but it seems cheaper to get them from Chinabay this time

I'll amend my earlier anti-Chinabay sentiments to state that con exclusives are a totally different beast. They are not dependent on sales the same way that the regular items are. Even the weaker exclusives sell out eventually. F5 day is a real pain.

This maybe a stupid question but what is chinabay? Is it that Taobabo site? How do you even buy stuff on there?
relatedly, i ended up buying Lockjaw loose off Ebay for just over $40 - if it was from one of you fine gentleman, thank you.

ChinaBay is just what some people call eBay sellers from China that's all.

Same here.  I bought everything in stores until Wal-Mart stopped carrying the line.  The nearest Target or any other retailer that now carries it is 40 minutes away from me.  It just became cheaper to pay the marked up price and save my time and gas money to drive around in hopes of finding them.

What Marvel cartoon are actually on right?
IS the new Aveners cartoon still going? I think Spiderman is still on.

Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-man, and Guardians of the Galaxy

Have a big 3-episode crossover. Spidey, the Avengers, and the Guardians all team-up to take on Foom for big Saturday morning extravaganza. Promote the living hell out of it. Foom will sell himself.

That would make kids want Foom.  What I hate in reading that is just knowing cartoons that I really liked and thought were for both kids and adults who like comics like Spectacular Spiderman, Wolverine and the X-Men and Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes all ended.  I'm just not feeling the new cartoons.  I really wanted to like Ultimate Spiderman and it did make me like the character White Tiger, but outside of that I just couldn't keep watching it.

I clicked expecting to see some customs.  The legends Foom can be had for an extremely high price.  I just don't think we will ever see him produced and I can't imagine what the price point on him would be.

If Hasbro ever finds a way to get the Masterpiece Foom out (please be green, not orange) I could see it going for around $50-60. Ideally they'd just reissue the BAF in a box with a pack-in figure for $30-40. They could get away with that if he came completely disassembled.

With the price jump to what $12-$14 for the new figures depending on where you live and that comes with lesser articulation, I truly can't imagine what they would charge for the fully articulated BAF Foom if they repackaged him.  I am by no means saying your estimation is incorrect, because obviously I have no idea.  I would just think it would be a ridiculously high price.  The new Millennium Falcon is nothing compared to the one released a hand full of years ago, but the price is still over $100.  I would hope you would be right about the price point and you are correct that selling it disassemble would be the way to go.

For all I know, Hasbro could try and charge $100 for it. But if he is completely disassembled, you could easily fit all of his pieces into a medium sized box much like the Star Wars vehicles. The Masterpiece line was $55ish because of the electronics. Hasbro has already recouped their costs on the Foom mold, so it should be all profit after the raw material costs. $40ish is possible.

I agree, but he might be a tough sell.  Maybe SDCC exclusive, but then the price would be outrageous.  I don't know.

I grabbed Vision and Scarlet Witch from the Avengers' line.  Not bad figures.  Got them both at retail so my feelings may be different if I paid the ridiculous online prices that were being asked for them at one time.

Scarlett Witch is actually pretty awesome considering she's only 5 poa. I was surprised we got her considering she almost counts as a civilian in that outfit.

True and recently she was on Amazon for like $3 shipped with prime.  Hopefully people that were on the fence got her for that price.  She is definitely worth the $6 retail price though.
