Well...dayum. 

Ok, so most of that DP & Wolverine wave is fire. Just kind of irritating that they make a more definitive version of those figures now. I mean I already bought third party bone claws, the skull and spine, and sleeveless arms for Wolverine. I may double dip for that Battle damaged wolverine...where they actually look like they fixed his boot being twisted. I'll probably pass on the deluxe Deadpool. 

Beyond that? X-23 is a maybe. Blade is a definite. Cowboy Pool likely. And that brown and tan Wolverine? Probably the best Brown and Tan John Byrne inspired Wolverine we've seen thus far (Secret wars is a bit too orange and not really doing it for me). That Storm/Wolverine two pack might be the current best comic book one?) No unmasked head is a bit irritating after they had a damned good Jackman head on the previous release. 

Grizzly and Abomination? Maybe. If I have to pick either of them? I'd likely go for Abomination. Grizzly looks cool but I don't have a ton of affinity for the character. Super happy others here get him though!

Comic Colossus and Kitty? YES. Definitely. I am missing a comic Colossus. I don't have many of the astonishing figures. (Wolverine is on preorder, have astonishing beast). But I am more of a 90's X-men guy. But I don't really care. This looks comic enough to fit in with the 90's designs. I don't mind mixing and matching. But as others have said, It's likely we see him pop up in gamerverse? So not sure, maybe I should just wait for all the comic figures I want to come from gamerverse lol. 

That ghost rider and the bike are likely. It looks cool. (if I can swing it.)

2026 is looking like it will be off to a pretty good start with that updated BAF Lizard and these too. 

Oh the Punisher mech looks cool and all, but is probably too big and outside my scope. If I was more of a Punisher nut? I'd probably consider it, but I am going to try and be more selective. If it were a classic black suit with white gloves/boots Punisher? I'd bite (despite already having gamerverse Punisher).

Man, what a great way to end the year. My thoughts:

• Valentines Man. Sure, why not? If Legends is getting into the Black Series holiday lines, I'm looking forward to the rumored Christmas Spidey now
• DP3 stuff: YES YES YES!!! Everyone looks so good, though I am a bit disappointed that we get 2 more Logans instead of Gambit and Elektra. Hopefully we get a third wave or a single release or something down the line. 
• Grizzly!!! I've been wanting him ever since they released Ursa, so glad we finally get him.
• Ghost Rider, looks cool but no interest
• Kitty/Colossus. They look great, I'm sure X-Men and astonishing fans will be thrilled.
• War Machine Punisher... 11 year old reuse of MCU Hulkbuster. Really all it does for me is remind me that we still don't have Infinity War Hulkbuster. When's that coming?
• Teases, the falcon is cool, I love me some Hasbro animals

Definitely started stronger than it ended for me, but still a super strong set of reveals.

That's the frustrating part. Like they are already right there doing new tooling. Just...put the fries in the bag and give them pinless while at it. Same with Blue Venom. I like Blue Venom, but you could tell all the budget went to Cap, and I guess I am ok with that when Cap is as good as he is. But for single releases that are updates? Man it feels like a kick in the pants. 

The updated Lizard BAF is nice too but they stopped short and didn't give us an updated tail. 

Same with the DP&Wolverine figures. The Jackman Wolverine had a twisted boot, (that now looks fixed). And then they give him the sleeveless arms most people wanted to start with battle damage. But now they don't give you the unmasked head...

This please. I don't even care if she's not in the red leather outfit. MCU Gambit and Elektra would be dope. I mean we probably will get a new Gambit/Rogue in the MCU Debut of the X-men team...so these would be more like one offs which is why a stronger case can be made for Blade.

I think there is something up with licensing these celebrity heads.  To me, it's not shocking they didn't do any Jackman or Reynolds heads. It fits with where they've been going for a while.  Do they pay extra if they include them? I'm assuming so (when Elektro came out that was made clear). So they are skipping them.  We had the same thing happen with Spider-Man in the last reveals.  It makes me wonder about the future of figures that don't have masks.

All passes for me. That Abomination is disappointing too; they could have at least given Emil some fists! No biggie, the new Black Bolt and Champion figures respectfully have me more than content with Marvel hauls for new year!

Trying to cut down on figs (especially MCU) but those D&W figures are making it really difficult.

Only definite pickup for me is the Kitty and Colossus 2 pack. I wonder if this Colossus is any taller than the previous releases?

Out of curiosity... did anyone have issues with their old Juggernaut 2-pack colossus getting super loose at the hips joins? I have mine splayed pretty far to toss wolverine at a sentinel and now its so bad he can't stand on his own. His leg joins at the hip are so loose he legs spread almost like he's doing the splits and falls. I have him supported on a wire/stand. I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue. More I look at the new figure, more these parts seem the same which is actually really turning me off.

My Toy Biz one is super loose, but the Juggernaut two pack one is still tight.

100% the brown suit is superior ofc imo. Ik, at times I come off as negative or even nagging about toys. It just internally scrapes at me to see half-ass work, knowing what they're capable of, but only seeing it a quarter of the time or even less.

No, this is a very reasonable explanation. I do remember hearing guys like Dan explain some of the production process and how it's more difficult to produce 2 figures utilizing the same body mold. However, with their first mini-comic book wave, they created two figures using the Vulcan mold: Banshee and Adam Warlock. And again, you're right, if Hasbro had released that yellow suit as some exclusive let's say deep 2026 that would be inadmissible. But that is a common Hasbro tactic that has been done time and time again, like the reuse of the Sunfire mold, knowing that the superior version of that body is right there. So, anything Hasbro does doesn't surprise me haha.

I think it's almost a given that they probably pay a fee to license the likeness. Unless that is part of the contract that the actors sign for merchandise to allow their likeness to be used in any film related merchandise to where that is baked in. But if the company i.e. Disney pays more up front for using the actor's likeness? One would assume that the cost then would sort of be baked in to the merchandise produced? But from what I read it would depend on what is in their contract as negotiated by actor/etc.

Ryan Reynolds it seems has been the or a holdout? For an unmasked deadpool head anyway. Residuals being another factor. But the thing that stood out to me is the 'time'. Remember they did that No Way Home 3 pack with no unmasked heads for the three spideys and then they all got single card releases with unmasked heads. Hasbro clearly paid for the likenesses of Cassandra Nova, X-23 and Wesley Snipes Blade. I think it's more that they figured people already have that Wolverine...with unmasked head so they felt they could cut some cost there. It's also possible that license for his likeness expired and they didn't feel it was worth it to renew the license for Jackman's head. With regards to Electro though? I may be wrong, but I think that was a case purely of they couldn't get the license? I imagine there is a lot of licensing these live action likenesses we aren't privy too. A lot of McFarlane collectors have wanted Jack Nicholson's Joker. I feel like if Hasbro feels there is enough demand/desire they could make it happen. I still have to think for a MCU film though? Disney would probably be keen to bake that kind of licensing to likeness into the contracts? We know that people are going to want a RDJ Dr. Doom head for example.

Couldn't they have reused like the Venom fists or even Hulk or Gorgon fists? Maybe added a bit of sculpting if necessary.

Im iffy on Cassandra. Love her accessory, but I may wait to see if she goes to clearance. I would get deadpool if I didn't already have him with 3rd party accessories (and gold pistols). Blade is a definite for me and probably cowboy pool too. Laura again is a bit iffy. Glad her toe claws are removable too. Wouldn't mind Dogpool. Brown and Tan and Battle Wolverine are definite pickups though

Definitely picking up Blade and X-23. Also Dan says more Deadpool and Wolverine related characters next year, so I’m guessing the rumors of Gambit in the Doomsday wave are true.

Kitty and Colossus are great. Hopefully Armor is next to complete the Astonishing team.

Cant wait to see Professor Hulk.

I know they have to pay something. What I meant was that it almost seems like they have pay each time they use it, not pay once and they have the likeness indefinitely or for some number of years.  It's weird they could do Jackman, for example, last year but not this year.  It's also clear that actors and actresses are becoming more protective of their likeness rights (probably to charge more).  There are more holdouts than there used to be, particularly from MCU films.  Strangely, though, this doesn't seem to come up in Star Wars (although I will be curious about what happens with Mandalorian going forward since he's kind of taken off in the last few years).

In short, I have been intrigued (in a bad way) by the lack of unmasked MCU heads lately.  And I expect it to happen more often going forward. 

Also, I didn't quote correctly, but I would be shocked beyond belief if Cassandra and X-23 aren't on clearance for like 50% off this time next year (or earlier).

Grizzly is the only guaranteed  buy from me.  I do like that Ghost Rider. I’m still using the original ToyBiz version so it might be time to upgrade. 

I don’t collect MCU figures (I do like Cowboy Deadpool’s spinning gun), I have two or three Abominations already that are fine to me.  I dont collect figures of most characters or designs past 2000, so no Astonishing.

i do have some concerns though. Seems like a massive amount of reuse (BAF Abomination, BAF Usra, Hulkbuster) and Deadpool and Wolverine came out a year and a half ago. Only thing I’m interested in from that super-hyped movie is Blind Al.

No no no, your assumption is correct, Grizzly is red and part of Cable's Six Pack, but he is also this guy. 2 characters same alias name. I would be ecstatic if Hasbro finally came around to doing that squad with Kane and G.W Bridge, and I have a strong feeling that is not coming ANY time soon. They haven't even made a cable in that look, which tells us all we need to know.
