Creating this thread for this weeks SDCC Marvel coverage. Things kick off this evening with Preview Night which starts at 6pm PT. Dan Yun says they will have something news revealed tonight which I believe will be a Marvel Legends Spider-Man Role Play Mask. That should go up for pre-order tomorrow at 10am PT. The Marvel Legends panels is Friday at 11:30am PT. Saturday at 2pm PT we will get additional Marvel Legends pre-orders which should be the next X-Men 97 wave. Beyond that IDK what will be revealed this weekend, but I think the new Spider-Man with Magic cards will be likely.

Their will be a media breakfast tomorrow (Thursday morning) that will start at 8am PT so we should get some kind of Marvel Legends reveal during that as well and Dan Yun suggested they will have a final teaser out on Sunday.

Of course we will bring you full coverage of everything revealed this weekend as it happens so stay-tuned.

This is it then.  If a good White Queen-style Emma Frost is coming, I will have gotten far more out of Marvel Legends in the last two years (Ms. Marvel, Dark Ms. Marvel, and the White Queen) than I ever could have imagined.

Bring on those preorders!

97 wave confirmed. Someone in the eu site put up the Morph figure by mistake. Better get a suited body ready because.... He comes with a Henry Gyrich head

Shown below is a look at the new X-Men 97 Marvel Legends Morph figure which got put up in error on the HasbroPulse UK website.

As we reported earlier this morning the wave with this figure should officially be revealed at SDCC this week and go up for pre-order this coming Saturday (7/26) at 2pm PT at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.

The entire wave as we reported before is RUMORED to include the following:

- Morph
- Jubilee
- Emma Frost
- Cable
- Roberto da Costa
- Logan (Casual)

You can also expect to go up for pre-order tomorrow at 10am PT a new Marvel Legends Spider-Man Role-Play mask which we expect to see for the first time tonight during the SDCC Preview Night event which will begin on or around 6PM PT. Check back all week long for coverage of everything that gets revealed during Comic-Con.

Can probably make your own Henry Gyrich figure using the head here with the Professor X Suited body715e58769a394572b36c41f6103b40f5lg.thumb.webp.d1e2a8317ca8e9f1977b9840e33d35b5.webp

Never could get fully on board with shape shifters coming with someone else's face...like Morph's body with Gyrich's head, or Zartan's body with Snake Eyes's mask...they just look silly.

Now, maybe if it was a face transitioning between the two, and throw in some transitioning arms, that would be cool and make some sense.  Like those old movie transformers that were scanning alt modes.  The back half of the vehicle was translucent with grid lines, and the front half was solid colours.

Animated skin tones tend to be brighter and not match that well with other figures (as I've learned a few times).

Oh that Morph is kinda nice, it's Animated so doesn't really fit in my collecting criteria, but it kinda feels like a good grab, I mean I already have a Morph, but this one kinda feels so Iconic.

It's good looking figure but it seems to me it goes little too much with animated proportions and style, while previous figures were something in between of traditional legends style and animation, which was done for the obvious reasons of making old ML body parts fit in but this Morph is way closer to Spider-Verse cartoons.

It's hard for me to get excited for a third X-Men '97 wave despite buying all figures in the first 2 waves except the 2nd Magneto. I also pre-ordered two of those X-Men '97 made to order Sentinels.

Morph was always going to be the most interesting of the leaked/rumored group to me, but including the Gyrich head seals it for me. I have the other animated VHS Morph and the AOA version but this one looks great. That Gyrich head will almost certainly be going on the Hoverchair Charles suited body since Savage Land Chuck has taken residence in the hoverchair for me.

Assuming that these are going to be all pinless, I'll probably end up getting Emma and Jubilee. Maybe Cable as well. Logan and Sunspot seem less likely for me unless they're heavily discounted. Sunsport would almost have to come with powered up parts for me to be interested. We'll see. I'd just really like to see characters never made in the Legends line before and it doesn't sound like there's going to be any of that. The Gyrich head might be as close as we get, and I am grateful for that at least.

Uhull!! I was crossing fingers to have some X-Men stuff this week and here they are!! Morph was already a yes for me, specially now with that Gyrich head. Looking forward to see the rumored Sunspot now!

Hell yeah. It would be amazing if they gave us a translucent one in diamond form.

I'll definitely pick this up.. the Marvel Legends VHS Animated X Men Morph price have gone thru the ROOF lately.. I'll also pick up Jubilee since I was never able to pick one up at a decent price..I did see a KO on AliExpress that looked good for about $27.. but that should be about the same as the official Marvel Legends X Men 97 wave 3 Jubilee..I'll pass on the rest..Im happy with my Astonishing X Men Emma Frost..as well as my Zabu BAF wave Cable...& I'm pretty sure I'm good as far as casual Logans.. Lastly..does anyone really believe that this reveal was an "ACCIDENT"?? 😂

Hasbro has now officially announced their new Marvel Legends Magic: The Gathering Spider-Man figures revealing the first of 4 figures that should be in the wave. Today they showed off their Agent Anti-Venom figure. We should get more details on these on Friday. The other figures in the wave are rumored to be a version of Spider-Man, Mary Jane as Iron Spider and Manwolf. Check back later this week for more info and images.

Oh man, and just when I thought I wouldn't have to get this wave. If only there were a couple more figures this would be the best comic Spidey wave in a while. Fingers crossed that rumored Spidey is the future foundation suit.

Agent Anti-Venom elicits a Cinema Sins style "inevitable repaint is inevitable" reaction, but it's a good figure in the first place, so I'm not complaining there. I do hope the MJ as Iron Spider and Man-wolf are good!

As for the official Morph '97 reveal, he looks good to me! As has been said, it'll be interesting to see what (if any) suited bodies that Gyrich head would work well with.

Whoa whoa whoa pump the brakes, mezco possibly delivering on a bigger guy that doesn't have the poseablity of a brick? Im shocked. They might have just delivered the hulk that Hasbro couldn't. And a mezco nightcrawler, interesting.
