Sony and Marvel have finally released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. We see a lot of familiar faces from the comics in this one. Joining Spider-Man are both Punisher and Dr. Banner. On the villain side we see the likes of Scorpion, Boomerang, Tarantula and the ninja clan known as The Hand. We also see what appears something that posses others to do their bidding including an old lady in a tank. This could be an indication of a number of Marvel Villains including Mister Negative.

We see Spider-Man receive the Key To The City from someone other than Mayor Wilson Fisk which could be a spoiler for the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Peter also seems to be mutating and no longer needs to use mechanical web spinners at some point in the movie. Whether this is a temporary thing and his web shooters become organic like the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man or perhaps he will become Man-Spider at some point?

At one point we see Spider-Man holding someone as he web-swings in the city. This is not only a nod to the cover of Amazing Fantasy, his first appearance in the comics but this also looks like might be something that coincides with the events in the Thunderbolts movie.

Check out the trailer below.

After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.

There are some beautiful shots in this trailer. I like that by the looks of it Spiderman is finally gonna be on his own, without someone over his head and I'm happy to finally see Scorpion!

Looks Amazing!! And yeah, Tarot, I was wondering the same thing about this mutation sub plot. Or maybe ManSpider! That would look absolutely Spectacular on screen!!

Looks great, I had faith though, I see indeed there are a fair amount of villains stuffed in here, as was rumoured, I have a strong feeling that these will be short montages/flashbacks, Ala how they did in FF, and these won't be substantial characters, Scorpion Maybe..but like Tarantula, Boomerang and the Hand, I'd be shocked if they actually had vast screen time.

I think it seems a lock, Six-Arm spidey is gonna happen.

Ah, those shots from the covers of Amazing Fantasy #15  and Amazing Spider-Man #134.....face is starting to hurt from the perma smile that gave me!

Sadly, not even Spider-man can get me interested in the MCU again. Interesting that they are going the Other.

Definitely a different Spider-Man movie than we've had before but I'm here for it. I love the street level interactions with Punisher and the villains, if Daredevil appears in this movie I might freak out. I'd also normally be more worried about multiple villains, but given these are low-level villains, I can excuse it here if there's a big bad behind it all, which it certainly seems like there will be.

I enjoy that this once again didn't give a lot away. Yes, there's a Hulk fight but we all knew that was coming. I'm really interested to see where this story goes.

I...I have no idea what's going on in this trailer, but it has me really excited for the movie.  Is there a Spidey villain that can possess people?  Everyone in NY got frozen somehow, except for Spidey?  When did Peter and Frank meet?

Just what a trailer is supposed to do, make me want to see the movie.

I'm assuming it's a slightly wrong take on Mr Negative. He possesses people to be his Inner Demons. But it's not like he jumps from.person to person like in the trailers. Kind of annoyed, as always, that they can't seem to understand power sets and limitations that make the characters unique and interesting. He probably won't even have a physical form and he'll jump from body to body like a million movies we've already seen.

Ah, Mr Negative.  I am not familiar with him.

Although now I want the next Marvel/DC crossover book to have a Mr Negative vs Negative Man story.

That's actually the point. According to Tom Holland, the story is part mystery so  naturally they are trying to avoid revealing too much about the main villain

Nice, it was a fun trailer, has me excited, but I'd say it didn't tell me much more then I knew, But I think thats the point, but yeahhh, still who is Sadie Sink? that's everyone's fav mystery.

Remind me, have Peter and Frank meet in any other shows/movies before, or they gonna have to explain all that in this movie?

They have not interacted in the MCU prior to this movie.

Yeah, that's what I thought.  Thanks for confirming!

Also, I'm not sure how I'd feel about Miles jumping to the MCU.  He's a fun character, I guess, but I like my Spider-Men being Peter Parker.

Just started reading Slott's Spider-Verse, and there are just too many spiders and it gets oh so confusing.

I always felt like Sony should just take Miles, do whatever they want with him, there's less lore so less griping, and use alt versions of the villains. Let MCU use Peter and all his characters/villains. Then once every few years have a crossover movie that would create money. Pretty easy.
