I'm for the Cypher (glad they didn't do a Canonball head swap thing considering their height difference) and Boomerang. Those are musts for me.  Probably get Doc Sampson too. Everything else is a pass or at least something I'll wait for a decent sale.

Posted
  • Deadpool and Wolverine- No interest.
  • T-Bolts 2 pack 3 - No interest.
  • No Way Home offerings - Grudging interest in both, better colors on the Final Swing Suit and a classic Raimi Goblin, yeah I really wish I wasn't a sucker for these.
  • Boomerang - 100%, best reveal of the lot, disappointed it's another Walmart exclusive, but definitely getting this one.
  • Scorpion - This is such a major pass, it's not because of the classic look, it's because we're still getting this egregiously bad body for Scorpion.  I don't expect him to be hulk-sized, just bigger and better built than Spider-Man, and yet, here we are again with the third iteration of Scorpion that still can't top the old Toybiz one, and that old one had a goofy missile launcher tail....
  • Secret Wars Dr. Doom - No interest, didn't even bother with the 2 pack one, so, yeah, nope.
  • Doc Samson - Not really a reveal, but a definite pick up.
  • Cypher- Waiting on this one, just like Magik, it'd be nice to see how far they're going with this team before jumping all in like I did on the Walgreens ones that never got a full team out.
  • 97 Beast - Textureless Beast, another easy pass.
  • Teasers- If it's MJ and Spidey, should be an easy pick up for me.  Grudging interest just like the No Way Home stuff.

I hope he can crouch better than the original. But I am guessing he won't. Also imagine that we got stands for Goblin...but McFarlane can't give us flight stands lol. And sure they will give a stand to Goblin, but we can't get stands for Spidey. I also think that explosion effect is reused from the Black Widow deluxe, and was also in that gamerverse Punisher 2 pack.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's at least a little more articulated given he's got less stuff on him, but he's definitely got boot swivels now and ball jointed (?) shoulders. He's crouching a decent amount in the promo pics so I'm hopeful.

So what New Mutants team does this Cypher belong to? The recent Secret Wars Magik team?

Speaking of Secret Wars.. if I were still collecting select waves in packaging,  Id be all over that Dr Doom.. classic Secret Wars packaging, classic Secret Wars suit..  but alas, Hasbro has priced me put of double dipping long ago.

The MCU stuff is okay, feels like they've beaten Deapool a d Wolerine to death but I do admit its a kinda fun FU to have Cavill as Wolverine in Legends form.

The movie Spidey stuff feels mostly been there, done that.. a d the Tbolts set won't get me to bite at full price again.

The rest will likely be sales or no interest

I'd be interesting to see if they would do more concept art figures, cause some designs are really cool even if they don't make the cut.

Absolutely hilarious that they decided to make a brand new mold for Scorpion in 2019 and they have utterly refused to change anything about it since then. I'm still sticking with my original one but I would like to see a more Bagley styled Scorpion eventually, no nose, maybe slightly bigger?

Definitely want one bigger more imposing. Just maybe they will do the movie version justice. And he can be my stand in for that armored look.

The beast and green goblin just look so good. ML with a spectacular sculpt for that beast. And just seeing a rami goblin 24 yrs later, with so many of us over the years thinking that it may never happen makes me feel almost euphoric. Idk. Now all I need is a prime time Wesley Snipes blade.

Okay what was with Dwight's Cap? I can't think of what it was hinting at. He wouldn't go out of his way to change his cap and make comments about the World Cup and 250th birthday unless it was something. The only thing I can think of is they are making some sort of special Captain America for the birthday celebrations.

As much as I wanted brand new bigger and more articulated Scorpion that undersized body does make perfect sense for the classic Scorpion look.

I think MJ will be simple reuse of Enchantress torso with regulars arms and brand new skirt piece.

Movies Goblin looks pretty good but still have to see actual reviews.

I really really really hope new Beast has ball joint in the waist, if so then that figure might be contender for the figure of the year.

Thunderbolts* 2-pack - I figured we were likely to get The Void at some stage or other given how easy a repaint he is, but I am glad to see Val gets the nod for the second figure given the character's prominence. I'd still like to see Ghost and Taskmaster, but given they'd be new sculpts, I'm not holding my breath on either of them. Ghost might have a chance with a Doomsday-related release.

No Way Home Goblin is a sensible way to get a Raimi Gobby out there again without having to deal with the issues of relicensing the first Spider-Man movie, so I can see the sense in that, especially with the investment they put into the glider mold. It's a solid maybe from me - definitely if it were on sale.

Doc Samson - nothing new there but cool enough, even if I'm not a fan of that particular costume. Gotta do the classic version. I hope he doesn't get the same sort of pricing as the other Hulk figures in this subline...

Deadpool & Wolverine - these just look fun to me. Wolverinepool is a cool design and will add nicely to the nascent Deadpool Corps, concept X-Force DP will as well and the Cavillrine is just as hilarious a concept for a figure as it was in the film so I'm all on board for that. I'd be quite happy for them to keep this subline going to pump out the odd Deadpool or Wolverine variant for a while yet - there's plenty in the film that I'd still like on my shelf.

Classic Boomerang is great to get that version done - kinda surprised he didn't come on a retro card and the same for the comic Scorpion. Can't help but feel that these would have been the comic-based figures in an old style BaF wave to support Brand New Day only a couple of years ago and I would have been all in favor of that.

Classic Scorpion - passing on this is the only real difference between this and previously release is just an additional angry head.

Secret Wars Doom - definitely waiting for a review to see if there's anything new about the presentation beyond the shield and guns to make it worth getting when I've already got the Captain Marvel/Dr Doom 2-pack from a couple of years ago.

Beast - he's in keeping with the more animated style of the X-Men '97 line, so I won't complain about that. That line isn't a high priority for me so but it's definitely good to see him represented for those that are more invested in it.

Cypher - Didn't realize Doug wielded New Adventures He-Man's power sword at some point in the comics! Nice to see the classic team in their training suit looks getting more love, but I honestly would have liked the Krakoan era look over this, or some more Douglock swap out piece options. Will get, though - him and SW Magik plus X-Men '97 Sunspot are making a decent core '80's New Mutants team and Cannonball will add to that when he eventually comes out too.

NWH Spidey - Not planning on getting but that semi-unmasked head does look awfully good.

I don't like that face on Doug. The sword is a neat accessory though.

The half pulled off Spidey mask is pretty cool. I'd like to see that done more often.

Soooo, the sword is from "X of Swords" or whatever that Krakoan era event was right? So why does it come with the classic look Doug? Am I forgetting something? Actually the new look would be really nice, and we will need a Revelation figure as well here.

Glad to have another addition to the classic New Mutants. I would have loved a Warlock related accessory of some kind. Didn’t he peek his head over Doug’s shoulder sometimes when they were assimilated? Something like that would have been great.

I’m glad Cannonball will apparently have his own release. Hopefully they will make it a deluxe with legs and a blast effect. A bigger effect than the last one preferably.

I hope they finish the New Mutants quicker than usual. Still waiting on more Generation X.

Wow, bravo on Boomerang! And classier Scorpion looks rad too, even though they didn't give him pinless treatment😒. Those are the 2 onlys for me here. And guess it was only a matter of time before Doom showed up on the Secret Wars card because well that only makes 100% sense. Can't wait for Zemo's turn🤞. Also liked when Dwight mentioned Zzzax... you tell 'em, Dwight!

Well, with GI Joe and Transformers getting 250th anniversary figures, I wouldn't be surprised if marvel legends gets one

Trying to think of how they could reuse this smooth Beast body they've made. Maybe we can finally get Hanks "human" form. A few repaints and we could have his second X Men look and his X Factor suits. This may be one of, in my personal opinion, the most glaring omissions from the line. Also shocked we haven't gotten at least one repaint of that awesome Angel figure for one of his many different looks. C'mon guys!

he always does. He is probably the main pusher for all the obscure character we get. He just tied to what the marketing and people higher up tells him they should include.
