Dan Who? Reviews takes a look at the Marvel Legends Secret Wars Wave 2 Daredevil Figure from Hasbro, which is now available at places like our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store , Entertainment Earth, and Nerdzoic.

I can't wait to see this figure released in an official darker maroon-red repaint, perhaps as a two-pack with Elektra on a modified Psylocke body, though Elektra on her own would also sell perfectly well.

It’s interesting how often they will reuse this DD body mold in the future. At this point, we have at least three new  highly articulated, pinless male bodies: a larger medium build with Punisher, a smaller, skinnier medium build with Maximum Spidey, and a new true middle-ground body with this Daredevil release. We could even see a fourth if they modify the forearms on the recent Spider-Man 2099 figure which would be highly superior to RYV. While it seems likely they’ll continue using the Vulcan body for characters like Constrictor, there’s no real reason to reuse Sunfire anymore, unless it’s a clever reuse similar to what they did with Starfox.

I am quite a fan of this figure, I have been with the Defenders 4 Pack DD as my DD since that came out, and I enjoyed it, I did get the 3 pack figure, but for some reason didn't really like it over the Defenders figure, it just seemed to scrawny, I apperciated the articulation update, but it just wasn't my DD, this however is the best DD yet personally, I like this new buck and I think it represents DD well, enough I'm going to update with this one, the only tiny nitpick is the Black DD sign on the chest, like sorry but I never remember him having that, I guess it's a shadowing thing going on, either way it looks good.

The paint scheme is based off the original Secret Wars figure from the '80s I believe.

Oh yes that's exactly it, I looked at the original 80's figure, indeed this is replicating that figure, even with the boot deco, good catch there!.

Overall, it's a great figure, but the more I watch the reviews and play with the recent GamerVerse Venom, the more I realize this figure could have been better. Yes, I'm talking about the shoulders. While they are thankfully big and nowhere near as low or gappy as the horrible Sunfire one, the GamerVerse Venom figure proves Hasbro could have done more. In Venom's case, who has gigantic shoulders, they extend slightly above the upper butterfly cut line. In contrast, with this Daredevil figure, the entire shoulder sits below that butterfly line. While this might seem like nitpicking, it makes a big difference when it comes to superhero aesthetics. Again, it's not the end of the world, but since Hasbro knows how to do better, I would expect them to do better.

I haven't seen enough of this figure but it almost seems like it's just an updated articulated body of the Spider UK

Having this figure In hand, I'm more on the fence then ever, I just can't put my finger on what it is about it I don't like that much, I thought this was going to be my favorite Daredevil thus far, but It's not clicking yet...I probably actually have to take it out of the package, But I still just can't get over being Picky about Daredevils, for some reason the Defenders 4 pack figure just did it for me and still for some reason does..yes it's outdated, I just think it had the best Colors, and for some reason the Bucky Cap buck just seems to me anyways to be very spot on for DD, something about the 3 pack figure was too small and this new one is a combination of too Small and annoyingly enough not comic accurate which is bugging me, I like it..but I just don't know if the big Black DD is something I actually like....I thought it was going to be the DD that dethroned in my Display the Defenders pack figure..but it certainly looks upon first looks, No... I'm not on board yet.
