With 2019 winding down we thought we would look back at the year and highlight some of the best action figures released during it. We start things off looking back at the Kingpin Build-A-Figure that Hasbro released very early in the year for their 6" Marvel Legends line. What were some of your favorite figures released this year? Check out images for this figure below in our GALLERY. You can purchase the wave with this figure at BigBadToyStore.com.

It's tough to project desirable build-a-figures because it requires an entire wave's worth of figures I want and so far that has never, ever been the case. However, some larger scale characters I would love to get figures of include: Annihilus Blastaar Titanium Man Ulik the Troll (I know he was already released in the box set) Stilt-Man Orka

I'm so pissed about this figure, he's awesome, I NEED him for my Daredevil shelf, but I gotta pay second market prices because he's packed in probably the WEAKEST ML wave I've ever seen, seriously, I have no desire for any of those figures...

J.J. Jameson from Spider-Man far from home. I would also love movie Deadpool but if they going with that X-Men movie wave would be amazing.

I'll openly admit before I post my list that I'm very partial to comic figures and don't really like the MCU figures for the most part. Although I'd gladly buy a Quake figure form the original poster's list! Probably none of the others though. That being said, here would be my Top 10 MCU figures that I'd like to see over the next year: 1) Aunt May (Marisa Tomei as the sexy Aunt May) 2) Edwin Jarvis (Agent Carter / Endgame) 3) Betty Brant (SM Far From Home) 4) Foggy Nelson (Netflix Daredevil) 5) Volstagg (Thor movies) 6) Liz Allan (SM Homecoming) 7) Hogun (Thor movies) 😎 Fandral (Thor movies) 9) Ben Urich (Netflix Daredevil) 10) Wong (Dr. Strange) Clearly most of these are supporting characters and wouldn't sell much at mass market, but that's why I'd want them. They might be unlikely to be made in comic form.

What about Endgame Rocket?? That’s probably my favorite suit of his and so far Hot Toys is the only company that’s doing one. 10. MK 45 9. Endgame Captain Marvel 8. Ragnarok Doctor Strange 7. Quicksilver 6. Wong 5. Iron Fist (come on, Hasbro, just rerelease it already) 4. Kingpin 3. Infinity War War Machine 2. Endgame Rocket 1. Warrior Thor

I actually held out on collecting Legends because I thought the Toy Biz figures were over-articulated messes that often looked more like a collection of joints and hinges than characters. I think Hasbro's current lines perfectly embody having enough articulation to enable a huge variety of dynamic poses but not having so much that it takes away from the look of the figures, all at a reasonable pricepoint. I'd be disappointed to see them take a step backward unless they did it in a new and clever way that dealt with the original issues.

I get nothing materialistic for Christmas. I get hugs and high fives.

Yeah it will be very interesting to see how this wave does. On the one hand, there were plenty of people who missed some or all of the Walgreens FF so now there's chance to get those characters.. plus it seems like new people start collecting ML figures all the time. OTOH the FF are not the x-men or Spidey... combine that with the people who already have WG FF and will either skip the wave or wait for a price drop, and you could end up with a wave that pegwarms hard. Personally i lean towards this wave pegwarming but i would be happy to be proved wrong, as there are a ton of FF-adjacent characters i could see hasbro tackling in future waves. I do think it might've been wiser to split the quartet over two waves (Ben and Sue in one, Johnny and Reed in the other) but that might be more of a commitment than hasbro was willing to make for the FF. Or perhaps they could've gone with FF figures that fit in better with the classic ones already made (fully translucent Sue, powered down Johnny in classic FF costume (maybe with a Bagman head), Reed with alternate stretching parts, etc) Super-skrull is cool but i would find it hard to justify buying another set of FF at full price. I'm not sure he's on the level of Kingpin where people might buy figures they wouldn't otherwise just to build him.

Nice. Didn't even think to do that with the bomber jacket Carol. Nice.
