One of those extras better be a unique head.  I'm getting nervous about that.

Exactly! They also need to up their power effects game!

Why are they calling her Warbird, she was Ms. Marvel

They aren’t using the Ms. Marvel name for Carol (or, in this case, her impostor) in marketing anymore. Even the 3.75 figure just used her real name.

It's kind of insane that they won't call her by her proper name. I've never understood why the real Ms. Marvel fell into disfavor so fast after being heavily promoted in the 2000s.  It's sad because she's been my favorite Marvel hero for a long time (except during the Binary days) and now she's unrecognizable.  Of course, I'm used to it. My overall favorite Marvel character is/was the White Queen and she's nothing like her 1980s and 1990s incarnation.

The Moonbird Ms. Marvel is amazing.  It's kind of sad how much better that torso looks than the one Danvers Ms. Marvel got, but I'm thrilled to be getting both figures in so short a time.

Because she hasn't been Ms. Marvel for decades. People need to get over this. It's like people still calling Hank Pym Ant-man when not only has Scott used the name longer but Hank has been Giant-man for much longer. if you watch this video by Comic Drake you will see she is actually one of the shortest people to hold the name with Kamala now holding the record. Kamala is Ms. Marvel.

I just realized this figure has torso articulation, WOW, is this the future of female figures? finally some movement in the torso after all of these years, I knew they could do it without messing up the structure of things, which was what they always said, it would blah blah, we know, I'm happy to see a new female buck.

Def going to get this one, love it.

Danvers Miss Marvel has the same feature. It's just hard to see if you don't have the figure in hand because of the black outfit and the belt.  I don't have her handy, but I'm 99% sure Jean Grey has it too.

Personally, I could do without it. Bending like that isn't a pose I'm interested in and the blocky lines make the figure look like an old MOTUC figure.

Oh you are right the Carol Warbird does have that, I just looked at the figure, I have it but have not gotten around to opening it, hard to see in the box with the belt over top of it, but you are right, Yeah honestly I likely would never pose the figure in a way that would utilize that articulation feature, but I like that it exists after all of these years, the whole unposable torso thing going on with female legends was just kinda sad at this point, I'm just glad they made it work, for what it is.

I actually didn't think the "blocky lines" was too much of an eye sore but like I said I have yet to release the Warbird figure from her plastic prison so I can't say what it looks like in hand.

Not to mention any battle scene where you'd do a ragdoll away from an explosion or Thanos punch. Or, struggling out of a Sentinal hand. The possibilities are endless. I personally want more posabilty for everyone, especially the female characters. Hell, we just got that upper arm swivel. Of course martial artist and up close fighters need more, but Hulk not being able to do the power clap is a big issue to me. Personally, I'm loving this new ab crunch with the upper torso movement on Widow and now Warbird!

Everybody has different preferences.  I'm not an articulation junkie, but I'm not into McFarlane's staction figures either.

The ab crunch on Danvers Miss Marvel is just a dated way to do that kind of thing.  The lines are blocky.  It's very Masters of the Universe Classics, which are not really up to modern standards.

On this figure, it's not a big deal though.  Her black costume and the sash cover it up when she's doing normal, standing poses.

By the way, it's great to see someone else using the alternate head. It's the one I'm using now too (I just wish it had the normal sized mask).

For sure! Don't read any snarky edge to my "voice". A couple of you make comments about unnecessary articulation, and I like more articulation. Just throwing my opinion out there, havin a friendly conversation!

And yes, I wish we could switch the hair back and forth on these heads. I prefer the smaller mask, but really like that bigger hair. It reminds me of a few of my favorite Ms Marvel covers!

Feels to me like this is going to be one of their "close enough" releases where they add a classic Ms. Marvel head and call it a day.

You're probably right about that one. Wouldn't surprise me.

I mean it's a virtually identical costume so I'm not sure what else would really warrant a separate release (other than wanting to squeeze more money out of it). Unless they did something unexpected like putting a Superia alt head with Moonstone and then doing Carol as a solo release later.

They could have Carol's midriff exposed

Except they did that exact thing with the Brother Voodoo figures. Brother Doctor Voodoo.  Or is it Doctor Brother Voodoo?  Mister Doctor? 😅
