Shown below is the new Hasbro Marvel Legends Marvel's Bullseye and Marvel's Muse 2-Pack. Approx. Retail Price: $55.99 | Pre-Order on March 4th at 1PM ET on HasbroPulse.

Marvel’s Bullseye: Recruited to burn down Hell’s Kitchen, frequent Daredevil nemesis Bullseye finds himself on a path to prove he’s the world’s greatest assassin. Marvel’s Muse: Deranged criminal Muse turns his victims into performance art pieces drawing the attention of vigilante hero Daredevil, the protector of Hell’s Kitchen. These two characters make an excellent 2-pack, because they both share a flair for the dramatic (and sometimes melodramatic). This works out well when it’s time to pose these villains against your favorite Marvel Legends Daredevil action figures. Each figure features 25+ points of articulation, making for awesome play and display. Bullseye comes with 4 alternate hands, 1 alternate head, 1 machete, 1 knife, 1 hatchet, 1 pistol, 1 rifle, and 1 bat while Muse comes with 4 alternate hands, a knife, and a paint can.

Okay wow, some pretty nice stuff, some left field things.

here's the thoughts

(credit to whomever I stole this template from 🙂 )

Classic Falcon - Must have! finally the Falcon I've always wanted.
Constrictor - A new constrictor that looks very good, totally a get, to replace that old crunkled one.
Absorbing Man - I think this is a Pass, I have the BAF and it's looking cooler then this.
Magik - Yeah, it's a Magik, and I think I will have to say heck yes.
Spider-Man. - Easy Pass
Daredevil - On the fence, while I think it's the best DD ive seen yet, I already have a DD I'm happy with...but I might replace it with this.

Muse and Bullseye - Very stoked on this, mainly for Muse, he looks awesome, Bullseye is a cool version, I will get this
Avengers Crossing Quicksilver and Black Widow. - I kinda like both of these figures, but not familiar with either outfit, I might get it on the strength of Quicksilver...but Not sure if I really need it, I know I certainly don't need this Widow, I'm prettty widowed out.
Deluxe Onslaught. - Totally must have for me!
Deluxe X-Men 97 Archangel -  Don't need no 97 figures, but I already have a Archangel so..maybe if I didn't but I do, so easy pass
Maximum Thor - Seems cool, but like all of the Maximum offerings so far, I really don't need it, I have several great thors at this point, and this look was never super important to me. So seems like a no for me. Throg is the best thing about this, but You won't be getting me on that, with no articulation, poo poo, cool to see so much soft goods on this Thor TBH.

Should preface this by saying I mainly buy Spider-Man figures. Not trying to be a buzz kill about the other figures.

So thoroughly disappointed. I was fully prepared for a classic 80s Spider-Man based on the Amazing Fantasy buck - maybe with a Parker head. You know, to be paired directly with the symbiote Spider-Man based on the AF buck?

And the thing is, I don't even mind a unique symbiote abduction figure on paper. But this has the RYV body. And I just don't understand the pivot back to that mold. It seemed like they had settled on using the AF body for SM variants, and I was very pleased by that thought.

...damn. Well...maybe a red/blue AF SM can still come as a Gamerverse figure.

I kinda love that only Absorbing Man and Spidey were in the comic series, with the rest being Mattel figures homage plus ?!Magik?!? BUT Volcana  better get a figure before they call it quits on this line.. there really is no better subline to slip her into.

I get that Volcana was a big part of both original Secret Wars series, and I hope you get a figure of her, and I agree that here would have been the perfect place for it. But, Magik was actually part of several fights during the core Secret Wars II title, and the New Mutants title had substantial crossover with Secret Wars II, with the Beyonder specifically interacting with Magik more than once. On the other hand, Constrictor didn't appear in any panel of any Secret Wars issue, I don't think, and Daredevil appeared far less than Magik, if at all. I know those are both homages to the original toy line, but Magik feels like a fine inclusion to this subline (certainly not completely out of left field), and is frankly a heavily overdue inclusion to the line at large. I couldn't be happier to finally get this version of her. I wouldn't turn down a version of her to match the outfit of the Dani Moonstar figure, though... or a Fall of X version... or a Darkchylde version... or...

Classic Falcon - Looks really good and scratches a lot of itches for classic look collectors. Will pick up.
Constrictor - Nice update. The old one was fine, but I don't mind this version, and it checks a box for the classic SW series recreators, so all good. Will pick up but lower priority.
Absorbing Man - Nice for those that don't have the BAF. Looks good but the lack of 'absorbing' parts is a knock against it. Hope this isn't a pre-tool for a Hulk series deluxe version *with* those parts... Lower priority pickup.
Magik - Looks great and it's nice to see a new Magik. Will pick up and hope it's the start of a classic New Mutants team to build.
Spider-Man. - I get the desire to put in an anchor A-list character, but this is far from the most appealing offering. The execution of the idea is nice enough - the sculpted details are good but does make it's potential use super-specific. Will only pick up if cheap.
Daredevil - Looks really good, but I can't help but wonder if they're going to do a Maximum release of DD that will make this redundant like the rumored black costume Spidey. Tentative pickup barring news of further releases of the character in better form.

Muse & Bullseye - Muse looks great. At first glance I though it was the MCU version, which speaks to how well the costume team translated that look to screen! Bullseye is not a version I'd get on it's own, but is a good alternate look that adds something. Will get at some stage.
Avengers Crossing Quicksilver & Black Widow - As awful as The Crossing is as a story, I've long felt they would make pretty good action figures. The execution seems a little off, though - that Black Widow costume should have a higher 'collar' and the lightning designs on Quicksilver seem too small between the 'spikes'. I may be misremembering that but I think a slightly simplified lightning bolt would look better. Interested to see if we get more than just this pack. Probably get.
Deluxe Onslaught - Nice. I have the BaF already so not a high priority, but really good for more people to get him.
Deluxe X-Men 97 Archangel - Ehhh... not my favorite character and I'm only so-so on most of the X-Men '97 figures anyway. Nice enough and I assume this confirms he'll have a part to play in season 2, but it's not as exciting as a mainline release for me.
Maximum Thor - I'm super surprised to see this being the JMS-era design rather than classic Kirby Thor. I really thought the Maximum Series was all about the most iconic versions of the core characters. Don't get me wrong - I love this look and it's my favorite Thor (I still use the 'Return of Marvel Legends' version as my display Thor), I'm just very surprised. A lot of interesting choices for piece count there, but there's so many things missing too - fists and a twirling hammer are essential for Thor, so maybe they're holding those back for a classic version? If not, then this feels as similarly non-ultimate as Spidey did when he failed to include the already tooled web wraps that would have made him truly maximum. Will pick up but holding out for a sale.

The only thing I'm interested in is the one thing I can't get because it's Pulse exclusive! I really liked the Muse and Bullseye figures, they look amazing and would fit my MCU display well enough... I probably won't look for it tho, but I really hope we get MCU versions eventually. That Muse is really a work of art.

I was waiting for you to comment! Figured you'd be pretty happy with this!

Happy indeed. Deduct points for size (!) and Redwing's lack of articulation (also he's not even reddish or even russet), but the details they did get, they did very well.  The stylized "beak" on his cowl, for example. Too often people get lazy about that and just draw it as a simple diamond (even the late great Sal Buscema did it, in the Falcon's first solo comic in Marvel Premiere- and HE was the one who first drew the Falcon in his iconic red/white/Winged outfit!) so I was very glad they took the time to do it in action figure format correctly.  The boots with the white "fringe" and then the raised talons- don't think anyone has gotten that right since the old Toybiz days.  Technically the wings should cover his back but I've never seen a way to do that on a plastic figure. So yes this is overall a great rendition of the Falcon's classic 70s look.

DEFINITELY picking up that Daredevil and the Bullseye/Muse 2 pack. Thought about Archangel, but I have the deluxe version and I like those bigger vac metal wings better.

That "Maximum" Thor? Wow did they drop the ball. Weakest accessory set in the line so far, how does he NOT have the spinning hammer?

The one figure that attracts me is the Secret Wars Spidey, but there are a lot of things wrong with it.

The symbiote portion stopping abruptly at the diaphragm joint looks flat-out lazy, and the execution of the white emblem leaves a bit to be desired. The legs stop at the mold seamline, and the upper leg going over the shoulder makes zero sense, given that it's both off-model and the previous symbiote figures didn't do it like that. While you could brush off both of these details saying that it's the emblem coming into form, it doesn't look like that, and if that was the intention, the execution could have been better.

I think the biggest issue is the mold inconsistency. If your previous Black-Suited Spidey in the same line focusing on the same comic story uses the Amazing Fantasy body mold, it goes without saying that this figure should have been done in that mold as well. Funnily enough, I only mind this objectively, because I personally prefer the RYV mold, and this figure can still work as an evergreen symbiote takeover figure. But still, squarely on principle, it's a big issue. Plus, from the angle of this as an evergreen symbiote takeover figure, I wish it didn't feature the battle damage.

The use of uneven sets of hands is also annoying, and it speaks a lot of Hasbro's cost-cutting measures. It's sad the way the blister looks kinda empty, and it's arguably this wave's headliner figure. It's a Spider-Man, for god's sake!

All of this being said, this figure does tickle the fancy of my inner child. Damn you, Hasbro. You know how to play me like a fiddle. Worst of all, I won't even be able to wait for this to drop in price, given it's a Spider-Man. I don't want to enable Hasbro, but... 😭

Well..I must say this was a nice offering. Unfortunately I only collect X-men figures so its just Magik for me. Im hoping Magma shows up sooner than later.

If I was still buy all Marvel legends...the Falcon and Constricter woukd be instant buys! Not sure why we needed another Absorbing Man but hey..he looks good. Best DAREDEVIL yet!

Posted

The Daredevil base body has great potential for inevitable repaints into more modern comic versions, but as it stands, I'll probably skip it—it's too retro for my liking. Still, it's good to see a new hyper-articulated body in the line.

I'm glad to see that Falcon got sculpted pointy boots. Hopefully this will encourage them to consider making more classic pointy boots as interchangeable pieces for other characters. Magik is a pleasant surprise, and Absorbing Man looks great with pinless arms. For bare arms and legs, the pinless system is incredibly effective aesthetically.

I'm surprised they used the larger adult RYV Spider-Man body for the transformation—now the continuity with the previous figure makes no sense. In fact, it would have made more sense for the Symbiote version from the first wave to be on the RYV body, since the symbiote can easily add extra mass and make the host more muscular and bigger. The other way around makes zero sense.

Thor finally brings the much-anticipated wired capes to the Legends line, and his body sculpt is superb. However, I really don't like any of the head sculpts—nothing comes close to the Marvel Select version from over 16 years ago. Even if the head sculpts were better, it looks as if Thor has no neck.

Dwight tease for the weekend. All I can think of is it's the underside of a manhole cover that can be thrown.

EDIT: Someone guessed it for the rumor Mole Man and the Moloid and you know something, that is what this is.

So your trying to suggest this is a manhole cover? LOL should probably just say that. If it is then it must be the underside of it. The little indent on the side could suggest manhole cover but nothing else about it other than being circular in shape says manhole cover.

I have a few things to say. First of all, regarding Absorbing Man: even though I was not planning on getting him. I am FURIOUS that Hasbro is cheaping out by not giving us any absorbing parts with him. A retool of the BAF with new hips would have made perfect sense. It's another one of Hasbro's 'we'll half-ass something and then release the better version one year later'. SPIDER-MAN gets new effects parts over Absorbing Man? This is beyond ridiculous.

Second of all, what is with Hasbro skimping out on hands? Would it kill them to give every figure an even set of hands? The way Hasbro is running its company is making me cut down on my Legends spending because I will not support such crappy business practices.

Third, since when did Archangel use a blaster in the X-Men cartoon? I would have preferred the flechette effects. I will be picking him up to update my O5 X-Men display from the previous deluxe release and to match my graded X-Factor #23 signed by Walter and Louise Simonsen.

Fourth, I wish Hasbro would give Constrictor extra hands and make new tendrils. I hate it when they reuse the same accessory for characters when it would have made more sense to create new versions. I.E, Wild Child's chain being awkwardly used by Spider-Venom.

The figure for the manhole cover could also be Vermin

That makes even more sense, Werewolf by Night needs just new head and it's good to go, I think every second appearance by Vermin has him depicted crawling out of manhole.

So just because he doesn't have the spinning hammer effect they dropped the ball? True it would have been better to include it, but I think they improved on this one in some ways from the previous modern thor releases.
