MvC2 SERVBOT with cooking attack accessories!

    Jin Saotome
    By Jin Saotome,

Looks like you're going to be crouching a lot to attack because you're up against Marvel vs Capcom's SERVBOT! Otherwise known as 'Kobun' this diminutive little fellow is one of megaman Legends Tron Bonne's servants that whip up tasty meals and clean house. Here I've taken the one that came with the Capcom PvC Tron statue and replaced some of his leg/ankle joints, added magnetic accessories, and even scratch built his helicopter-head attachment! Servbot's knife, spatula, and pan all attach to his hands and you can plug him into a flight stand for his copter-drop attack. Check out his flaming frying pan curry attack! He's even to scale with your Marvel Legends standing only 2" tall.

For more of his tiny pictures head to his page here: MvC2 Servbot!

ZD Toys accessories on Marvel Legends Iron Man

    ADour
    By ADour,

For a long time I contemplated buying the ZD Toys Iron Man MK 85 figure from this specific AliExpress listing, since it includes two hand cannons and a hand with the Infinity Stones that I wanted to try using on the Marvel Legends MK 85. While there was no guarantee the accessories were going to go with the figure, it was only $25, and the figure they come with is a good set piece regardless. Anyhoo, here are the results.

The hand with the Infinity Stones is based on the same accessory from the Marvel Select MK 85. However, since ZD Toys' figures use a system that places the pegs on the forearms and the pegholes in the hands (which is the opposite of what Hasbro and Diamond Select do), it's retooled. Because of this, I had to use sticky tack to secure the accessory to the forearm of the Marvel Legends. The sticky tack can be hidden well, and it works well with the figure except for the slight color variation.

The hand cannons also require sticky tack to secure it to the figure, but it's not noticeable as long as you don't use too much. Personally, I think they work better on a MK 50 figure (the 2-pack version), both because of the figure's darker colors and because this specific weapon was only used with the MK 50, and I'm finnicky like that in terms of what nano-weapon was used with what suit. Also, the energy effect on the cannon is removable, and is exactly the same as Hasbro's lightning effect. Since the figure comes with two hand cannons, you can remove the piece from either of them and wrap it around Iron Man's arm if you have the hand with Infinity Stones on it. I currently have my MK 85 displayed like that.

The lightning refocuser is the toughest to make look right on the figure, and I also had to use a lot more sticky tack. It's not that big of a deal from certain angles, but from the side it's very noticeable. This is because the accessory comes with three long pegs to port into the figure it was made for. An obvious workaround would be to cut the pegs, but I've always been hesitant about tampering with figures and their accessories. Again, this is me just me drowning in a glass of water. If you don't care about altering figures and don't intend to use the refocuser on the ZD Toys figure, just break those pegs and it'll be no problem.

Tagging @memocromatico since I mentioned him I had this thing planned.

And in case anybody is curious, the unmasked Tony Stark head is a custom by Nota Studios (discontinued, unfrotunately), and the unibeam is a custom sticker I printed out.

X-Men Battle Diorama Series The Blob 1/10 Art Scale Statue From Iron Studios

    JayC
    By JayC,

Moving forward and ready to throw a heavy metallic plate symbol of the Xavier Institute, the bulky mutant known as Blob expresses all his satisfaction and fury with a malicious smile plastered on his face, on a base where step by step, his heavy footprints raise the stones of the ground around Mansion X. Thus Iron Studios proudly presents “Blob – Marvel Comics – BDS Art Scale 1/10 – Iron Studios”, with the gigantic villain adding more weight to the Marvel mutants diorama.

Fred J. Dukes from an early age gained body mass abnormally. Thanks to his mutant powers, he got a decent but humiliating job as a freak show, taking on the name of Blob. Approached by Magneto, he later founded the Brotherhood of Mutants and became one of the most constant villains in the Marvel Universe. Blob has an immensely fat body, which gives him super strength and invulnerability. When it sticks to the ground, no force is able to move it.

Blob arrives to add one more iconic character from the universe of Marvel mutant heroes and villains, who are part of the colossal battle diorama between the X-Men and their allies, against the giant Sentinel robots controlled by Magneto and his Mutant Brotherhood, but that they will also be able to compose different scenarios according to the wishes of each collector, creating different formations with their favorite characters, as well as representing each one very well in their Marvel collection. You can pre-order this from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.

Who Wants More 90's Avengers Marvel Legends Figures?

    JayC
    By JayC,

The 90's was a strange time for the Avengers as the X-Men and Spider-Man dominated the airwaves during much of that time with their cartoons on Fox. In the comics, the X-Titles as well as Spider-Man had all the hot artists on board like Jim Lee, Whilce Portacio, Eric Larsen and Todd McFarlane. Earth's Mightiest Heroes during that time seemed often to struggle to really find its footing in the Marvel Universe which in turn caused many iconic characters to go through some often drastic makeovers.

Trends were started in the pages of X-Men like wearing leather jackets and having letters that represented your team featured on your outfits that soon carried over to the Avengers.

Then, as the 90's began to come to a close, Marvel and the comic industry itself began experiencing extreme turmoil, and we ended up with things like Heroes Reborn.

Still that time period brought us many interesting looks and outfits for the Avengers. Which begs the question, should Hasbro do more Avengers action figures from that time period? After all, Hasbro did give us a very 90's Black Widow figure last year in her grey outfit with the "A" sleeved leather jacket.

    13__scaled_600.jpg

Other notable Avengers characters who sported the leather jacket look included Eternals member Sersi who at the time wore a red and black outfit.

    01__scaled_600.jpg

Then there was The Black Knight who ditched the cape for the jacket and also started using a Lightsaber-type laser sword instead of his traditional Ebony Blade weapon. With the Eternals movie featuring both characters coming next year, I could even see Hasbro giving us a 2-pack of these two with their 90's looks.

    03__scaled_600.jpg

The Olympian God Hercules also switched up his look in the 90's, often sporting shoulder pads (another look made to be cool in the 90s) and shirts with the letter A featured on it.

    05__scaled_600.jpg

Speaking of Gods, another character who experienced some pretty drastic changes in the 90's was Thor. For a while the mantle of Thor was handed off to a human named Eric Masterson who gave us a subtle update to the classic Thor look.

    02__scaled_600.jpg

Eventually Masterson ended up giving Mjölnir back to its original owner and assumed the identity of Thunderstrike giving his own twist on the leather look. I would love to see Hasbro do both the Masterson Thor and Thunderstrike for the Marvel Legends line.

    16__scaled_600.jpg

Thor himself probably experienced one of his most drastic makeovers in the late 90's although it was very short-lived. It had all the classic traits of the 90's including leather, big shoulder pads, and chains.

    06__scaled_600.jpg

Another Avengers member fairly new to the team at the time was the Inhumans character Crystal.

    04__scaled_600.jpg

Not to be outdone by Black Widow and Sersi, she too soon dumped the traditional plain yellow costume look after joining and started sporting a white and black costume with the added Avengers leather jacket.

    14__scaled_600.jpg

Hank Pym, officially returned to the Avengers during this time with his Giant Man persona, and ditched the traditional mask in favor of Cable-like communication headgear and cyclops-like belt pouches. The hair sticking out of the top of the mask was also a look that became very popular in the 90s, especially if you had blonde hair.

    07__scaled_600.jpg

Fortunately Steve Rogers was spared that particular look, but Clint Barton couldn't say the same with his new Hawkeye outfit.

    15__scaled_600.jpg

Speaking of blonde hair characters, Quasar is another character from the 90s that Hasbro should definitely consider giving a Marvel Legends figure. The character first appeared back in 1979, but it wasn't until Wendell Vaughn picked up the mantle in his own title that first debuted in 1989. That, I think, is when the character really picked up steam. Captain America ended up taking Vaughn under his wing and bringing him onboard the Avengers for a short time.

    10__scaled_600.jpg

The 90's also saw Wanda Maximoff go through some pretty major changes as she separated from her android husband Vision, found out her children were not real, and was manipulated by the likes of both Kang and Magneto. During this time, Scarlet Witch sported a number of different looks but this one was probably my favorite. Of course, all eventually lead us to "No More Mutants".

    08__scaled_600.jpg

Not to be outdone by costume changes, Scarlet Witch's brother Quicksilver ditched his long standing blue outfit for a new one. In keeping with the look of his now separated wife Crystal's white and black look, Pietro began wearing a dark black and white outfit.

    09__scaled_600.jpg

Since we know how much Hasbro loves Iron Man, we should note that this time period is when Tony started wearing this very popular armor design featured in the 90's Iron Man animated series as well as done in figure form by Toy Biz. We have to imagine Hasbro will get around to doing it at some point.

    12__scaled_600.jpg

By the end of the 90's, almost all the Avengers had gotten costume make-overs. Some better than others, but we feel there is a lot of potential here for Hasbro to explore with new action figures.

    11__scaled_600.jpg

After all, Hasbro has been giving us the 90's versions of the X-Men. It only seems fair the Avengers get the same treatment, right???

The First Marvel Legends Eternals Movie Figure Revealed?!? SPOILERS

    JayC
    By JayC,

We possibly might have our first look at a Marvel Legends Eternals figure from Hasbro, which appears to have leaked out on the net. The figure seems to be that of Ajak who has been said to be played by actress Salma Hayek in the upcoming Eternals movie. We got out first look at the outfit the figure is wearing in August 2019 during the D23 convention.

    Eternals__scaled_600.jpg

Hasbro's Eternals wave of Marvel Legends figures where originally planned to be released at the end of this year, but then the movie got delayed until at least February 12, 2021 which in turn delayed the release of the figures. We can't confirm the image is of a legit figure from Hasbro, but based on the packaging it seems pretty real, and being the figures would have originally started seeing release around this time, it would make sense that there are some likely floating around out there to leak out like this from overseas.

If you want to see the image of the figure you can go HERE or the original source HERE. Assuming this is real, then my guess once Disney gets wind of the leak the images won't be staying up very long.

Is there a part of you that can understand where I was coming from, other editors have been plagiarizing my character histories, and then you come in and switch out the photos that I took the time out of my busy schedule to contribute to this database. The examples that you provided didn't help because the person asked you to help him with those because he couldn't speak English so it was hard for him. You made me feel that the work I do was for nothing because my pics weren't good enough but with further analysis you didn't make that much of a change to them. And I thought when something like that happens, an editor should write in the explanation box on why they made the changes. If you did that I know for sure things would not have escalated like it did. I apologize for my language, and for the Iron Man thing but I get very passionate about my work. It's up to you if you want to undo the ban, but if not then the rest of the years I have been on here it's been an honor working with you.
