Deadline is reporting that sources from within are stating that Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin will write Deadpool 3, with Ryan Reynolds set to reprise his role as the wise-cracking Marvel superhero. Over the past month, numerous writers meetings took place with Reynolds to listen to their pitches for the next installment. In the end, the studio and Reynolds saw the sisters’ take as the perfect fit for what they wanted. This will be the first Deadpool movie where Marvel Studios are working with Reynolds and Team Deadpool. Sources say the film will be rated R with Reynolds return, but past characters are still unknown about their return and a new director will be taking over as David Leitch, who helmed the second pic, has a schedule filled through 2021.
  2. Variety is reporting that Chris Pratt will be making an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's fourth 'Thor' film as the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' character Star-Lord. The fourth Thor movie includes Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and Christian Bale. The plot details have been kept tightly under wraps, but Thor was last seen aboard Star-Lord’s spaceship in the closing scenes of 'Avengers: Endgame.' Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and Taika Waititi co-wrote the script that Waititi will be directing. The fourth Thor film is set to begin production in Australia in January 2021 with a February 2022 release.
  3. Deadline is reporting that Clash helmer Mohamed Diab will be directing Moon Knight, the Marvel series for Disney+ based on the comic book hero. Diab’s film Eshtebak (Clash) was an official selection at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, in the Un Certain Regard category.
  4. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'On My Block' actor Danny Ramirez will be suiting up for the Marvel series The Falcon & the Winter Soldier. Ramirez will be joining returning Marvel actors Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp, as well as universe newcomer Wyatt Russell. It's being kept under wraps who Ramirez will play but sources say it will be a pivotal role. The Falcon & the Winter Soldier will be the first Marvel-produced series for Disney+, but production was shutdown due to the pandemic in March, with several weeks of filming left. The series is now expected to stream in August.
  5. Deadline is reporting that The Baby-Sitters Club's Xochitl Gomez has joined the cast of Marvel's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The second installment has Benedict Cumberbatch returning to reprise the title role with Sam Raimi taking over directing duties. Expected to return to reprise their roles from the original film are Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor as fellow sorcerer Wong and Strange’s compatriot-turned-nemesis Karl Mordo. Elizabeth Olsen has been tapped to reprise her role as Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda Maximoff, for a storyline that Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has said will link up with her Disney Plus series WandaVision that debuts in December. Marvel had no comment and the storyline and Gomez's character are unknown at this time.

  7. Deadline is reporting that newcomer Imon Vellani has been picked to star in Ms. Marvel, the Disney+ series based on the comic-book character. Marvel and Disney Plus recently named Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon as directors on the project. The character of Ms. Marvel comes from writer Bisha K. Ali and centers on Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teen based in New Jersey. Ms. Marvel first appeared in 2014 as Marvel’s first Muslim character to star in her own title, and she will become Marvel Studios’ first onscreen Muslim hero. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has said that in addition to appearing on the small screen, Kamala Khan will be included in future Marvel films.
  8. Variety has learned that Samuel L. Jackson will reprise the role of Nick Fury in a new Marvel series currently in development at Disney Plus. The exact plot details are being kept under wraps but sources are saying that Jackson is attached to star with Kyle Bradstreet attached to write and executive produce. Marvel Studios will produce. Jackson has portrayed Fury, the monocular head of the clandestine government agency S.H.I.E.L.D, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going back to the first “Iron Man” film in 2008. He has appeared in multiple films, most recently in “Spider-Man: Far from Home,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Captain Marvel.” He also played the character in two episodes of the ABC series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Bradstreet is credited with being a writer and executive producer on USA Network series “Mr. Robot.” His other credits include “Borgia,” “Berlin Station,” and “Copper.”

  11. Disney+ and Marvel have tapped Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoym and Meera Menon to be part of the directing team for the Ms. Marvel series. Ms. Marvel hails from head writer Bisha K. Ali and centers on Kamala Khan, a Pakistani American teen. The New Jersey-based hero broke ground in 2014 as Marvel's first Muslim character to star in her own title, and she will become Marvel Studios' first onscreen Muslim hero. Directors El Arbi and Fallah are credited for bringing the Bad Boys franchise back with a third release in January 2020. The Will Smith and Martin Lawrence starrer earned $425.6 million globally. The directors are attached to Netflix's Beverly Hills Cop 4, to star Eddie Murphy, as well as the Muslim family drama Rebel. Obaid-Chinoy is a 2015 Academy award winner for the documentary, A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness, exploring the aftermath of an attempted honor killing in Pakistan, and 2012's Saving Face, which looked at acid attacks on women in Pakistan and made her the first Pakistan-born filmmaker to win an Academy Award. She has also won Emmys for both projects and has collected a total of six in her career, winning in 2014 for Pakistan's Taliban Generation and in 2010 for work on PBS' Frontline/World.   12. Deadline is reporting that director Kat Coiro is in negotiations to direct and executive produce the pilot and several other episodes of Marvel’s She-Hulk series for Disney+. Writer Jessica Gao has already been tapped to lead the writers room. Gao is credited with the Rick and Morty series. The last major character to be co-created by Stan Lee, She-Hulk is Jennifer Walters, an attorney and cousin of Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk. An emergency blood transfusion from her cousin gave Walters her powers, but unlike Banner/Hulk, She-Hulk was able to keep her intelligence and personality when she Hulked out. Marvel's She-Hulk is just one of projects being developed for Disney+, with The Falcon and Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki all in production and set to bow in the next year. Coiro is credited with directing numerous TV shows including Netflix’s Dead To Me, Showtime’s Shameless and FX’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, along with Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Mozart in the Jungle.
  13. Deadline has learned that Sony Pictures and director J.C. Chandor (Margin Call, A Most Violent Year, Netflix’s Triple Frontier) are in talks for Kraven the Hunter, the latest film in the studio’s Universe of Marvel Characters. Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad are producing with Matt Holloway writing the script. This news comes a day after Deadline reported about Olivia Wilde directing an untitled Marvel movie for Sony centered around the Spider-Woman character. Sony studio is expanding its catalog as they have recently set S.J. Clarkson to direct its untitled Madame Web film and the next installment in the Spider-Man franchise also begins shooting this winter. Venom 2 and Jared Leto’s Morbius are in production but have been postponed until 2021. The comic revolves around Sergei Kravinoff aka Kraven the Hunter, who is one of Spider-Man’s best known and most formidable enemies as well as the half-brother of the Chameleon. The character has appeared in numerous Spider-Man properties including the popular story Kraven’s Last Hunt.

Deadline has confirmed that Sony Pictures has closed a deal with actress and director Olivia Wilde to direct and develop a secret Marvel film project revolving around a female character in the universe. Sony has no comment but it is expected that the story will be centered on Spider-Woman. No word on which direction will take Spider-Woman as the character has been the alter ego of several characters including Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson and Jessica Drew. The script is being penned by Katie Silberman with Amy Pascal producing and Rachel O’Connor executive producing.
