  1. I'd say Storm's haircut is a good indication that the show may not do well. I'm hoping it was DeMayo's decision to give her a mohawk. That was a poor creative choice in trying to create nostalgia for a beloved animated series that most of America grew up watching.
  2. It looks......... not that good. Too many liberties taken with a classic costume.
  3. That's too bad about Storm's haircut. I really thought they'd fix that before any footage was shown. You'd think Disney would have the funds to correct a mistake like that, but, apparently not.
  4. That makes sense. I suppose while trying to spite Fox's rights to the X-Men movies by killing off characters, Marvel discovered the resulting comic sales spiked for a time.
  5. They won't be doing that any longer. The X-men movie characters are back with Marvel/Disney now instead of 20th Century Fox. Marvel will no longer have a need to kill off a character when an X-Men movie is released by an opposing movie studio.
  6. "The Deadpool 3 movie is coming out soon, time to launch a new Deadpool comic title" - Marvel execs.
  7. I was sure they'd start doing the Spider-Man series eventually too. I really like the look of the Mondo Marvel figures. It's just unfortunate that they're too big and expensive to collect.
  8. I miss the days when X-Men comics had simpler titles, such as: "X-Men" or "The Uncanny X-Men". These are almost as lengthy as the first BORAT movie title.
  9. Glad to see that they're doing a Psylocke bust from the animated series. I don't collect these, but I always wished that Psylocke would have been a bigger part of the series. She was a hugely popular part of the X-Men comics at the time, but only ever appeared prominently in one episode of the animated show, and then essentially as a background character in 2 or 3 other episodes late in the series. I would have loved to see her as a recurring character like Cable and Bishop were.
  10. That's odd.... Giant Man is photoshopped into this image. Why would they do that? This doesn't really provide an accurate size comparison. It also appears that the Star Wars ship in front of him is photoshopped into the image as well. Ah, I see now. On his instagram account, Steve is just trying to show what the display WILL look like when Giant Man does actually arrive.
  11. This seems odd that Rogue is labeled as being from the X-Men animated series, but Cyclops is from the '97 series. Does this mean that Mondo will be releasing figures from two different animated X-Men lines at the same time? There'll be a Cyclops '97 figure first, then, not long after, an X-Men the animated series Cyclops figure? Will there be 2 different versions of all the X-Men eventually, one from each animated series? This doesn't really seem to make sense.
  12. Another issue #1 for a character that's been around for nearly 60 years? This has got to stop. I can image the struggle a young new reader would face walking into a local comic store for the first time: NEW READER: "Hello, I'd like to buy a copy of Daredevil #1" COMIC STORE EMPLOYEE: "Sure kid. Do you want the 5th issue #1? Or maybe vol. 13 issue #1? Or issue #1 from 2 years ago, which was from the 25th series?" NEW READER: "Never mind, I just wanted to read the first issue, but comics are too confusing." (The new reader then leaves the comic book store and never returns.)
  13. Yeah, these look pretty nice, but that mohawk on Storm is awful. An extremely unappealing choice for the character that makes no sense for this series.
  14. Please tell me they're not giving storm a mohawk for this series. Ha ha ha ha HA ha hA ha! That was always her most ridiculous look. It'd be a shame if they were to try to make this a thing again.
  15. Seems like an odd question to ask. The Punisher is Frank Castle. That's been known for quite some time, he's never had a secret identity.
