Hasbro's Dan Yun Sets Expectations Ahead of Monday's Fanstream

Hasbro's Dan Yun shared the following update regarding the upcoming Marvel Legends Fanstream, which is scheduled for May 18th at 11:00am ET.

Well there we have it. What is the SDCC and which Hulk fig. Pessimisticly, I'll assume Cyborg Hulk since I have zero interest. But I'll keep hoping for Doc Samson. Abso-lutely no idea on the SDCC.

Highly doubtful that "another green figure" will mean Harpy...she'd be a BAF most likely, but then again they didn't say it wouldn't be....still it would be great! I mean they haven't re-used the Angel's wings and its really odd that they haven't....this would be a good usage....

Hopefully it's not a reissue of Fin Fang Foom. I can see how they would think that's a big deal.

I mean it won't be but why would that be a bad thing? People have been asking for either a reissue or a new Larger version of the character for years.

The only Fin Fang Foom mentions I've heard were Haslab related. I don't see them just repainting anything from that bygone era. They do some annoying stuff, but that would be beyond the pale I think. The figure really doesn't hold up anymore either, imo. I honestly should just sell mine while hes worth something. As far as a Haslab of Fin, Dwight mentioned a 500 dollar price tag that would be even higher now, with all the stupidity going on. I don't think it would be a great time for it..I know, as much as I love the character and would love a huge dragon, there is no way I could justify spending 700 dollars right now.

I think is Hulk from Capcom VS Marvel, and the other reveal may be the Sentinel ... as Exclusive! Make sense, they were a hit in sales and they say are related reveals

Okay. Since I have seen it on several forums, we have it on good authority that the next Hulk figure will be 2099. but that is not all as we are also getting the Future Foundation as 2-packs with Sue and Reed plus Ben and Peter. (you have no idea how many time I wrote Johnny in that)

If the SDCC exclusive figures turn out to be the Future Foundation, that would be a great choice. It's a version of the Fantastic Four that most collectors probably wouldn't consider essential.

Ideally, I'd like to see Reed, Sue, and Ben released together in a 3-pack, with Spider-Man released separately on a retro card. However, if the set ends up being two 2-packs, hopefully Hasbro finds a way to release the Spider-Man figure on its own at some point for collectors building a Spider-Verse display.

As for the loose connection between the Future Foundation and Hulk 2099, I guess the link is that one has "Future" in the name, while the other is literally from the future?

No no. The FF are standard releases.

Best thing in the world for me if it's Hulk 2099 because that's an easy skip.

I do hope that Mole Man isn't an SDCC exclusive though. If it's what was suggested being him and a couple of Moloids, then I can completely see it being one. 

Really hoping it's something from completely out of nowhere though.

It would be cool to create an official forum where we fans could post our top 5 wishlists.

That way, Hasbro could take into account what we'd like, so they could get some guaranteed earnings... maybe something like that already exists?

Hasbro are on these forums, social media and subreddits. They do look at lists. and you said that Hasbro will take into account what we want but every time we get what we want, there are dozens of people whining that it's not at they want.

It is disheartening sometimes. Everytime I'm super excited for a figure, some site says itll be an instant pegwarmer and say things like, "literally no one knows who this is!" If any of you can just hear the bandana clad dudes voice.  Like the amount of sites that had no idea who Box is, while most of this site is champing at the bit to build him.

That is what I love about the modern day BAFs. they are obscure enough that people who don't know who they are can skip on it and does that do will love it.

That's the way BAFs should be, characters you don't really have a chance of selling as a Deluxe but still is a cool bonus if you do want it

I agree about bafs, but I was more commenting on the obscure characters in general. Hardcores want them, and those characters are who keep me collecting. But they get trashed in online comments pretty consistantly. I worry that those voices will drown out ours when it comes to soooo many needed figures. Especially given that they have actual channels, and we are on just listing away on here and in comments. It would be nice for the Legends team to actually have their own site that invited requests and lists like the original commenter was saying. I always hope they look on here, and sometimes it seems they do, but if they did they'd have made at least Hogun and his friends by now😉 I mean, sheesh, he's a freakin member!!!

Yeah I hear ya! Same guy said no one wanted Marrina, nobody cared about Alpha Flight's full original roster, etc. Well I firmly disagree- sure, some figures are not as popular as others, that's nothing new. But going to the "no one asked for this" is such a played out, and unnecessary theme. Marrina should have been in the Alpha box set, hands down. But finally she's on the way. The Starjammers should all be done by now too, but that doesnt mean they're not wanted. Were there really THAT many collectors that wanted ROM? Yet look how he turned out. That is a STELLAR figure, regardless as to his "popularity". 

I honestly can't tell how the hasbo team chooses which figures to make, or when to make them. Ive heard them mention they "listen to the fans" but as long as I've been on this forum, people have wanted the Warriors Three, Air Walker, completion of teams, etc and you can see the results. I would say, if you want a figure, keep saying it. Chances are youre not the only voice in the wilderness that wants it. 

And even if you are, so what. As long as they make it accurately, its all win-win!
