This March, the X-Men unite to establish a new framework for mutants to thrive in X-Men United #1. The series, part of the upcoming Shadows of Tomorrow era, will be written by Eve L. Ewing—renowned for her work on Exceptional X-Men—and illustrated by Tiago Palma, who recently made his Marvel Comics debut in New Avengers.

This ambitious project brings together the entirety of the X-Men legacy, encompassing various generations, groups, and periods, under one initiative. It reimagines the traditional concept of a mutant academy through the inception of Graymatter Lane. Founded by Emma Frost and featuring a distinguished faculty that includes Wolverine, Magneto, Beast, Rogue, and Storm, as well as guest instructors from across the Marvel Universe, Graymatter Lane serves not only as an educational institution but also as the central nexus for global and interplanetary mutant engagement. While this endeavor has clear support, it is important to note that not all X-Men are ready to embrace a new school.

According to Ewing, “The idea for Graymatter Lane was a collective one, from lots of writers in a room brainstorming, and it's so cool because the psychic space allows for things to be weirder and more surreal, while still building on the classic Xavier's School energy we've all loved for decades.”

I’m sorry, Graymatter… really? This is one of the dumbest and unintentionally hilarious things from Marvel in a long time. A whole room of folks came up with this?

Yep. Goes like this:

"We need a fresh new idea that we can do with the X-Men!"

"Put em in a school environment?"

"Genesis!"

I'll give it a shot but honestly everything post Krakoa for me, save for Storm has very lackluster. I really did enjoy them bringing all mutants together but just going back to a school just seems "meh".

I love this poster despite disliking Cyclops' new costume, and I find it hilarious they changed Emma's hand placement so she doesn't have her fingers near Rogue's butt. I would never have noticed it otherwise; seems like Marvel has its own Streisand effect moment. Hopefully, the story will be more memorable than this edit.

Hard pass, I would like to see a story where her powers get amped up because she technically explodes matter at atomic level aka can technically do a atom bomb blast but we only see small scale fireworks 🎆,  she would be so O.P. & will give her more fan base & respect
