  1. During one of the interviews with Hasbro's Marvel team, Dwight hinted that he eventually wants to do a retro line based on the Ghost Rider line from Toybiz (for more info - https://www.figurerealm.com/actionfigure?action=seriesitemlist&id=90). People have started listing their wants for the wave on the Q+A thread in the news section but I thought we would all start listing them here. A couple of things to note though. DO NOT expect the bikes to come in this line. There wouldn't be enough room on the card back format for a bike. Plus it would drive the price of the figure through the roof. Second thing is, just because a character was in the old line doesn't mean it should be in this line and just cause a character wasn't in the line, doesn't mean it shouldn't be in this line. But I would say try and pick character that would have been around those time. They try and make the figure as if they were trying to make a line during those times. TLDR: no Robbie Reyes guys. sorry. With those out of the way start listing. My list Dan Ketch Ghost Rider - This one is obvious as most people grew up with this guy as their ghost rider Vengeance - cause he really needs a redo. Blackheart - Using the Venom Movie figure Orb - Easy repaint and obscure Jennifer Kale - solo female and the Ghost rider's cousin. Yes I pick a more modern version but Black Panther says hi Paradox Strange - probably the only way we would ever get this figure.

  3. What I usually do with MCU focussed waves is hate the reveal or preview images, buy the wave anyway (for the comic-based dudes) then end up liking the wave a lot more than I thought (Black Widow wave, though Red Guardian sucks before, during and after reveal and purchase). That said, Iron Man AI is bad and untimely: the definitive pegwarmer of this wave (why this thing, then another hologram Iron Man in the excellent & imminent Ursa BAF Wave to follow? Actually, you could do Stealth Hologram Iron Man. So exciting.) and Civil Warrior is...okayish. He really needs a bunch of accessories and swap heads to get over with me. Even the BAF is a bit too cartoonish. It looks like they've super-sized the Leprechaun on the Simpsons rather than taken the psycho mid-1980s Masters of Evil version. That dude nearly killed Hercules: this one would just make him chortle. So, yeah....Not loving this at all. Hope I'll be wrong, but this lot....? Its a big ask when the comic characters are just blah. And the BAF is blah-ha-ha.

  4. I hate hate hate HATE this. I can't begin to describe how much I hate this. This is SO unnecessary and SUCH a disservice to all the work the MCU has done to setting up its tone and logic. I would expect all this from a Dr. Strange movie because his whole thing is jumping around other realities, but dragging Spiderman into this is just so awkward and cheap. If they REALLY had to introduce the stupid Multiverse, they could at least cast other Peter Parkers we hadn't seen before to really add to the mystery of it, but instead they're dragging in previous actors for NO other reason than to have two seconds of recognition and excitement from the audience before the story nosedives into campy fantastical BS. I'd hoped that the way they handled Evan Peters in WandaVision (much to many people's disappointment but to my delight) would indicate how they'd actually handle something like this, but I'm afraid all these stupid fan posters I'm seeing with Maguire, Garfield, and Molina popping through Sling Ring portals is actually going to influence the creators into thinking this is worth doing. It's going to put a permanent stain on the way they've told their stories so far in the MCU and again, I hate it.

  5. I agree with you guys...The JJJ reveal in the end of Far from home was awesome already...I prefer Daredevil as the only addition to the new movie....I guess Sony really want's to take advantage of the success of the animated 'into the spiderverse'

  6. Yuck. Dumb idea. Didnt they already try planet asian hulk? Reheating leftovers again. The recent hickman x-men was ass also.

  7. Danny Ketch Ghost Rider, please. And make it part of the Riders series so we can get a decent bike this time.

  8. Yeah, I don't buy that for a second. Even if you were going to use a Google Image search, you would be able to see plenty of images and know which look and colours were correct.

  9. Not making a case, just saying they suck now and have for quite a while. If you don't agree with me, that just means . . . you're wrong.

  10. With Immortal Hulk ending, I think Ewing should be open for handling another title. And considering he proved himself with both Immortal Hulk and Empyre, I think making him the next Avengers writer is a no-brainer. But that's not to say Jim Zub wouldn't be a great choice. In my perfect world, Ewing, Zub and Waid (due to being the No Surrender / No Way Home team) would each handle an Avengers book, with all three titles sharing an underlying status-quo narrative not unlike the way X-books are currently being handled.

  11. There is still something about the MCU figures that just scream boring to me. I really hope I’m wrong and this and Eternals will surprise me as I honestly felt this same way about GOTG but now that is one of my favorite franchises. But GOTG at the very least had interesting designs. The main characters of This Shang Chi movie and Eternals all look like background character pack ins ala Luis and MJ. Like characters that are fun that they made but are not essential to any MCU collection.

  12. Yeah this wave is still super Meh to me (the movie isn't likely even to change that), no interest except for Death Dealer and Xialing, which I will get, I'm fairly sure this will be the only Death dealer we ever have in figure form so he will just be a comic stand in, and I like Xialing she has a good face and shes a new chick. so any one want to build steroid leprechaun, once I get dealer and xia those BAF pieces will be on the trading block.

  13. Nicer pictures but still hardly anything to move the meter for me. I'll give them props for doing a great job on the faces, but at the same time nothing here looks anything like Shang-Chi. Of course, Hasbro has to go with whatever the studio releases them at the time; maybe there is something in the movie that looks more like the Shang-Chi we know. I don't expect an exact likeness to the comic but like Eternals, this is near-unrecognizable. And Hyde still doesnt cut it. Iron Man would be nice, except I prefer at least some attempt at a metallic look; if this had been the first Iron Man they ever did I'd be all over it. That Death Dealer looks good though. Overall, a break for my wallet.

  15. Sadly, far from the first time Marvel has thrown out years of well-established characterization in favor of a poorly written story line, nor will it be the last. Just look what's going on in the X-Men titles.

  16. I'm not really feeling the art based on the cover, and from what I'm reading here it sounds like I'm glad I have plenty of byrne's run that I can collect.

  17. The talk of an Avengers wave that isn't MCU definitely got my attention as well as the possibility of a SHIELD agent army builder. I would be all over that.
