Silver Surfer has a stand effect piece for her board and Reed has stretch arms with bendy wire along with regular arms and multiple hands. Again this wave goes up for pre-order tomorrow at 1pm ET everywhere.

Something about the headsculpts.. It's as if the likenesses are there, but at the same time they aren't. I think the only one that is up to their recent standards is Sue's. I still like them all, because it's fresh and the excitement is high, but I want to see some reviews first. I don't know, it's surely not bad enough to not like this set, but that's something I noticed.

LOL. Of course Psylocke is a Target exclusive. Any time I want a character, it's at Target. Just like Warbird last year.  🙂

SMH! Of course it is. One of the most requested and highly anticipated figures in ML history aaaaaanduh...........Target exclusive.

Gargantos / Shuma-Gorath was definitely the star of this livestream for me. It and the Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer are probably the only two "must-gets" for me, but I know that I'll likely buy all of the Gamerverse anniversary stuff, but I'll probably skip all of the F4 stuff except Surfer and maybe flamed on Torch.

No X-Men '97 and no Shanna until SDCC I guess (I'm still hoping against hope Shanna isn't a con exclusive).

I like Sue Storm more than I thought (although I will probably get the head and throw out the body). And I want Psylocke, so I will be sitting at my computer during another silly Haul-a-Thon I guess.

Over all, a bit of a letdown since we knew basically everything coming.

All images and info added to the top. Man I may end up having to get all those MvC inspired figures.

Gargantos looks great. We actually got some pretty decent bendy wire representation here today. Anyone else remember when they used to tell us all the time how bendy wire was not possible? Citing plastic composition and deco and safety issues. Guess all that went away. I'm surprised how well the Silver Shalla came out. Looks like she turned out smoother than all the leaked designs showed previously. I don't know if it's a new model or it might just be the Shriek model in silver but it looks good.

OMG! I can't even tell you how in love I am with that Shuma-er-gantos, that's what I wanted, it's real, it's wonderful, I must have it.

That finally is the Pyslocke, it's finally here, the Psylocke I must have, after all this time they got it right.

These MvC figures are so nice looking, I'm shocked at how much effort they put into them, everything looks good, not just re-paints, new figures, I was wrong and Happy for it, Wow just wow, new Juggernaut is insane, That Cap, That Wolvie...I'm gonna need time to look at these more, do I want to update?

At this point I feel like I must have Shuma, I must have Psylocke (and I'll eat the cost for another Thanos), I really think I'm going to buckle and I must get Blue Venom, it's Venom....and Blue!.

I can probably pass on the rest but it's feeling hard, because these look so darn good. But at this point I gotta say no to some of this.

As for FF, welp I guess I'll get a Shalla SS, it's a new character and it looks comic enough, So I'll get that one.

Shummmie yer so hawt. Betsy...😍

Do people really have that much trouble getting Target exclusives?  There's sometimes a quick sellout on preorders but I've generally found that once the items actually hit stores they're usually pretty plentiful after the initial rush passes, sometimes even online.  Maybe not flooding the pegs and you have to be a little bit diligent "on the hunt" but I haven't had to go to the secondary market for any Target Exclusives since the early GI Joe Classified Cobra Island exclusives.

But in all truth even if you miss these I guarantee there'll be a repack down the line.  Betsy and Steve in particular seem almost guaranteed to show up again (And Juggernaut).

The MVC figures look incredible. I’m so shocked they actually went and did new sculpting for War Machine rather than just releasing the previous Capcom Rhodey figure they did. I appreciate that.

Shuma looks incredible.

Many Target exclusives (particularly female figures) sell out really fast online and even if you get a preorder in, they often cancel or delay it.  So Target exclusives are a lot more trouble than something sold at Amazon, Pulse, BBTS, etc.  It's fine to say they aren't as impossible to get as they were during Cobra Island days, but they definitely are not fun to deal with and people should be disappointed any time a real figure shows up there.

I will say that you are right that sometimes Target stuff becomes easier to find after release day, if you're willing to constantly refresh their web page or drive around to different Targets. I hate doing the latter (I live in a high traffic area, so I can't easily hit four or five different Targets at once).  So Psylocke being at Target is a blow.

I live in Arkansas we only have two Targets and the closest one is over an hour away from me...it's a big problem

The teaser today looked like a green Arrow. Wonder if we might be getting a regular sized Super-Adaptoid with bow and arrows this time. Nothing "Rumored" would seem to fit so its the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

So I looked harder and had to break down what I feel about these in terms of what I'm going to buy.

FF4 MCU Wave :

Only going to be Shalla-Bal Surfer, she works as a comic stand in.

MvC program :

Wolverine Vs. Silver Samurai : This will be a pass, as much as I love that new stuff going on here, I think I'll stick with my Love Triangle wolvie and Previous Samurai.

Cap vs. Venom : Will be a buy, but strictly because I want that Venom, Cap is a great update, and might be my fav cap, but it will likely be a sell off, since 20th Cap is still wonderful

War Machine vs. Omega Red : Will be a pass, I'm happy with the Deluxe WM still, don't really need this one, and I'm cool with Sauron Wave Omega.

Psylocke vs. Thanos : Will be a must buy, pretty much only for Psylocke, sure the Thanos is awesome, but I'm not that much in need of replacing the previous classic version, although the buck is better, but will likely sell it off.

Juggernaut : Pass, as much as I love this, and it's a beautiful update, I'm still not that much in needs of replacing the 2 pack version personally

Shuma : The best thing I saw here AND I MUST HAVE IT

let's see if any of this changes once pre-orders hit.

I've personally had more problems with Target and Walmart exclusives than I can tolerate. Just today Walmart cancelled my order for '77 Spider-Man and the Spirit Rider out of the blue for no reason, and of course they're no longer available to re-order. I had to resort to ebay for Warbird, retro carded Carnage and the Tracksuit Mafia figures because my local Target stores never stocked any of them. Store exclusives suck.

Okay (Cracks finger....oww) here is my usual run-through of these.

  • Sue - No Interest
  • Both Johnny - No Interest
  • Shalla Ball - Will get unless Hasbro suddenly announces a comic version.... which they won't.
  • Ben - No Interest
  • Reed - No Interest
  • Wolverine - was going to skip this but since this is a whole new sculpt and came crunch that far, I will get it.
  • Silver Samurai - Looks nice. I have to see how it looks against my comic version
  • Psylocke - It uses the Phoenix body. IT. USES. THE. PHOENIX. BODY. Nuff said.
  • Thanos - Eh. Could have done without.
  • Cap - Looks nice and is this our first "classic" Cap with butterfly joints?
  • Venom - I have the Target? retro version so Eh.
  • War Machine and Omega Red - Will skip.
  • Shuma Gigantos - Best reveal of the entire stream. It is massive. It's eye can move. His can blink. It has bend wired tenctacle. It..................... is going to be totally overpriced but I don't care. It will be mine.
  • Juggs - I was happy with my 2-pack/BAF version but this is bigger, bulkier and an instant buy.
  • as for the arrow? I don't know. I instantly thought of either Hawkeye but I also thought of Dark Hawkeye or Trickshot. This one will be hard.
