for his literal guns. And while I'm glad to see they gave him regular hands and arms I'm a lot disappointed they didn't include a regular head sculpt. Still a great figure and a great set and more Punisher is way better than no Punisher. Someone needs to let Marvel Comics in on that little tidbit of information.

Hyperion body was awful for sure, but Punisher was on the Grim Reaper body.  I like this new one a lot, but it will be interesting to see how he compares to the Grim Reaper version  in terms of scale. I prefer the design with the white boots and gloves...kinda wish they would have done him on the latest Nick Fury body from the three pack, but we'll see how it turns out.

that wasn't the Hyperion body. That was the Cap-wolf body.

Ah, that's right, thanks guys; I was never a fan of the Reaper body either, so it seems these two blended into a single horror in my memories. 🙂

Any how, yes @Psychosomatic I totally agree on the classic design for Frank and the new boots. Hopefully we'll see that combo soon!

Punisher faces are kinda ... too much, and please can someone remind me where is this look coming from? The black color is too plain, I think needed to be slightly bulkier in the legs and some tone variation (gray or white), but I'm, sure it will sell very well since we don't have Punishers since a long time ago.

From my side, I feel happy with my retro-carded Punisher and will get Bushwacker from second-hand 🙂

The more I look at it I am thinking I will have to kit bash this thing into the version I want (swap the head with one of the previous versions, and swap out the gloves and boots with the new Nick Fury boots and gloves).

On the contrary I love this look for Punisher, the regular head is pretty good, but I'm not into the yelling head myself so I see where your at, I had the plan all along to swap the head out with the gray bandana head from the face paint punisher, that seems like it will be a stellar look.

Retro Carded Punisher is still the best Punisher figure for me as well, amazing figure and it's my ideal Punisher, but I do really like the all black look as well, totally buying this for Bushwacker, but the Punisher is a nice add on for me.

I believe it's from Bushwacker's 2 issue appearance in punisher war journal (forgot the issue numbers). Its also where bushwacker's battle damaged face is from.

Shown below via Hasbro's Dan Yun is an in-hand look and also wanted to clarify any questions he saw about the new Marvel Legends Series Punisher & Bushwacker 2-Pack from Hasbro which is now available for purchase from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth as well as Amazon with a suggested retail price of $54.99.

Honestly I think if you wait a few months that Hasbro is going to do most of that for you. A "classic" repaint of this has already been mentioned in leaks, and let's be honest, duh - of course that's what they're going to do. It will probably get announced shortly after this one ships.

  • 4 weeks later...

I just received Punisher/Bushwacker today. I really like both figures quite a bit, but the paint on my Frank honestly isn't the best, which is only made worse by the fact that it's mostly black to begin with. There's so little white that it sucks they'd mess up the little bit that there is. The Skull logo "teeth" on the belt is kind of weird too and I might just remove that altogether. He'll still be my new default Frank for now. Bushwacker is exceptional. Very happy with him.

I'm a little annoyed because this 2-pack was shipped 2 days later than Kang, Spidey/Vulture and Crystal/Lockjaw. This was sent FedEx and was here in 2 days. The others were shipped together by DHL and haven't moved yet. Why, Hasbro? Why do you use DHL at all?

Agreed, and works for me! Classic Frank needs an update asap! I just hope they give him all these weapons, especially the uzi!
