Assemble your ticket money, as Avengers: Endgame is getting re-released on Sept. 25, 2026, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday, which hits theaters on Dec. 18, 2026.

The second-highest grossing movie ever, the $2.799 billion movie wrapped up phase three of the Marvel Universe. Will it overtake Avatar to become the box office king? “On your left!” Jake Sully.

spacer.pngEndgame? I can't fathom why? it's not like it can directly lead into Doomsday since like 85 MCU productions have be released in between...so what's the point of it?

Honestly I would have thought it was at least really cool if they put both Infinity War and Endgame back in theatres as a back-to-back event, because that would be epic, but just Endgame, I fail to see the point, but someone can help me figure that one out, either way I'm not going, I've seen that movie like over 10 times at this point, opening weekend I watched it 3 times, In fact I watched it 10 hours after I saw it the first time..literally watched it, came home went to bed, woke up and saw it again LOL. I'm good.

Clearly an attempt to try and drum up more interest for Doomsday but it would make sure sense to release both Infinity War and Endgame given it is a two parter

I'm wondering if this is purely for marketing purposes, a warm up or if there is a more direct connection between the two movies?

Totally guessing here, but my thought is there are two forms of motivation at play here- firstly, since some of the OG Avengers will be back in Doomsday, it is an attempt to help get people hyped to see those old heroes again. The second is the fact that I’m thinking Disney/Marvel is nervous that Doomsday wont have the draw the MCU did in its glory days if they don’t piggyback off of the success that Endgame had. Considering that almost everything post-Endgame has been a bit of a misfire, If Doomsday flops, I am thinking the extra money from the Endgame rerelease will help cushion the blow a bit. In other words, they are trying to milk Endgame while they can.

Yeah it makes sense, but I wouldn't rule out a direct connection between the two movies. It's funny if they think that's how they're gonna win the audiences back. I don't know, I'm only guessing here, too.
