Marvel Television's Ironheart Official Trailer And Poster

Marvel Television's all-new series Ironheart launches with a 3-episode premiere June 24 at 6pm PT/ 9pm ET, only on Disney+.

Okay, it seemed good, did it over the top excite and thrill me? no, it felt very basic current MCU, but I have hopes it will deliver, this trailer wasn't really doing a whole ton for me, but it's just the first one, also not quite sure about that Armor, still want to see a more comic accurate suit....... anyways The Hood seems interesting and looks good in costume, just cut that hair..which I think he probably eventually does.

Looking forward to it, because it's Marvel, but It seems pretty forgettable currently.

I must admit it looks better than expected. Looks like Riri has a bit more personality than she did in Wakanda forever. But I guess a multi part television series will allow them to develop the character much more than a guest role in a shorter format such as a movie. So that's another upside. After initial reservations about Anthony Ramos being able to play The Hood. Mostly because I wasn't familiar with who he was. I would say he at least looks good in the part. Hopefully his character will serve as an outlet to introduce a lot of those lesser Marvel villains into the MCU. One thing I have my worries about is it looks like they're changing the story and give no credit to Tony Stark by having her develop her genius under Shuri rather than reverse engineering from an old Stark armor. Of course there's no way to know that for sure off this short trailer but it certainly looks like that and honestly isn't that just standard Disney operating procedure? Other than that from first looks I'm pretty interested.

Looks great to me. I love that Riri is getting her own series, I love that The Hood is finally in the MCU and I'm interested to see if Sacha Baron Cohen is actually going to be Mephisto. The hate it's getting from people that won't give it a shot or hate it for other reasons is ridiculous.

They use the word "iconic" a lot in this trailer. I think the emphasis (for the character- the series isn't at fault) should have been more on "original". Which this suit isn't. Which is what my concerns are with Riri and indeed, most of these alt versions. Sure, sometimes the comics will toss out the "legacy" tag, but its overused and mostly incorrect. In many cases these characters are just copycats, and not very good ones at that. 

Riri's a super genius- look at some of the other geniuses in the Marvel universe: Richards, Stark, T'Challa, Pym. Experts, pioneers in their fields. I think it would have been better if Riri showcased her abilities the same way. In other words, they all used their genius to manifest different and unique powers/equipment to THEM....they weren't all copies of each other. That said, at least the armor looks good, and the trailer looks interesting.

Sorry but this doesn't look good to me, she was not compelling in black panther 2 and that movie was horrible to me. Same director so my hopes are not high for this and the hood looks ridiculous. Seems like too young of a choice for the role.

I will check this out, nothing promising but if they really gonna introduce Mephisto, that definitely it is of some interest, especially if he's gonna be played by Sacha Baron Cohen.

After reigniting my interest with the Thunderbolts*, and also having JJones in Daredevil season 2, imma gonna avoid this one, I never liked the character, and in BP2 the actress didn't help much.

Is it just me or did they make this version of the Ironheart armor to resemble the Ultimate Iron Man model? Looks cool but I just keep seeing it and thinking haven't we seen this armor before?

The hood has been sort of featured in the MCU- did you not see Luke Cage series?

I didn't know the series was already on. I tried to watch the first episode, but it didn't hold my interest....I don't know why I barely remember this actor from the Wakanda movie. Anyhow, I'll give it another go this weekend.

I was surprised how much I like the show. Really like Ramos as the Hood. I was annoyed that they missed a chance to use some actual minor villains for his crew. Like, Clown coulda just been called Bombshell. I like the actress playing the explosives expert. And, (Man I can't remember how to spell dudes name, but young Han Solo) is good too. The big reveal in episode 3 on his character is pretty epic and has me excited. If they use even a quarter of what they are setting on the table, it will be super cool. Riri is essentially a villain though, waiting for her redemption in the second half. They really robbed Peter to pay Paul so much from her that the actual origin couldn't be done. So this is almost like a mix of Hawkeyes beginnings and Fixer or something. Not sure if those are the best examples, but the whole sketchy beginnings that lead to being a hero thing.

As someone who lived in, and still lives near Chicago, it is awesome to see it on film As Chicago instead of Gotham! Marvel has always neglected this great city. Even when a comic is set in here, the artists seem to have no idea how the city looks. Totally iconic skyline just completely ignored when T bolts were in Chicago fighting on the beach, ect. Meanwhile, when I went to New York, I knew we went the wrong way cause it started looking like a Daredevil issue, lol! So yeah, just the sidestreets and neighborhoods being there feels pretty cool.

Honestly, and I hate saying this, I just wasn't that thrilled about the first 3 episodes, I had a hard time getting through them, it just felt so forgettable, so non consequential, I didn't care about the plot or the characters, I really didn't want to feel that way, but I did, I felt exhausted, I really hope it gives me more with the next batch of episodes, but so far, it was something I could have gone without.

So I finally finished this show, I hate saying it, but I must, I didn't really feel enthralled by it, nor did I really in the end like it that much, it was fine, with a few minor exceptions, this show was forgettable and seemed a bit pointless, I had a hard time caring about much of what was taking place, or the characters, it had it's moments here and there, but overall left me without much, it felt like something that if I didn't watch it, I wouldn't have been feeling like I missed out, Most of what transpired felt flat and inconsequential to the MCU as a whole. I want tot  say I should watch it again and see if all these feelings change, but at this current point I really don't want to see it again.

I'm not surprised I ended up feeling this way about Ironheart, I caught a whiff of this while watching the trailers, but I am always saddened to say I didn't really care for something marvel, I guess the best thing about this show was it introduced some important characters, but also just left me with the feeling of a lot of these characters felt like I could do without them.

Hope other people felt differently about this then I did.

I finally finished watching it this weekend and felt almost exactly as you did. You're right on the money. Sorry I've got nothing to add....I guess I'm not going to be in that category of people who felt differently from you.

Yeah I sadly feel like from the few people I know have watched it, they all felt the same, I'm curious about those who truly liked this show, I feel like I barely know anyone who actually even watched it. 

They can't all be winners, and it's not like this wasn't fine and decent, it was just mostly forgettable, and seemed unnecessary, however I guess it established more of a growth progress for Riri and gave us some new characters, but none the less seemed inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

They went too far with her AI "friend"...it was basically created via a cybernetic glitch while Riri was dreaming of her, but she's (its) too human, too detailed. The thing that really bothered me was when Riri, thanks to Zelma, discovers that very  powerful evil magic is behind the Hood and all that's happening, they don't seek out Dr. Strange or the like; Riri doesn't even think to ask her Wakanda connect if maybe they can help. Nah, just work on turning a car into Iron Man armor and drawing cool runes on the garage floor. I get that the writers wanted the story to be about Riri- but sticking her this far out of her depth just didn't make sense to me.

I totally agree, See that's one of the greater issues with the whole "connectivity" (they want and need to connect characters, but it can't be done) of a Cinematic Universe, it's not a comic, if this had been a comic story line, It would have made more sense, Dr. Strange would have appeared, or say Shuri etc, and would have had more believably (I get it fiction btw), the need to make things like this show so encapsulated, doesn't allow the story to work well, That being said this is where it would have benefited, like in honesty most instances To have big name camoeo,s not just to move the story, but to draw attention, I get it budget, but really Riri wasn't going to get the appropriate help? and just build Armor out of a car with the help of her family and a baby wizard?

I agree, I have no agenda to influence anyone, but just giving my honest review of the show. If its not as favorable as the producers would like, then that's the way the cookie crumbles. There was some weak writing and weak plots. I also agree on the "connectivity"- it seems writers constrain themselves because they don't know if their show will conflict with any possible upcoming other shows or movies. But that's on Marvel studios. If its that hard to do a story because it MIGHT conflict with a project down the line that may or may NOT ever make it to the screen, story line, budget, etc then don't do the show, period. 

At the same time if the +D shows are to survive, they cannot just stick to basic, low-budget "street" characters; sure its great to only have to spend money on Jessica Jone's jeans vs. Iron Man's full suit of shiny armor, repulsors, heads-up displays and flight, but that gets old fast when youre supposedly dealing with a reality that has superheroes. Also it lends itself to one-shot, bland throw away stories/character arcs that have no consequence. Example, they dusted off Hector White Tiger pretty quick.
