  1. Been there bro, they are quite quick to fall apart and actually really brittle. They look beautiful, to be sure, but they are 100% collector intended. There is no "playing" with these figures. I like em, I understand why people prefer them, but they are just a little too pricey and a little bit too delicate for my taste. As much as I love to #$## and complain about ML, they are about the right balance of form and function for me.

  2. Definitely no question that this is hella expensive just like sentinel still was but I just think it’s funny that collectors will go on to buy 6” figures for $30 to $100 (or more) but turn around and condemn this 32” monster for being 4 hundo. Apparently THAT’s too much money for a collector in this expensive hobby to save up and invest with. And you’d also have to be an ignoramus to not even think this would be a good investment. But anyway, my only real complaint here is the short time given to back this thing. And about Silver Surfer, all I ever really wanted was a Kirby inspired update, which I’m hoping will happen on a retro card one day. But until then, toybiz still has the better looking Surfer from the head and paint work alone (imo).

  3. Also, has it ever been said, directly or implied, that the stretch goal figures that came with the HasLab Sentinel and Galactus will only ever be exclusive to the pack? Is there any reason to believe the 6" Sentinels won't show up as Pulse army builders a year after the HasLab Sentinels ship?

  4. Think about the extra 6" figures who came with the Sentinel? They weren't beloved fan-favorite X-Men villains or even something clever like their creator Trask; it was just male and female Bastion sentinels on the most basic bucks with hardly any paint. Hasbro didn't do anything spectacular for those stretch goal figures, so expecting a complex original mold herald like Terrax or Air-Walker is not very realistic. Silver Surfer and Nova are the most uncomplicated, easy to mold, easy to paint, slap-together-at-the-last-moment figures, so these options should not surprise anyone. Hasbro isn't selling 32" Galactus on the strength of a 6" figure in the box. That's absurd. If you weren't willing to pay the $400 for Galactus and expect that might be all you get, this project was never going to be worth it to you.

  5. For all the SJW nonsense folks talk about with Marvel (which is not true ) I still see Marvel and other companies still depicting Egyptians (ancient Sais) as white and if you do look the true history of Egypt almost all early dynasty rulers were Indigenous Africans (Alkebulan) and were later colonized by Asians/Arabs and Greek/Romans.

  6. Vac metal will eventually start to chip away with wear & tear so unless you're just gonna pose your fig in the air like a statue & never again touch it, it makes zero sense to me to vac metal these figs. I'd rather they give em metallic like painst that make em look shiny but won't start chipping away after you handle & display them in action poses for a month. As for the Sentinels, no, that Sentinel that came with Wolverine is not a classic DOFP Sentinel, these are!

  7. Here we are I knew it had to be another Surfer, what's Galactus without ol Norrin Radd, I'm not surprised there is a Frankie Raye, I just hope that's it, I think I can cry only a little bit if I never get a Frankie.

  8. Let's see what they have in store for us this time. Hopefully something good as far as quality and quantity goes. They said July was gonna be a crazy month and so far I think it's been just ok.

  10. Venom gets a deluxe price tag and only has 1 extra head so they can kiss my heinie on that one. Zartan looks like the better deal. and I don’t know who this Captain guy is but he looks like a dork.

  11. I'm hoping we'll get a translucent Invisible Woman, a fully flamed on Human Torch, and wouldn't say no to Psycho Man or any of the Inhumans...

  12. Re-release that Venom with a normal paint scheme and I'll buy it right up. It'll be my Venom and I can yeet the deluxe Monster Venom into the trash. Or sell it or whatever.

  13. The Sentinel was completely different--it'd already met it's backer goal before they really showed anything other than the 'standard' add-ons. They even admitted that some needed to be improvised because it succeeded so well (read: the second tentacle...they never expected it to hit the numbers it did). I think they expected the excitement over Galactus to be at least as much as it was with the sentinel. They under-estimate just how iconic the Sentinel is by comparison. That and they gave us both a bigger price tag and larger initial backer requirement. Honestly, this should have come auto with a herald. But they didn't *need* to give us three faceplates (which are all awesome) and could have just as easily made those a tier so... Anyway, we'll see what they do in a week or so. We should be over the 10k mark by then, still on track to fund, but they'll want to see a boost in orders if they continue to wane. But hey, if they'd done the stupid Fantasticar, we'd be hovering at 2k right now so...

  14. I wouldn't say the problem is Galactus not being as iconic as Sentinel; he's just not an army builder. Plus the first stimulus rolled out during the Sentinel campaign so I imagine that helped boost those numbers even more. But even so, there has got to be a lot of collectors, such as myself, that are using these 40+ days to come up with the funds before backing this bad boy.
