Should Hasbro Finally Give Us A Punisher War Van For Marvel Legends?!?

2026 is gonna be a big year for Punisher fans. After Jon Bernthal officially made his MCU debut as the vigilante anti-hero Frank Castle/Punisher earlier this year in the first season of the Disney+ Daredevil: Born Again series, we know he will be returning next year for a second season of Dardevil, a Disney+ Punisher special one-shot and making an appearance on the big screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day which will hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

Today images from the set of Brand New Day started hitting the Internet giving us a look at his iconic Punisher War Van.

So that had me thinking, could we see Hasbro deliver finally to fans a Marvel Legends version of Punisher's van in 2026 as well, either comic based or movie based? We haven't seen a toy version of the van since 1991 when Toy Biz did one for their 5" Marvel line.

With Punisher sure to be a focal point for hype next year for all these Marvel projects, now seems like the perfect time to do one for Hasbro, possible as one of their Made-To-Pre-Order items.

What do you think? Should Hasbro do a Marvel Legends scale Punisher War Van?

I rather them test the water with trying to release the Hellcharger as an MTO BEFORE moving onto something bigger like this.

This article made me think of the many famous Marvel vehicles (original comic book versions) that I wish were offered for Marvel Legends, such as: The Fantasticar (both the Bath Tub & later version); Avengers' Quinijet; X-Men Blackbird; Spider-mobile (silly 1970's buggy), etc... . While I realize that some of these things can be too large for actual scale, perhaps an adjusted compact scale that can hold at least 4 figures could do.  I also find that McFarlane Toy's approach of releasing simplied no-frills affordable versions of DC vehicles can serve as an example for Hasbro.  So how about it Hasbro?

I'm not enough of a Punisher fan that I would spend money on a vehicle based on his brand. (It took me many years to just own a figure). I would much rather something from an X-Men property or even the Ghost Rider car at a much more realistic price point. 

In general, the problem with doing any vehicle is that they are, for the most part vehicles are not connected to the character. To me, Ghost Rider and his motorcycle would be the most "connected" pairing, or the Green / Hob Goblin and his glider, but both have had several iterations already.

RamenToy has a series of vans. One is the A Team, but there is a black armored one that is really the Punishers. There's even a skull in the background of the picture. It works really nicely. I asked Ace in a livestream if we could expect some add-one to make it more Punishing, and he said it was on the way. So I would kinda say they shouldn't bother since they'd probably go the Haslab route and, well....

That being said, I could deal with a thug van, and a Punisher van as well since they designed one for the MCU.

I'd want it, but I'd never be willing to pay what they'd have to ask for it. 

I happily laid my money down for 4 HasLab Sentinenls, HasLab Galactus, HasLab Giant Man, MTO Dragon Man, 2 MTO X-Men '97 Sentinels and MTO Mephisto. I never even considered backing the Engine of Vengeance at the price point that they wanted and wouldn't ever consider paying what Ramen asks for their knock offs of that vehicle or a van similar to this.

I'm also someone who has purchased every single Batmobile and Batwing that McFarlane has made. If they want me to purchase a Legends scale vehicle, they need to be able to price it at similar to the McFarlane vehicle price points, period. And I say that as someone who is not a huge fan of McFarlane. I'm just never going to spend $300 plus on a 1/12th scale vehicle.

It would be great for those who can afford, but it would be absolutely unfair to those like me that just want an updated classic Punisher and that be behind a $500 or so paywall. I just want the figure. I don't even have a space for that. But again, that's just me.

I kinda want a van, but I'm not sure I want the Punisher's van... but Ramen toys' is too expensive... so if they'd found a way to make it affordable I'd be down for it

I think there's a good rationale for a Punisher War Van from Hasbro--via Haslab, but it really needs to go all out.  The van itself, lights(inside/outside), engine/ gunfire sounds, steering tires, opening doors, communication/surveillance gear--and loads of weapons of all types.  Not just 10 or 12, but 30 or 40+.  With supporting kit--ammo cans, bipods, scopes etc. The idea behind this is to create the tooling for weapons accessories for the next decade, or further out, and not just for the ML brand, but for others too.
So, yes, you can get them all in this set, or......if you wait, you can eventually get the accesorized with other figures and such over time.
Aaaaand, have weapons crates to haul a bunch of them.
But wait, there's MORE.
Include a Punisher ..........ahem " Chat Chair", where he can ..........ah.........."interview" bad guys he catches, in his own style, along with some tools of that trade.

Still not done:  Figures of Punisher himself, Microchip, and Jigsaw.  Probably with gear that can customize them into either different looks or different eras/
And, yes, this would be expensive, but it would be the foundation of a lot other stuuff following, and would be a reason to out-do Ramen Toys.

Honestly I bet if they did a Punisher Van HasLab, unlike the "who really likes that guy that much" Robbie and his Car, Frank and his Van would get funded.

I have a hard time thinking anyone is interested in seeing that Car of Robbie's pop back up in any way at this point.

I don't think Robbie Reyes or his car was the problem. The price of the car, the fact that it had been redesigned to be legally distinct from a Charger was the problem. These two factors made it slower to take off than they'd hoped, and then it missed the early bird (who in their right mind makes the driver of the car an early-bird unlock?), which made people even less interested...because who wants a car without a driver? Throwing in the Robbie Ghost Rider head and hood to use with an existing Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider figure was too little too late, and a little insulting.
A Fantasticar would make a lot of sense if Hasbro Marvel tries another vehicle Haslab.
I'm not sure that a Punisher van would fund, but at least if they made it generic, I doubt people would mind. It might fund, but it probably wouldn't go gangbusters. I also think a lot of people who wanted a Punisher van already grabbed one from Ramen, which wouldn't help.

I love it. I wouldn't be interested in "just a van", but what you describe makes it worth it. I also collect GI Joe so there is a lot of crossover appeal with a street level character loaded with tech and guns. Especially now that Legends is getting a lot better with their firearms sculpts and paint deco.

Not before they give us a 97' style blackbird that seats 6-8 with a vertical tiltable stand and the same effects coming with the  new sentinels ported for the back and bottom for a hovering effect.

True about the Hell Charger, accurate points, but I also at this moment in time just feel as though people are so soured on that item currently that if they did bring it back somehow people would be up in arms for various reasons, but yes in actuality I don't think it was 100% the offering, more like how it was offered and what was included (price being part of this) , but I always felt as though Robbie & Car was just never big enough or popular enough to warrant a HasLab it was a bold move to begin with, it's not a Sentinel or a Galactus, or even a Giant Man...the first 2 HasLab's were no brainers, they were destined to move peoples needles and get funded, Robbie not even enough people know of, put it this way, if it wasn't a HasLab and had just been released in stores it wouldn't have sold very well, he's just not that big of a character.

As for Punisher I just think his Van isn't big enough of an item, he's obviously leaps and bounds more popular then Robbie, but his Van is not really that big/important enough for most, certainly not HasLab worthy IMO.

Now Fantasticar is, that's basically a member of the FF, it propably shows up in most issues of the comics, since that's how they get around, it's in media beyond the comics, and it's in the new movie...As far as Vehicles go in the Marvel Universe it's likely one of the biggest, up there with X-Men's Blackbird.

With the exposure of FF right now, if they were to do a Vehicle it should be the Fantasticar, only because it really should be the Blackbird...X-Men 97 Blackbird would literally just go bonkers....But it's a massive undertaking, the Fantasticar not as much.

I still think a Daily Bugle HasLab would be the bee's knees of HasLab's like come on...look how well items like that sell, case in point MOTU Eternia.

that will never happen. In other to get a blackbird it would have to be the size of a room.

I can see more size adjusted Blackbird that is close to Galactus dimensions and plastic weight, there was one 3d printed one, and I definitely wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro team could replicate or something more compact for Haslab in several years, probably with a lot of hollow plastic and some lights and sounds.

Yeah, I don't see why they couldn't make a blackbird that is 36-42 inches mostly hollow that could seat 6 to 8 standard legends figures. Need it in that night deep blue like the cartoon. It would have a vertical stand on a hinge that could go level or pitch up like its taking off. I would literally rebuy the same figures i have to fill it. 

Because Hasbro loves pay walls... give us a cartoon accurate hoverchair Xavier, a nice Trask figure to go with the new fancy Guyrich. There was an old 1994 toy biz one I still have. I just want it to look more realistic and bigger to fit legends. At that point charge me whatever you want and ill pay it.

I think there's a couple of thrusts to make in these kinds of Haslabs:  
One being the question of do ML collectors really WANT vehicles?   Marvel as a brand doesn't really have many iconic vehicles. GI Joe and Star Wars do, but Marvel....I think maybe less than a dozen vehicles can be listed before you start getting really obscure.  We've had mostly figures in this line so far, vehicles have essentially been motorcycles and some scooters or hover bikes that's not a lot of range.

- -Any vehicle item has to be strategically picked because it HAS TO SHOW value-for-the-dollar.
I think the Hellcharger was a weak offering because, of itself, it didn't seem to have much beside some electronics and some effects parts. The figure tiers didn't do much to embellish that. imo,  what makes for value is either spectacle or options.
--The recent SnowCAT Haslab is a good example: it's not a terriblly showy vehicle, but they enhanced the options with it by added extra kit through the 3 tiers. 
That makes for better value.
--If the vehicle itself cannot be plussed beyond a certain point, then the figure tiers have to bear that burden.  Punisher has a van, and lots of guns, and some things that work with guns. With the van, they could add swappable bullet riddled body panels.....or battle-damaged/wounded swappable injury parts for Punisher himself. A Haslab is the moment and opportunity to do this.
--One thing that  Hasbro is timid about is that these things are NOT toys anymore. They skirt soundly into an adult-realm in both market and use.
So some things can be pushed a bit more than they would be with a retailer offering.  A bit more blood, a bit more skin, more scare, more "edge". These things ain't "ages three and up", so why not feed the adult demographic? They know the market works.........they just have to feed us.

Mezco's RUMBLER is fantastic, and even modular capability, front hood opening to show the engine, lights and a battery operated winch, its under $400.00. A Punisher van should be able to be done around the same price (and you can bet there won't be lights).  IF they ever did it they could use the made to order model vs. haslob.

Agree... and such a paywall would render it DOA anyway. They could make a great Punisher van, but they would have to keep it under $300.00, yet still make it competitive with the other vehicles out there now that are available

I certainly don't think we have to worry about a paywall to get an updated Punisher. We get new ones all the time. 

I actually would like to see an MCU Fantasticar. Not sure it would have to be a Haslab though.

I would love more playset/diaroma Haslabs with lots of cool extras. A Danger Room with swappable traps and exercise equipment would be awesome. It would have to have the Spanner and a clip to put Angel on it.  It'd be even cooler if it came with the original X Men. I know people would complain, but those people will complain no matter what Hasbro does. It'd also be nice to have tons of stands that can be attached in various places on the walls for action shots. 

I really like the Daily Bugle idea too with some civilian figures that probably won't come out any other way.

My big one, that no one ever talks about, is an Avengers Meeting room. A big round table with an "A" on it and specialized chairs for bigger and smaller characters, plenty of 80s looking monitors and big computers, and comes with Jarvis (not as a tier). This one would be a dream come true for me.

I've been asking for that for a long time, and as you described.  And, imo, Jarvis is as essential as any of the Avengers themselves--no Avengers collection will truly be complete without him.
