  1. Nope, the clone saga was the brain child of Terry Kavanagh, which then got out of hand thanks to marketing and executive meddling. The origins of the Clone Saga have been well documented and none of them ever mention McFarlane. People seem to forget that while conversational, the Clone Saga was a financial hit for Marvel, that's why it kept going. Still I think we are going to be going off topic, lets keep the clone saga stuff for when marvel ruin Ben again with Chasm and focus on this lackluster idea of making Peter a Goblin again!

  2. This figure is such an enigma to me. A modern style Carnage packaged on a card with a picture of classic Carnage on it and then posed with animated Spider-Man in the promotional shots. Imo it should have either been a classic version of Carnage on that card or the modern figure on one of their new modern cards.

  4. I had very high hopes for that Taboo series....and quickly fizzled out due to exactly what you said: mechs and cyborgs. An incoherent mess that spent 0 time exploring the supernatural aspect of Werewolves, and instead wound up looking some very bad 80s cartoon series. But "hot garbage" is a better way of putting it.

  5. Well, good thing I AM a fan of X-Men and Batman. Oh, and the music from the 90's? GLORIOUS.

  6. When there's multiple titles, featuring the same headlining character, the story mill and inspiration well runs dry a lot faster. Had there been a single standalone title all this time , they'd still have decades of untrod stories waiting ahead.

  7. Hopefully with an Odin re-do, they'll show some other Asgardian love to Warriors Three and classic Beta Ray Bill..... Wow, well put....I echo what you're saying about them not tapping that deep well that they have. I'm still waiting for Red Wolf, some Golden Age characters (oooh, just hit me- with the new Angel wings, they can now do a decent Red Raven). In addition to doing the characters though I really want them done accurately.

  8. I would like to spend an afternoon at the park with those two. Not Wolverine and Deadpool, but Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. I just bet it would be a grand time.

  9. Just when I thought I was done with marvel legends, they somehow pull me back in. Love that Danny Ketch Ghost Rider and finally a classic IronFist, now I got to track down the classic PowerMan!

  13. Animated (with an alternate human-style head instead of just the green one) and Acts of Vengeance are my choice. Mandarin is one of those characters who, despite his deep publishing history, has mostly had a lot of bad luck when it comes to costumes IMO.

  14. Yeah the Trading card on is my pick as well. Hell all they have to do is give the Stryfe figure some new legs and it's done already.

  15. I always thought that Alpha Flight's Shaman was going to be problematic in action figure form, but ML went ahead and did his classic look...and nary a peep about doing so. Mandarin is in a similar light, and the yardstick for this needs only look to sculptures/statues already made......of which there are several. There's no outcry about those things, and toys have been made before. Pick a look and go, I'd say....the figure is long overdue.

  16. TRUTH! I cannot understand why there's so little emphasis on Captain America (I could add Thor & Daredevil to that as well) in the line. Not only does Cap have enough of a bench for his own waves, he's the perfect vehicle for peppering in Serpent Squad/Society figures; most of all, GOLDEN AGE figures (which really should have been done during the "80th Anniversary" theme). -Captain America (pinless, metallic sheen on the chain mail, metallic sheen on the shield) -Classic Falcon (70s) with Redwing (articulated wings) -Nomad ('70s) -Bucky (WWII) -Viper/Madame Hydra (use correct body this time, alt head/face with scar) -Moonstone (original guy, never been done) -Deadly Nightshade (70s era outfit) -Diamondback

  17. Agree, it can be done right and Mezco pretty much demonstrates this regularly. I'd say the hasbo team hasn't put in the effort to learn, even though they've been doing Legends for well over a decade now. I don't think most collectors are expecting or even want Mezco-level soft goods, but capes and long coats should be something hasbo could do, if they wanted. This lab coat would've been good for that. Throw in a pocket protector for extra points....

  18. True true, the costume doesn't match at all...guess I'm eating my hat! But I still think the face matches Randy's art:

  20. Honestly at this point I'd take anything, ideally Classic would be my first choice, but I fear that is the one they are struggling to put out, I'd take him in the look he had in the Animated IM show as well but I would be very cool with this one again. but next on the list, and one I think could be likely was that Samurai-esque look one I want the least is the suited look, that's so boring and uninspired, just not that one please, but I feel really certain it's gonna be that one first, since it's bland and neutral and lacks controversy.

  21. I still want to see a classic Rhino, Romita style face.....Man-Wolf still hasn't been done. A Spider-Slayer could make a good BAF. The Vulture could use a re-do, too.

  22. Hopefully they tell us about how we're getting the miniature versions of Giant-Man/Ant-Man and the Wasp that they seemed to have overlooked.

  23. Ok...obligatory list time, lol! Early Avengers. Black Panther with the mouth and chin showing mask, whole new figure Green Quicksilver, early look Scarlet Witch, Swordsman, Mantis, at least one more Wasp, and 12 inch Goliaths-Yellow and Blue, Red and Blue. Some villains for GM to fight too. Executioner, Melter, 1st app Ultron, Space Phantom ect ect ect.

  24. I hope its Giant Man related, because that could mean Avengers related... and more Avengers are always cool.

  25. I'd like to see some "un-themed" waves--or perhaps some more esoteric themed waves----Alpha Flight comes to mind. Marrina Box Nemesis The Master Aurora 2nd look Diamond Lil Caliber as the BAF Un-Themed: Jack of Hearts Comic Attuma Impossible Man Perez Beast Classic Ms Marvel Triton either Orca or Quasimodo as the BAF Other characters to salt assortments: Balder the Brave Wyatt Wingfoot Diablo Maximus the Mad Overmind The Wizard Talisman Sabra Le Peregrine
