Chris Evans has been a MCU fan favorite for years with his portrayal of the iconic Captain America. In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” he made a jaw-dropping appearance as the Human Torch, creating memorable moments for the theaters. Pruned by the TVA, Human Torch has been hiding in the void from Cassandra Nova. Just as Deadpool and Wolverine are about to confront Cassandra Nova’s followers, he tries to save them with his superpower.

Capturing Johnny Storm’s surprising cameo in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Hot Toys proudly presents the 1/6th scale Human Torch Collectible Figure for all collectors to own this long-awaited hero.

The highly accurate Human Torch collectible figure features a meticulously crafted Johnny Storm head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, highlighted by a specialized muscular physique. The Fantastic Four costume is faithful to its screen appearance and comes with a battle-damaged cloak. A series of different flaming effect accessories, attachable to the body, is provided for collectors to display the figure in style, including a special fire-whirling effect accessory that allows the flame to wrap around the Human Torch figure, as well as a stand to showcase the figure.

It is not “Aye aye, captain” but "Flame on!" He might not be the one you've come to know over the past 14 years in the MCU, but Human Torch certainly deserves a spot in your 1/6 figure collection.

I still don't really get how Hot Toys is able to do so many characters before Hasbro. Is it just because of the fabric usage over similar base bodies? Does Hot Toys have rights that Hasbro doesn't have to certain things? Is it just because they produce less merchandise?

because all they really have to do is change the clothes.

Cool figure, but not the best Chris Evans likeness.

I don't know. It kind of tracks with the way he portrayed Johnny vs. Steve in the movie itself. I've never really thought of CE as one of the premier actors in Hollywood but I must say he did a heck of a job in W&DP. Something about his slack facial expression and even the way he held his eyes a little angrier immediately made it clear that the character he was playing was more arrogant and aggressive than the way he portrayed Steve. Even when the scene leaked it was clear to me before he uttered one word that he was not going to be Cap. I'm not some huge CE Stan but I'm just saying he did a good job separating the two characters and this does look like him in W&DP in a realistic way against the way he played Steve/Cap in other MCU movies.

That being said I really wish this is something they could do in ML. And yes I understand the difference in the targeted demo of a company like Hot Toys and Hasbro. This is aimed at the more high discerning and maybe even more distinguished collector and the prices do reflect it. Which is how the smaller companies actually turn a profit with products that obviously cost a lot more to produce than standard Hasbro product. But the fact that Hasbro does not see value in a character like this from a massively successful project like W&DP but still put so much capital on the mass production of other projects like Eternals and The Marvels which do have their fans but I think the majority of us true collectors knew had a 99 percent likelihood of polluting pegs in various outlet stores for years and years to come to this very day just shows me how out of touch the shot callers at Hasbro are. And the same old movie vs comic obligations arguments do not apply here at all because they were all unproven movies at that point yet one had tons of hoopla and fanfare and high projections before it's release and the others had even the staunchest supporters casting serious doubts not only during pre-screenings but throughout their entire productions. It is just maddening to see the bipolar manner of how Hasbro greenlights these projects makes no sense whatsoever. I mean just looking at the character selection and boring designs of the figures in said waves like the mentioned Eternals and Marvels against the potential figures that could have been in a W&DP wave should be clear to anyone with half a brain. Is there anyone here that wouldn't have clamored out to get a Channing Gambit, Garner Elektra, Snipes Blade on modern toy technology or a CE Johnny Storm? To me it seems like sure fire success. And I know all the likely suspects are going to come out and hit me with they same old tried and true line of "the movie has come and gone, so get over it" but those are the same people giving me a hard time for saying I was over it by the time they got around to doing the Outrider two packs. So save it.

I want a lot more figures from DP&W. It's been some time since that movie came out, but I still want them. I'm with you here, a Human Torch from this movie, just like most of the other characters, would be more than welcome. At first I thought that they'd start working on a second wave as soon as the movie came out and especially after making massive box office success, you'd think they'd try to fast track it. A similar case was NWH, but I just don't feel that Hasbro is going to put these figures out that fast. I feel like the hype isn't the same. Remember how fast they let us know that they're working on more figures from that movie? The same can't be said here.

Yes my friend. I do remember that. And NWH was a massive success. At least in comparison to anything Sony had done before and certainly better than what most of the MCU was doing at the time. So it at least made sense. What I also remember is they way they got that 2nd wave for Black Panther out in record time in less than six months. They literally said it was and emergency wave. And also tried to convince us it was totally organic and didn't have that thing already in the works. And remember it also had that new facial mapping of the actors as well. Not as good as the current PhotoReal tech but it was innovative for the time. Remember that? That movie was also a massive success so it also made sense. Actually the over all worldwide box office take BP is identical to W&DP at 1.3 billion. So why do we have to just sit back and accept that W&DP has come and gone and nuts to the collectors who do want more and are willing to pay for it? I don't know. Perhaps they'll come out a year from now and start producing some more product like they did with the NWH product. But I won't hold my breath.

I would like a Lady Deadpool. But, honestly, I'm kind of glad when they deemphasize the movies for comic-based figures.

Yeah I wouldn't bank to much on that becoming the norm. These past few years I think the reasoning behind less MCU products were based on the terrible post End Game state of the MCU and it's product and the fact that many MCU projects had been put on hold or canceled and there was simply a lack of source material from the MCU side available. Actually what they ended up doing was going back to the same old well where the MCU was good and milked it for a little more fuel. That's what the whole Outriders set was about. I'm certain of it. Comic book source material was always there and more or less endless with so many background characters and costume changes from premier characters. So we got a lot of that stuff. And don't get me wrong. I'm happy to have it and will willingly consume almost any comic based character more readily than another figure based on any actor. But I suspect once MCU gets up and going again at a more regular pace the amount of movie product will not only increase but it will get primary commitment and take the majority of resources that were afforded the comic based product that we got these last couple of seasons. If anything I hope this time served to show the head honchos at Hasbro that comic based product can and regularly does perform better than most of the MCU product does.

You could be right.

But I think the MCU and Star Wars are on the brink of major upheavals.  I don't know that it will look in the future like it has in the past, both in terms of frequency of material and toy tie-ins. I would be surprised if we ever see something like a massive Eternals wave again (6+ figures based on a property with speculative, rather than actual, popularity).

Likeness is questionable but I can't say it doesn't look like Evans, it does but something feels off, it needs more work to get that instant recognizable look, however, it always could be just lighting and maybe in person and  under natural lights it's far better.

I hope you're right my friend. We've all heard the lip service and we're all hoping the W&DP movie left a lasting impression on the proper way to proceed but early rumblings regarding both Brave New World and Thunderbolts is not giving me the warm fuzzy feelings I've been waiting for.

And as far as Star Wars. Wow there is no property that has been eviscerated like that one. I'm not saying it isn't possible to rehabilitate it but for me and my circle after the first 6 movies it is basically dead. Except for Rogue One of course.

I'm always vocal about wanting more DP&W figures, but if they don't give it to us there's not much I can do. We'll see what happens.

Lol why does this look more like Young James Remar then Chris Evans?

anyways I agree with everyone here about where are the Legends from DP&W? it seems like a really big miss not getting them out as fast as possible, But I'm sure it's just a case of the NWH issues, and surely by end of 2025 they will be abundant.  The fans want these figures and if Hasbro makes you wait, they hope you might just want them more and settle for less, like the masked only Spidey 3 pack.

And did you get suckered into buying that Pack when it first came around? did they get ya!?

best bet some stunts like that are being planned as we speak for DP&W.

Absolutely suckered into it.  Utterly ridiculous.

Yup see they cast the bait and it was bitten, they knew what was what, that 3 Pack was destined to become fodder in a box, it sold out with a quickness due to FOMO and impatience, and everyone knew eventually they;d re-release the figures the way you wanted them with the Unmasked heads.
