It's the Marvelous November contest for a chance to win a $100 store credit to BigBadToyStore.com. The winner of the last contest was Forum member Lord_Scareglow. Here is what you have to do in order to be entered for a chance to win this round. 1. You have to be a registered member of the MarvelousNews Forums. 2. Any contributing post made ANYWHERE on THE FORUMS between today (11/05) and November 29 will get you entered into our drawing for the store credit. Every contributing post you make will get you an entry in the drawing, so the more you post the better your chances of winning are. Posts must be contributing to the topic or discussion. ONE WORD posts or posts deemed as SPAM will not be counted towards the drawing. A good rule of thumb is to post how you would normally post if there was no contest. As an ADDED BONUS, if you help us spread the word about this contest on your favorite social media platform or group and you comment in this thread that you did so, you will automatically receive 3 additional entries into the drawing which will help your chances to win. Helping spread the word about the contest helps grow this community which is in large part something that we feel will benefit all. Now since we have no real way of knowing if you actually help spread the word for this, we are going to have to go on the honor system with this part and take your word for it if you indicate you've done so. However please feel free to tag @MarvelousNews when you spread the word on such platforms as Twitter or Instagram . The drawing will be held on Monday, November 30 and the winner will be contacted by JayC via PM on the message boards that day. Once the winner has claimed their price we will also announce the winner on the forums as well. Our goal is to create the ultimate online Marvel collecting community and this contest is our way of saying thank you for checking us out and being part of that community. Good luck to everyone.

I was mostly super stoked about that Thanos, and I'm even more now, looks so good it's crazy, I'm still probably going to be cherry picking that Spider-Verse wave, because I just don't really dig the whole Animated figure thing, I love the movie and all but I don't have much desire for those figures on my shelf, maybe Prowler but only because I love Prowler and it looks great. The X-Men wave... I'm definitely going to get Jean and Omega, the rest are probably a pass inless the BAF is a must build, I do have to say it's so funny that the rumors for that X wave were correct yet, Jesse Falcon tried to trick us into thinking it wasn't Hahhaa of course it was going to be Cyclops and Wolverine... one thing I do have to say is despite really not wanting to put another Logan on my shelf this one does look really good, the new face sculpt is awesome. I currently am not extremely pumped about either Spider-Verse or X wave, except for Frogman, Hand Ninja, Jean and Omega Sentinel, Thanos is a yes, and I am so so excited about this Villains wave, it's my most anticipated wave in a long time, heres to hoping the rest of the figures are really fantastic, Scientist Supreme looks real nice.

reveals are always fun. that said, nothing here that is an instant must-have for me, although there are some i would probably pick up if i found them on sale/marked down.

MCU Justin Hammer would need extra articulation in the legs to accommodate Sam Rockwell's dance moves.

Definitely want Frogman and probably a hand ninja for DD and Elektra to fight. Not sure about the Spider-verse characters - i'm inclined to pass on them but will have to think about it more. the sad sack Parker figure is particularly tempting, would like to get a closer look at them i suppose. I don't really care about Stilt-man.

I don't get this complaint. This isn't a run-of-the-mill can-add-any-character-from-any-era wave. Maybe if they pulled this kind of character selection in a nondescript wave I could understand. But this wave is specifically based on Dawn of X, and you're indignant at the character selection consisting of this status quo's main player? No, Mr or Mrs ADour, that is NOT my complaint. I take it that you've seen the completed figures boxed, and that these all have 'Marvel Legends X-Men : Dawn of X' emblazoned upon them - as the Age of Apocalypse wave & Apocalypse deluxe did upon their respective packaging? Nor did I get the memo or see the Pulse stream that explained how these were anything other than 'an assortment based on the recent House of X story'. Based on. I would be (honestly) happy to be corrected on both points. Whether these characters appeared (or not) in a story arc I haven't read doesn't mean anything to me. Moreover, I understand every time Marvel does a reboot (every second week, subject to global pandemic) if a wave of Legends has its aetiology in a rebooted title, it will indeed be tired and predictable versions of characters we've seen again and again and again. If the comic was, um, House of Pym, we would see HOP Antman, HOP Iron Man, HOP Thor, HOP Captain America. Maybe HOP Stature if they can be bothered. This is not a new trend, and I honestly can't even remember the last time I read a comic. And, it's shocking, but I know not every figure in every wave pleases every collector. Who knew? But Hasbro have absolutely excelled with wave after wave of both comic-based and MCU- (or FXU) 'based' assortments for a good two years now. So much so, I've broken my 'don't buy MCU or Venom-based characters', because Hasbro keep knocking out really good versions of characters I don't care about or actively dislike. This wave is the opposite of that. These are really bad versions of characters I DO care about. Did, rather. But oddly, I think life will still go on: some I'll buy, some I'll skip. I lack the narcissism and ego-centrism of poor ex-President Trump, and I do have to acknowledge that these are my opinions: just what I think. No-one may agree with me on this, or any, point (or care what I think). Of course, every wave should contain only the 'core' or 'popular' characters'. Several people above say so. But, the X-Men are not just Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Professor X. There are characters from any of the current X-books that look great & look different: Captain Britain is one of 10 I could name and would have loved to have seen. A balance would, imo, be possible and preferable. And continues what Hasbro, in their opinion have been doing with other waves (dork & casual appeal). So, yeah, given that this will be a one-and-done wave, my 'complaint' is that if this sorry assortment represents the evolution and genesis of characters I've been reading about since I was 6, it's disappointing, because there is nothing new. And I (me, my opinion) compare that with the wave derived from the Age of Apocalypse stories. This 25-year old story arc generated figures that had never been done before by Hasbro (and badly or, not at all, by Toy Biz) - Wild Child, Jean Grey, Morph, X-Man, Sugar Man, Dark Beast) or versions of core characters that looked significantly different to any previous (or succeeding) versions of characters (Apocalypse, Weapon X, Sunfire). For me, that's a win. 6 cool new or good as new characters. 1 weird but cool BAF and the best Deluxe figure that Hasbro have done within Legends. New characters. New sculpts. Interest. But, I guess some people are happier seeing & buying the characters they've already seen & bought, because one is a slightly different shade of blue. And one is wearing the costume that she wore in the 1960s. And they are in a comic published in 2020. And for some people that's a big 'yay!' And that's cool too.

Good to know that the Falcon's on the way. This is a good figure, though I'm thinking he should be bigger than Bucky (Falcon and Cap had always been more or less the same height and weight) and his expression is a bit off, but I can live with it. Wonder why they didn't just go with the previous head sculpt used on Falcon Cap. Overall a good figure, and its nice that we get extra hands. Also I'm glad they didn't do any kind of wash on the white, and gave him gloves. In the animated series he didn't always have them and I just prefer them on. This is a good figure, and I was hoping we'd eventually see the "hard light" wingsuit with the ribbed panels (they can drop the goatee) but I'm thinking this is so close to that version, we probably won't get it. What we should get, though, is the classic outfit and hopefully, they'll give us Redwing too. Cant wait to get this in hand!!
