  1. Wow! Thanks for the heads up on the Walmart.com thing. I know some posters have called this "old news" but this is all new to me. So clearly I am going to need to start saving up money now.
  2. Hey guys, I'm just getting started on these boards and I’m not trying to spread around doom and gloom here but… In ToyFare #138, they presented an article about the upcoming (and out now) Marvel Universe 3 ¾” toy line. In the article, Senior Brand Manager for Marvel at Hasbro Jerry Jivoin said, “There are no current plans [for any build-a-figure waves] in 2009.” They mentioned the upcoming two-packs mentioning Winter Soldier, Darkhawk and Shang-Chi in “multiple figure offerings.” Man, say it ain’t so, Joe. First, I have no interest in the small figure line. At least the two-packs are offered on-line at Hasbro's and Wal-Mart's website. So availability might not be a problem. But if you read between the line, is this the death of the 6” Marvel Legends line? For me as a collector, jeez, this is the Masters of the Universe toy line all over again. I am hoping against hope but…
  3. Thanks for all the information guys. I do not understand why Wal-Mart would not just list these on their website and do site-to-store offers. I've put in email questions to both Hasbro and Wal-Mart but I am not confident on the response. I may have to resort to eBay. But I've got $20.00 that says two days after I make a purchase, they become available on-line...
  4. Habsro Needs to Do ARMOR WARS! I wish that the Marvel Legends lines had more of the theme to them. I would rather see a grouping of heroes and villains. For instance, I would love to see a line that harkens back to the Armor Wars featured in the Iron Man comic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armor_Wars We could get version of the classic Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Stingray, The Vault Guards, etc. I'd love to have a Stilt-Man. (I know, I cannot believe I typed that either!) And they need to do a Hulkbuster Iron Man sized version of the Mandroids. I know they would be more expensive but I would probably buy three of them since they can be multiple characters. The same would go for the Guardsmen. And the Build-A-Figure should be FIREPOWER. It seems like a no-brainer to me. (This is a great comic if you guys haven't read it.) I'd like to see a Thor-centric line where we get to see character like Balder, Valkyrie amd the other Norse Gods. If they are going to do the inhumans, put them all out in the same wave. Just my humble opinion...
  5. Possibly. Also possible they are making more to ship. The two walmarts near me were completely out of them after Christmas. Thanks for the help. I looked them up at BBTS but they are listed as a Preorder for the first quarter of 2009. Is it possible that the line just hasn't made it to the center of the country yet? I check darn near everytime I go to my Walmart and we never even had sections for them to sell. Anyone in Oklahoma had any luck finding them?
  6. This is for all the posters out there who might have more information than I do... I am located in NE Oklahoma and I have not seen hide nor hair of the Marvel Legends ARES series. I was lucky enough to snag the RED HULK series down at Target before Christmas. (I should also mention I had to purchase the FIN FANG FOOM HULK series on-line and did the Ronin/Elektra two pack buy using site-to-store at Walmart.com.) But I am seeing posts about the series being put on clearance sections and I have not even had an opportunity to buy (or even see!) the series. Why isn't this series available on line? Either through Hasbro or Wal-Mart, you would think that they would make some sort of appearance on-line, right? I mean without using the obvious overpriced eBay option. Is there anyone in my area that has seen the Ares series? Does anyone know if or when they might be made available on-line? Any help would be appreciated.
