Shown below via Dan Yun comes news that the Marvel Legends Series Giant Man and Wasp 2-Pack from Hasbro will be going up for pre-order again sometimes next week most likely at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth. When more information is available we will be sure to let you know.

Okay now this re-issue makes sense, this is a great 2 pack, I mean An amazing Wasp with the Hank Accessory LOL, this was quite limited when it was released so it seems worthy of a re-release.

What is going on over at Hazbruz HQ, with the sudden Re-Issue Con happening? did the guy who comes up with the new ideas take a sabbatical?

Don't Marvel Legends and Black Series always get re-releases? This doesn't seem that unusual to me. I always remember retailer exclusives showing up at BBTS and Pulse about a year after release.  Black Series is even more consistent. We recently got a ton of rare figures (highlighted by Padawan Ahsoka) re-released.

Only Classified seems barred from second runs, but Classified stuff is never that hard to get.

I mean the re-releases in reality especially in this current capacity, aka actually announcing them and putting up pre-orders is a more recent thing post covid. Yes before they would do more or less re-stocks, rather then "re-issues" figures would get more ample stocking after an initial stock, usually retailer exclusives, who's exclusivity lapsed.

but the whole...Here is an actual pre-order for a re-issue, is pretty new-ish, but what I mean is never before have we had an actual flood of re-issues being announced and put up for pre-order all in a short span of time, Lol hence the re-issue con I;m calling it.

Star Wars seemed like they were doing that for years, and it's not new over there, Transformers started doing it as well so I've seen (not sure if that's an old thing or new?), Yeah G.I. have not had any re-issues as of yet, except for the Artic B.A.T., which went up for re-print pre-order a few months ago, oddly enough for a release in 2026.

Daredevil should be the next one to receive Maximum treatment but VHS Spidey cartoon packs are indeed in need of reissue, almost all of them are on expensive side.

If we are talking reissues, the Skrull and Shield army builders would be nice.

ohhhhh good god yes, thank you for these reissues, I was buying almost no Legends for a couple years and a couple of the ones I really wanted (like this 2-pack) are just exorbitant prices now

please 60th Black Widow and 85th Cabal 3-pack next?

Transformers started doing it as well so I've seen (not sure if that's an old thing or new?)

Actually, it’s an old thing for them.  It’s one of the things I really like about the Transformer line - they rerelease figures a lot. At this point, I think every Titan has rereleased (other than Metroplex).  They typically rerelease figures that are important characters that are not planned to have a figure released soon or it was a hard to get exclusive figure (Cosmos comes to mind).

Yeah I'm shocked that we have not seen any of the Army Builders get re-issues, they seemed like no brainers to have constantly in rotation, as people would always be buying multiples, giving them all such limited runs seemed like the exact opposite of how to handle such items, They all sold so well.

Okay, cool, I don't know a darn bit about what's going on with Transformers, since they are not something I pay attention to or even sort of collect, I kinda suspected they might be re-releasing things often, I mean since Transformers are from what I can generally see unique tooling for basically every figure it makes sense they'd get the most out of the molds.

Speaking of transformers, one thing I always was bummed out about was not buying the R.E.D. line figures, it was the only transformers line I almost got into, I just liked the basic designs yet collector friendly element, but that line came and went, I would totally be all for seeing those re-issued.

They did very poorly and I don't think will ever come back.

Honestly, in hand, they were really awful figures. I had Optimus, Megatron, and Soundwave for a while, but donated them to a charity a few years ago. I just didn't like them.

Oh this is fantastic news! I know Janet's had a new look like single issue she's been in since the 60s, but this will always be definitive for me. PLUS, that face sculpt is a literal work of art. Very pleased by this move!

Pulse has Warbird and Surfer now, but PP sold out there.

As usual with re-releases, it looks like they made more than enough for people who want them.

I hope so. It's leaving money on the table for them not to. However, I will say I can probably understand why they didn't anticipate Power Princess selling that well.

She is kind of niche. But the fact people were buying her for Wonder Woman customs? made her blow up. You can still find the other Squadron Supreme members pretty easily at a discounted price.

Managed to pre order Power Princess and Carol on BBTS, both for custom purposes.

Curious about the customs you have in mind for Carol.

If you plan to repaint the body at all, I'd suggest using Dark Warbird. She has a better torso and is still available at Pulse and BBTS.

I actually want to try putting legs from new Carol on her old torso, while old torso has bad articulation it has size that gives her more bulk and height + double jointed muscular arms from Spider-Woman work fine if you can remove the paint, I already gave Carol these more muscular arms and it looks great to me.

Cool ideas.

I'm not so down on the figure's height (she is an average sized woman next to most modern Legends), but I know a lot of people would like her taller and bigger all around.

I also got the Warbird for potential customs. I thought about maybe a Black Cat? (I've already done a few Black Cats...)

This is my "current" Cat Custom. I don't really want to scavenge the other Skyline Siren Cat I have. I might see about a chest mod. I used an Outback Rogue for this. She had slightly better articulation than the retro or skyline cat. But she has no ab crunch which is what I would look to the Warbird body for. The legs would need altered due to the thigh boots.

The other idea I had was to "redo" the Mantra custom I did.
spacer.png

Used a moonstone body and head. The chest was from an Angela. Sculpted the belt and midriff armor. Used a Emma cape for the pelvic curtain. The cloak was from GPS lot. Boot tops were sculpted.

I kind of need Dark Warbird myself. I could pair her with the Six armed Symbiote Spider and my Cabal set. I would still probably need to pick up Daken? Not sure who else.

If all else fails I figure I can maybe repurpose the sash from Warbird for Psylocke?

Does anyone have size comparison pics handy for the Target Warbird (and/or Dark Warbird) with the 2-pack Wasp (or either of the other 2 Hasbro comic Wasps)?

I sadly skipped both of the recent Warbirds after many reviews pointed out how out-of-scale they are to most MLs.

I'll reluctantly skip them again if Wasp is taller. I'd hate to have to use a 3-3/4 Wasp to make Carol look like Carol. In flats, Warbird is 5'11 & Wasp is 5'4. To compound the issue, Jan's Legends tend to be way too tall...Hank is 6', a good head taller than she is.

I'm probably being too picky, but...

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I can't help you specifically, but I will continue to say this narrative that Carol Danvers Warbird and Dark Warbird are short is a bit overstated.  Newer Marvel Legends figures are shorter than older figures (they are better proportioned; the torso-leg ratio is closer to correct). Warbird/Ms. Marvel is in scale (in my opinion) with figures like Jean Grey Phoenix, Shanna, and anyone using a newer female buck.

If you are dead set on her being taller than most other Legends characters, then you are likely to be disappointed. But she is not out of scale in some horrific way.  This reminds me a bit of the McFarlane Power Girl issue, when people said she was tall compared to early McFarlane figures. Scales change as lines evolve.

My pics show she is shorter than the older Scarlet Witch figure, about the same height as Phoenix, and shorter than Emma wearing her enormous heels.  I didn't bother with a picture, but she's quite a bit taller than the comic-based Spider Gwen figure and Kitty Pryde. She's also basically the same height as the recent Target Black Widow figure that everyone loves.

Also, I admit I have a bias here.  Ms. Marvel and Moonstone as Ms. Marvel are my two favorite Legends figures. But this version of Carol is probably my favorite Marvel character (other than maybe Emma Frost as the White Queen) so keep that in mind.  🙂
