Atlantis, I feel like you and I have had this same (friendly) disagreement in the past, but I'm always surprised when we get a character for the very first time after 20+ years and anyone says that they expect we'll get a different version again anytime soon. If it took them more than 20 years to get to her once, I don't have any confidence that there will EVER be another version. I certainly could be wrong, but that's my take.

Understood. But it took almost 20 years from the Toybiz classic Dr. Strange to the Hasbro Walmutt release (2021), then about 3 years later they did a classic variant (better chest insignia) for the Dr. Strange/Wong 2 pack. Then there's Ultron, who finally got a classic comic look figure in 2021, then they released another version (duller paint I think) in 2023. There are some others that come to mind, but I'm not seeing that a figure that took 20 years to show, will just never get another bite at the apple. The reason why I think Deathbird will show is she is, not only is she X-Men adjacent (and we KNOW how they love the X-Men), there's also a Starjammers connect there. Only 2 more of that team need to be done, so including her on that would help fill out that wave.

Anyway...fingers crossed?

I ended up passing on Deathbird.  The tubes look really bad and paying 57.99 for one figure I only kind of like is just too much. I have no confidence I would recoup anything from her boxmate.

I hear that! I think they once again, did themselves and the collectors a disservice, by cheaping out with Gladiator. The additional head is great, but that cape is just too stiff, it impedes the articulation. Soft goods would have been better. But even keeping the plasitc cape, they could have done better with the gloves and boots. Just painting them on makes the figure look cheap, second hand. With those slight improvements to Gladiator, it would be easier to sell alongside wingless Deathbird. Beyond that, its a nice two pack.

Immediately ordered this...though I would have much preferred a classic version...this is the Jim Lee version so I had to have it!

Now where is D'Ken,Eric the Red, Starbolt,Oracle,Hussar and Warstar? I wouldn't mind some new Brood warrior army builders as well!

I ordered from Pulse it says January. But their release schedule tends to change. Many times did I get figs months earlier than expected, and some of those times I did not want them earlier than the official release date cuz the budget.

Oh for sure! The schedule got crazy a few yrs ago, but seemed to be getting back to within a few weeks lately.

And yeah, it sounds crazy to be like,"I don't want it earlier!" But when you didn't plan on paying for 5 things at once, it gets spensive.

Let's all remember that in-hand from Dan Yun, who is the current brand manager on Marvel Legends, is not the same as an in-hand look from a typical collector, or even a Youtuber whose channel depends on getting figures early like Bobby Bee or Shark Eyes. These are likely one single set of the finished product sitting at Hasbro HQ in Rhode Island, expedited there from the factory. It's not necessarily a sign that this wave will show up in North America next month or even November. I think if we're lucky, these start showing up in December.

Yes True and I actually didn't pay attention to who was showing these images, so yes of course if Dan is showing them it doesn't mean they are coming anytime soon, However I will say that Ive seen several Canadian sites listing this wave as to ship beginning of November, and I am also seeing sites state Jan, usually the far'est out date of release is the tentative date and we get things a month sooner, but sometimes it's accurate.

Because the Gamerverse comes with more stuff and they have to pay Capcom for the designs.

Ah, makes sense. Oh Hasbro has to have a license for these designs in order to make the game figs? Makes sense.

The Champion / Starfox 2-pack is one of my most anticipated Legends offerings in a very long time. I've wanted both of these characters for in Legends form for many years!

For sure agree! Starfox, like Rachael and Feral, is awesome for rounding out an Avengers lineup. One day I can hope for Stingray Sersi in green and Dr Druid to finish off a few teams from that general era.

Was there a time given for the Starfox/Champion release?

I jumped on this right away! This 2-pack has to be my favorite Legends offering of the year. Can't wait!

Is it just me, or is it not up on Amazon yet?
