Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. It's that time of the year again. That time when we look back over the year and see what we have gotten from Hasbro in their Marvel Legends brand. If this is your first time here, each week, we have a series of polls. Each Poll has a category that you may vote for. This will be running for four weeks with a poll each week. The winner of each poll will then go onto the grand finals.

We actually have less then we usually have this year, believe it or not. Finding out what has been released was hard but I would like to thank legendsverse.com for making this so easy. This is not a sponsorship (but could be) but they help make it alot easier to find anything that was released this year. I know there may be a few things that have been released, like the Iceman and the Executioner wave but like Legendsverse and Hasbro I will consider them part of next year's line. So if a figure is not on the list, it will be next year.

This week we start off with three category.

  • Best Wave Assortments, where we look at a wave of figure and decide what was the best assortment of figures. for this I want you to look at figures in the wave, the character selection, and whether it was worth buying the full wave.
  • Best Packaging design, where we look at the unique packaging designs
  • Best Deluxe, where we look at the deluxe figures that have been release. These do not include multipacks as they will be a category of their own next week. Since we have had only one BAF this year, I decided to include him in this category. For this try to decide on the sculpt, paint apps and accessories.

Now for the Votes. You have until Sunday at 12am.

Okay here are my votes for this first batch of polls

Best Wave Assortment - Mini Comics Wave 2

Honestly it was a hard choice here, while Nemesis Wave was great, and the new Spider-Man retro wave is pretty decent, I ultimately have to say that Mini Comic won my heart, if solely because it gave us 2 really desired characters finally for me, in Racheal and Feral, and a Widow I was waiting for, Beast was a really nice looking figure (I didn't get it), and the last 2, clearly were not poor choices to be included in this wave. Nemesis Wave comes close behind, because of how much I like Husk and Marrow, and Fabian was wonderful to get, But I went with Mini Comics 2, Hey I would have picked Executioner wave had that been an option.

Best Package Design - Dragon Man Box

Dragon Man's box just was so well done, with taste, they could have just slapped him into any box, but they paid homage to the original design and I appreciated that, plus everything else this year was pretty blah.

Best Deluxe - Dragon Man

clearly Dragon Man has to win this, IYKYK, this figure is massively impressive and just shines, it's a superb piece for the shelf, Shuma...deserves to be mentioned, they did that very well, but Dragon Man was so good you had to make him MTO LOL.

Best Wave Assortment- Spider-Man Retro five.

I have most of the figures from this wave, so that's a good reason to vote

Best Package Design - Dragon Man Box

The fact the used the F4 00's  packaging made it really special

Best Deluxe - MVC Juggernaut

Big, impressive and poseable. Easily the best Jugs to date

I would have voted for the Executioner wave if it had been on there, shoulda been..

I don't really care about packaging.

Voted for Shuma Gorath as deluxe.  He's just so fun!

I gotcha. But I have it, and still don't have the mini comic wave 2, lol! Not debating or anything, it's just kinda funny.

Okay here's my votes for part 2

Best Exclusive Single - Spirit Spider

Yeah yeah, probably the only person who's going to vote for this one, but this was one of my favourite figures of the year, just on appearance alone, he's amazing looking, awesome head sculpt, fantastic paint job, I just love it.

Best Non Exclusive 2 pack -  MvC Captain America & Venom

honestly I didn't really know what to pick here, but I went with my initial feelings towards this 2 pack, I gave it the vote because it was 2 very nicely done figures IMO, the Cap is very excellent (despite it just being another good cap, we've seen a bunch over the past 3 years) it had cool effects, and the Venom is just a pretty figure, the blue is superb and stand out, and the new-ish headsculpt is my fav venom head to date. Sure there were other figures in other 2 packs that deserves awards...like Psylocke whatever, but this 2 pack was actually 2 good figures, not just 1. It was about the bigger picture.

Exclusive 2 pack - Madame Masque & Crossbones

another one I couldn't really figure out exactly what to pick for, maybe I was just not particularly entertained by most of those picks, but this 2 pack was a stand out, Long awaited Madame Masque! and I love it, despite me wishing it was classic, I appreciate this figure, if only to let an important villain rise from the depths of dark age figures, Plus we had a new Crossbones who just looks so bad ass that I adore him, I really went with the fact that this 2 pack had me pumped and it was 2 figures I was def going to want on my shelf.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Last week we began our annual Best of Marvel Legends voting, with part two, Best of 2025 Voting – Exclusive and Multipacks, currently running at the moment. I have removed the Catcha from the voting as people have told me it made it hard to vote. I added that because there was a troll who would try and lopsided the voting. Thankfully I have fixed that.

But enough about that. You want to know the winners of the voting from last week. There were quite a few ties, one of which I had to break. Thanks to all that voted and now.... the results:

Best Wave Assortment

(25.93%) Mini-Comic Wave 2

Winning the Best Wave Assortment and the first one of the year I had to use my tie-breaking privilege for, we have the Mini-Comic wave 2. Say what you will about the mini-comic gimmick but this wave had everything you could have wanted. Three figure we needed to help complete teams, (Rachel, Feral and Beast), one brand new character (Feral), two new costume (Rachel and DD), 2 remakes (Grey BW and Beast and..... the Silver Surfer. You guys know my opinion about that figure BUT it's not a bad figure for people looking for him. Taking second place we have the 97 wave 3 with the Nemesis and Mini-Comic wave 1 taking the third place.

Best Packaging Design

(28.57%) Dragon Man packaging

Nostalgia is best it seem as the winner of the best Packaging design is the Made-To-Order Dragon Man box. Some of you may say that this isn't a new packaging but this is new for Hasbro. It was Toybiz that released the original design. Plus I have had retro style packaging as winner the past few years so this counts. Taking second place we have the MVC Gamerverse with the Fantastic Four: First Steps, Savage Land Box set and the Mini-Comic cardback taking third.

Best Deluxe figure

(39.13%) Dragon Man

Of course it was going to be this one. Our First Semi-finalist and the winner of the Best Deluxe set is the Made to Order Dragon man. This is such a beautiful figure and a much needed update to what to many was the holy grail for many people. But it wasn't an easily win as taking second place is Gigantos of the MVC set with X-force Archangel.

And that is the winners of the first part of the Best of 2025. Now I know some will argue with the results but as always I say to people that this is what people are voting for. Also if you didn't vote, you can't complain. No seriously, I don't even want to hear from you. This is a fun thing and we want to enjoy it. Until next week my fellow Plastic addicts.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We're on part three of our annual Best of Marvel Legends voting and this time it's every one's favorite categories, the Comic voting. Out of all four of the semi-finals this is the one that gets the most votes from my readers. This year in particular has had a ton of comic figures, some new characters, new costume, remakes and a lot of beautiful.

Let me explain what each characters is first but before I do that just remember to vote for the sculpt, paint and accessories for the figure alongside:

  • Newcomer: This is the category for a character that is brand new to the line and has never had a Marvel Legends before. In addition to the mentioned above, I want you to vote the character and whether it was worth the wait.
  • Remake: This is for a figure that is a remake of a previous figure. It has to be the same costume as the previous figure (the previous on mentioned in the bracket ()) and you should decide which is a much better upgrade.
  • New Costume: here you can vote for a new figure that is based on a costume worn by a character we have had previously.
  • Re-release - Here you can vote for figures that have been released previously on the same body. Pinless limbs and new heads do not count as a remake.
  • Villain - Here you can vote for the best villain figure of the year
  • Female - and finally it's time for the ladies as you vote for the best looking FEMALE figure of the year.

Well enough about that. Voting!

Here are my votes for this recent set of polls.

Best Newcomer - ROM

I had to choose this guy, ROM was so well done for a figure they really honestly shocked me they even made, I gotta give it to Hazbru for doing a wonderful job on a character that was such a deep cut for many, they could have easily phoned it in, yet they even more could have just never done him, so I must appreciate him to the fullest.

Best Remake - Black Widow (Gray Suit)

I love this figure, this super articulated body for the ladies is just such a nice addition to the portfolio, and this figure is a really great looking one, I adore Widow in this gray outfit and I gotta give a thumbs up to everything going on with this figure, head sculpt, buck, outfit.

Best New Costume - Man Wolf

Man-Wolf is such a winner to me, a highly desired figure that really didn't seem like he was going to be revisited, and with such attention to details and this costume choice...chef's kiss, he's got an articulated jaw which is so always lovely, he's a good height, just a great looking figure, I can't say enough about my enjoyment for this one.

Best Re-Release - Sauron

Sauron is still one of my fav legend figures, Sauron is just a beloved character for me, I mean who doesn't think he's so darn cool? he's a giant evil pterodactyl man, like period! the first BAF was excellent and still stands up to the times, so to re-paint it more vibrant and give some nice new details made this figure so superb, sadly I didn't get this one...*grumbles* but I love it.

Best Comic Villain - Sauron

I'm just gonna say more of the same things I said above, awesome, rad, zippity bang, Dinosaur baddie....! ❤️

Best Comic Female - Feral

I Don't have a ton to say about Feral, other then she looks awesome, she is awesome, I've always been a big fan, always wanted a figure, here it is, and it is my fav female of the year, Amongst those choices..

We should have been able to vote for Dark Warbird as best Comic Female, though I am not upset to get a vote in (somewhere) for Savage Land Rogue.

There have been some amazing figures in 2025.  Dark Warbird might be might be my #1 Legends figure of all time. And Savage Land Rogue, Enchantress, Medusa, FF4 Sue Storm, and Shanna are all great.

That SNAP three pack is simply amazing (I'm sorry to rub salt in the wounds of anyone who didn't get it).  Even in the box, the figures look great.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. If you haven't make sure to vote for the best Comic figures, please take a few minutes to do so right here. But those results are for next week. THIS week we have the results of last week's voting where we were looking at the exclusives and multipacks. This one was a bit more divided except one. As always, just remember all of these will be moving onto the finals in a few weeks. So onto the results.

Single Exclusive

(25%) Target's Retro Card Mystique

Winning the best Single Exclusive we have the Target Exclusive X-men Retro Card Mystique. At initial glance, many people thought it was the same one that was previous release but it's not. Not only does it have new arms and legs but a newer torso as well. Taking second place and following very closely behind we have the Target X-Factor Jean Grey (which surprised me because of how many people were like "the legs"). For third place we have a tie of Gamerverse Spirit Spider/Ghost Spider and the Retro Card TAS Mysterio.

Non-Exclusive 2-pack

(50%) Deathbird and Gladiator

Taking half the votes, the winner of the best Non-Exclusive 2-pack with have Deathbird and Gladiator. Having just gotten it myself, I have to say I agree with this. Deathbird has been a long time coming and Gladiator is a major upgrade to the previous two. Taking second place we have the MVC Captain America and Venom with third place going to the X-23 and Warpath.

Exclusive Multipack

(42.86%) SDCC Savage Land set

The winner of the best Exclusive Multi-pack is the San Diego Comic Con Marvel's Snap Savage Land set with Shanna, Sauron and Rogue. All are great figures and two are something we never thought we would get. Taking second place we have the Target Exclusive MVC Psylocke and Thanos with the Amazon Exclusive Madame Masque and Crossbones.

Thanks. This was a tough poll. There were a lot of solid female figures in this group in particular (Psylocke, Emma Frost, '97 Rogue, and '97 Jean Grey).  I should have voted for Psylocke, but it's hard for me to vote against Emma.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Starting off if you haven't already please ahead over to Best of 2025 Voting – MCU / Animated / Gamerverse to vote for the other side of our collecting community. As for today we now have the results of the Comic votes and I have to say I have never seen a more definitive result since I start these annual polls. The minimum percentage that a winning figure had was a 25%. and the highest was over 50%. As always remember, the winner of each will go onto the final, Monday 22nd December, and these results are what people have voted for. If a figure you voted for didn't make it, maybe next time and if you didn't vote...... not a single word from you.

Newcomer

(51.85%) Rom the Space Knight

I have no arguments about this. The winner of the best Newcomer is Rom the Space Knight. Not only is this an amazing figure, it is something we never ever talk would get made (licencing, Hasbro character etc etc.) Taking second place, we have a tie between Deathbird and Marrow with another tie for third with Shuma-Gorath and Husk.

Remake

(25.00%) Astonishing Beast

I asked you all to pick a figure that is a greater improvement over the older figure and you guys did not disappoint. While it is the one with the smallest percentage of the six, this is such an improvement over the older one. I mean look at the old version. *Shudder*. Taking second place we have a three-way tie, with Dark Wolverine, Giant Size Banshee and Shanna. Third place when to X-Force Archangel.

New Costume

(45.83%) Excalibur Phoenix (Rachel Grey)

It was a long time coming but now we have one of the most requested new costume of all of Marvel Legends. And it was worth the wait. (Since people don't know, Rachel had a figure as part of the Brood Queen wave before.) Taking second with have her papa with X-Factor 1 Cyclops and a three way tie for third Dark Ms. Marvel, Sun God Man-Wolf and Savage Land Rogue.

Repaint/Re-release

(45.83%) Savage Land Sauron

There wasn't many re-releases this year but of the ones we get, Sauron was the clear favorite. Not surprising as it was the winner of the Best BAF of 2018. Second place went to the Mini-Comic Silver Surfer while Retro Weapon X took third.

Villain

(52.17%) Deathbird

Well, this was another clear victory. Taking the best villain figure of 2025 we have Deathbird. A long sought after character and it was one of the costumes we wanted but never thought we would get. And IMO it came out perfect. Second place went to Spider-man's clone Kaine with third place going to the Retro carded Mystique.

Female

(33.33%) Rachel Grey Phoenix

Time for the ladies to strut their stuff. Winning for the second time today we have Rachel. I already said what I had to for this in the New Costume section. Taking second place we have a tie with Savage Land Rogue and Retro Mystique with Shanna coming closely behind for third place.

And that is the winners of the Best Comic figures of the year. Again to remind people these will be going onto the finals on the 22nd of December. Let me know is any of the choices you had won in the comments below or on any of the social media sites.

Savage Land Rogue should have easily beaten Rachel Grey. People are holding scarcity against her. 🙂

Well, we can't judge what we don't have right? And Rachael is really nice, and one I've wanted for the entire 25 yrs I've been collecting this line. To be able to complete one team, and have every character (some in the wrong costume, but represented) of an awesome era X-Men team is really exciting for me. That did really add to my vote personally.
