I can't help you specifically, but I will continue to say this narrative that Carol Danvers Warbird and Dark Warbird are short is a bit overstated.  Newer Marvel Legends figures are shorter than older figures (they are better proportioned; the torso-leg ratio is closer to correct). Warbird/Ms. Marvel is in scale (in my opinion) with figures like Jean Grey Phoenix, Shanna, and anyone using a newer female buck.

If you are dead set on her being taller than most other Legends characters, then you are likely to be disappointed. But she is not out of scale in some horrific way.  This reminds me a bit of the McFarlane Power Girl issue, when people said she was tall compared to early McFarlane figures. Scales change as lines evolve.

My pics show she is shorter than the older Scarlet Witch figure, about the same height as Phoenix, and shorter than Emma wearing her enormous heels.  I didn't bother with a picture, but she's quite a bit taller than the comic-based Spider Gwen figure and Kitty Pryde. She's also basically the same height as the recent Target Black Widow figure that everyone loves.

Also, I admit I have a bias here.  Ms. Marvel and Moonstone as Ms. Marvel are my two favorite Legends figures. But this version of Carol is probably my favorite Marvel character (other than maybe Emma Frost as the White Queen) so keep that in mind.  🙂

Oh, wow...are you kidding?! That is a tremendous help!

I really appreciate the thoughtful response & constructive insight — and the terrific photos! Seeing Carol next to Wanda really puts it into perspective for me (I primarily collect classic Bronze Age Avengers).

The Warbird & Dark "Moonbird" figures ARE gorgeous — and they really don't look as small as I expected them to from other reviews.

I'm still hoping for a feathered hair disco Ms. Marvel in her red & midnight blue 70s costume (preferably sans the bare midriff), but I'm about to press go on this Warbird! (Maybe I can swap in a heeled foot to give her some height over Jan.) 😉

Thanks again! (Nice collection of ladies btw!)

PS: I would LOVE to get a ML of Jan in her classic Bronze Age gold & red "pixie" costume with the cowl neck shown on the attached cover, too!

So, I will argue she is undersized, pretty sure Carol is canonically 6ft tall, but that said the figure is a balancing and articulation masterpiece.  The things I've been able to do with it with minimal fuss amazes me. 5-stars.

And Rogue is supposedly 5'8.  But in every Rogue v. Ms. Marvel panel I've ever seen, they are the same height.

So make of canon what you will.  🙂

To me, Ms. Marvel doesn't stand out as short or out of scale. But you're right, she probably isn't made to be 6 ft in height either.

Issue with new Carol isn't that she didn't end up exact 5'11 and isn't taller than Spidey, but rather that she is smaller than Shriek base body or deluxe Phoenix, her legs are slightly shorter than Shrieks and her head is also smaller scale than most female Legends.

Thanks for the reminder that we don't have a Marvel Legends figure of Rogue in her green and white cloak. Damn.

Put her against the likes of Captain America or even Spider-Man and see how she sizes up then. Sure doesn't come across as 5'11" (comparitvely). The Power Princess figure height is a better match (but then again, according to the comics she's around 6'8" which means she should be taller than Cap); at least she doesn't look as out of scale as, sat, Black Widow.

No, it isn't a horrible figure. Neither is the Silver Surfer, Moon Knight, the Falcon or Firelord but then again they also are called out for being too short. Why hasbo can get more or less right and just toss the dice on others, I don't know. But it is what it is, and the errors are what they are.

The "who" is a big issue for these scaling and body type issues, as much as anything else. Captain Marvel, Silver Surfer and Moon Knight have all held down solo series for quite a while. Almost as long and consistantly as characters considered A list. Yet they cheap out or under represent them in figure form. And then with Powere Princess, it was a brand new sculpt right? I'm fine with the figure, but she ain't 6'8". Then we get back to how they are drawn, cause I can't think of a panel where she towers over her team mates That much. I don't love getting too hung up on the handbook size due to this. The body type issue is kinda the same. I didn't mind the earlier Silver Surfer or Firelord. But the reissue of Surfer annoyed me quite a bit. They needed to change that body type. They had a few bodies that would have worked better, and he has Zero add ons to the body!! No excuses there.  Listen to the fans! Most places I see, the Sunfire mold is reviled now due to its misuse and overuse. In a lot of cases, I think the Bucky Cap mold holds up better. As far as Carol, great figure, one of my favorites for posing and displaying. Glad we got a new body type, but it is short for a powerhouse and her scaling against actual Avengers teammates.

McFarlane scale is all over the place too.

Keaton was 5'9"

Reeve was 6'4"

Lynda Carter was 5'9"

Of course, McFarlane hasn't made a Lynda Carter. But Reeve and Keaton's figures are about the same height. Power Princess is just slightly shorter than either the Reeve or Batman figures. (Different line I know) However, it highlights her height in comparison to the Legends line. But for making a custom Wonder Woman? I can fudge it a bit.

Oh I don't even bother with McFarlane, for a host of reasons. Bringing him in is like the old saying, "two wrongs don't make a right". 🤣

I always appreciate when they re-release figures that were once locked behind a multi-pack. Here's hoping they'll do the same for Psylocke.

And Wolverine. I cannot justify paying 90 bucks CDN for a multipack. Even though I did that with the X-Men '97 multipack. Which at least has the excuse of being a Pulse exclusive, and I wanted both figures.

Whoa, looks like Nimrod was a victim of Hasbro’s yellowing plastic epidemic. I had thought only Transformers were affected. Kingdom Tigatron, Netflix Soundwave, Shattered Glass Starscream and many others have yellowed terribly.

Yellowing is NOT a hasbro thing. It is something all toylines have to deal with
