  1. So, while I love the Walgreens exclusive Magik, I wanted one in a larger scale with the costume worn by Dani, Wolfsbane and Kharma. This was actually quite a simple modification - Walgreens New Mutants Buck, Alternate Emma Frost head (with Magik's hair), Angela upper arm, Songbird forearm, Magik fist, Magik sword and effects. Little bit of paint and there ya go!

  2. Speaking of Photon (or is it Spectrum now?), I never understood why Marvel has an energy-form based hero and dresses her in a trench coat. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but I'm wondering if Hasbro ever does her first appearance figure, how will they handle the "cape wings" she wears. Best to go with soft goods, I would think, something similar to the recent Storm release. Thoughts?

  3. When I built my absorbing man instead of getting a Spider-Gwen for her crappy unpainted wrecking ball I just went on E-bay and bought a painted one. I think it was a Chinese knock off from Thunder Ball's accessory. It's painted perfectly to match the steel arm.

  5. Oh but you're NOT the sole Wonder Man first appearance fan on this forum, not by a long shot. Many of us are clamoring for this look. In fact, we need the og green and red, the safari jacket, and the ionic translucent figure. I'd put him on the recent Hercules buck and have a party, but at any rate he'd be snapped up in a heartbeat. Some would probably argue with you the difference between Classic and First Appearance (or og) but I think all 3 looks for him are the most popular.

  6. I don't really love the early Hasbro Blob BAF, and would prefer an entirely new take, but could probably live with a re-release if it came up for consideration. My collection definitely needs a Blob. I have all the BAFs I want from the current era of Legends, but do think Apocalypse and Sauron should be re-released to give most people another shot at them. They're solid figures of popular characters.

  7. Ya, that's what time travel story lines do to comics and their characters, and in all honesty, it's pretty emblematic of the kind of writing "talent" Marvel (and the entire comic industry) has employed over the last 20 years or so.

  8. Yeah the blow back of some new company getting the license will be felt the hardest by long time collectors. In many cases we are just a few figures away from defining lineups then to have to start over and have no other option but to buy Brand Xs new version of the same characters is deflating at best and a nightmare at worst. I was hopeful when I heard McFarlane was getting the DC license ( despite Mattel stepping up their game for the most part) but once the actual product came out it was a huge disappointment. Guess McFarlane would not conform to the 6" standard and so my DC collection ends with Mattels last offering. as others have mentioned, none of us are rich, and we collect what we can but the monetary investment ( I'm personally in well over thousands of dollars, between Legends and Universe) is to great to restart a Marvel collection again. They got me back once, as I had shifted to MU 3 3/4 figures when that was the only option. And I loved my Universe collection, but once they brought Legends back I had to decide if I was going to recommit to the six inch scale. I did and my old ToyBiz Legends are now " non-canon". I really don't think I can match my enthusiasm for my current collection to starting over again. It all seems too daunting so let's hope Hasbro hangs on to the Marvel license

  10. As discussed previously on this board. It is a terrible idea, getting a six piece BAF is hard enough with bad distribution and having to buy figures you may not want. Also if the second half doesn’t't come available for some reason and it has happened, then you have half a BAF. If people want larger figures then Hasbro should release Titan class TF style figures.
