Finally broke down and ordered Sunspot the other day. The more I see him the more I like the figure. I probably should order that Jubilee too. It's weird that some, like the Cable and Logan, look so cartoony to me and then other can totally hold up in a regular ML display.

Good looking set of figures. Still tempted by Sunspot. But I’m sure they will eventually get around to the whole New Mutants team in the classic uniforms, and maybe that version of Sunspot will include both “powered-up” and  “powers-off” parts.

The more I see of the Jubilee, the more I want the figure. She's really not that cartoony. I feel like the jackets on Morph and Wolvie are a little too cartoony for my personal preference. But Sunspot and Jubilee arent.

All I keep seeing is how everyone wants Jubilee in her 90s Jim Lee costume. I think we all know at some point this is coming. I hope they keep the effects but change their color to blue and pink with the yellow crackles to match her costume. Also, I have this sinking feeling she'll be locked in a  two pack with a civilian Roberto de Costa. I'm calling it now. This in part informed by Dwight who made comments in interviews at SDCC that if we didn't see characters in the costume we wanted be patient. There's opportunities for two packs next year.

On an unrelated note, who would be intersted in an updated '97 Xavier with a proper cartoon triangular Hover chair instead of the ovular one we have? Ot is this just me???

Same question with Mr. Sinister. We have two sinister figures, am I the only intersted in a  cartoon accurate version with a cape that is identical to what we see in the show?

Finally... now that Hasbro has gone down the costumes-of-the-finale rabbit hole and I invested in a whole set of them (and will buy duplicates beast and such) we had better ger Morph in his finale costume as well. And since they gave us a Guyrich head, with the new one we need a Trask head. Hear me Dan???

The only one I particularly like from this wave is the Cable figure. I kind of like the weird green he’s got going on.

The Jubilee looks good, but I don’t really need another. Same with Emma. I have comic Sunspot which I prefer. Don’t need civilian Logan, and Morph looks kind of weirdly feminine to me. I have the VHS and AOA Morphs, so I think I will stick with those.

As much as I love the Star-God fig I am NOT paying an extra  $20 or so for a crap card. Hasbro needs to lay off the crack .

Agree; I'm glad that they got around to making it because I'm sure it was on a lot of lists. But yeah, its way overpriced, and not something I want to buy.

There is a MTG fan selling all 4 figures without the cards for 60 buck/20 shipping. There is only 1 bid on it. Somebody is gonna get them for a pretty reasonable price as long as someone doesn't bid like a crazy person.

I knew....I Knew! That this would be the figure that would go down in price. But I pre ordered him anyway. So dumb. My life woulda been no different if I had just ordered him now for 30.

To be fair? The card is being listed on e-bay for $17-30. So even if you had bought it at $40 and didn't want the card? You likely could have sold the card to offset the cost. But some people don't want to bother with having to sell a card and I get that.

At any rate? You could still sell that card if you still haven't. If you don't want it? I'd say sell it off and recoup some of your money. You do that, and the price might even be less than $30 in the end.

I did manage to get Spidey and MJ for 20-25 thanks to these MTG fans and I do like Battle Damaged Spidey a lot, it's 98 percent brand new sculpt aside from one shoulder and maybe feet. The figure even has some okay paint, but more paint would put it on another level because there are so many hidden damage details that are sadly lost due to lack of paint.

However, Hasbro really fumbled it on a technical level. The new joints are horrible, the head ball is frozen, and you need to Dremel with the thinnest drill and risk figure damage just to free it and funniest thing is that RYV ball joint for the head wasn't too good in the first place. The leg ball joints are not even balls but weird diamond shapes that also increase damage risk, so I really needed to shave them down and smooth them so they resemble a more ball-like shape that makes movement smoother.

While at it, I also drilled a hole above the shoulder peg into the butterfly joint in order to make his shoulders sit higher and flush with the clavicle.

Looks like you definitely know all the issues with this Spidey. I was about to say to be careful with it, especially with the hips, or will end up with a truly battle damaged Spidey 😂

Yes for sure, I learned my lesson on too many needlessly broken action figures so now I always use hairdryer and silicone shock/gun oil with careful and “strategic” considerations.

I've had this Doom on preorder, and got him for 24.95. But looking at him this long, I'm really debating canceling him. Just a lazy job, if you've read the comic. He should be quite a bit different than a slight repaint with a cape. They coulda just tweaked a few things here and there without making a whole new sculpt, and it woulda been a lot.better, but they didn't. I love the idea of this though.

Just had my Tom Holland Spidey leg snap. So I think from now on any Spider-Man figure that has drop-down hips? I'm popping the legs off and sanding that ball peg down smooth. I have to extract the peg from the one leg and then somehow crack the pelvis to replace the drop-down joint.

Were there any issues with Maximum Spidey(I never got him)?

Maximum Spidey is fine, because from what I remember despite diamond shape pegs it didn't have knobs like Battle damaged Spidey, however it's also can be related to plastic processing methods sometimes it\s more fragile and sometimes despite stress plastic just tends to endure.

Not yet *knock on wood*.

I managed to extract the peg but cracking the pelvis is proving to be..difficult. I will probably have to use a bit of green stuff and touch up some paint if/when I do get it opened.

I said it once I"ll say it again... small tweaks would have reallyy improved this 2-pack. Wolverines costume should have been much darker and storm should have come with blue lightning effects. If no on noticed, in the early episodes pre lifedeth, she had yellow lightning light the original show. After lifedeth and her costume change her lighting changes to blue. You already had a blue version from Francine Fry. Small attentions to details (like painting yellow on Jean Grey Boots...) go along way with the community
