  2. Josh Segarra is the latest member to join the cast of Marvel’s She-Hulk series starring Tatiana Maslany in the title role. The Arrow alum joins a cast that includes Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ginger Gonzaga, and Mark Ruffalo, who will be reprising his role as Bruce Banner aka the Hulk. No details as to which character Segarra will be playing. She-Hulk is a legal comedy that centers on the eponymous heroine (Maslany), aka Jennifer Walters, an attorney who has similar powers to her cousin, Banner/The Hulk. The She-Hulk series is directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, with Jessica Gao serving as head writer. Segarra's credits include Arrow, Orange Is the New Black, and Sirens. Source: Deadline

Variety is reporting that Michaela Coel is one of the first to join the cast of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” the sequel to the hit Marvel film “Black Panther.” Character details are being kept secret but sources within say Coel has joined director Ryan Coogler at Atlanta's Pinewood Studios, where production began last month. Coel exploded onto Hollywood’s radar in 2020 with her critically acclaimed HBO Max series “I May Destroy You,” for which she’s received four Emmy nominations. In addition to writing, directing, and producing, Coel starred in the show as a popular writer processing rape trauma in contemporary London. The additional cast has not been confirmed, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, and Angela Bassett will likely reprise their roles from the original film. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is set for wide release on July 8th, 2022.

  5. @Gigantor@cbwilkLet's keep it clean and everyone has their own opinion. As to what Gigantor mentioned, he isn't that off. Deadline mentioned that Marvel has hired a more diversity of colored directors and it shows in the films.
  6. Deadline is reporting from sources within that Marvel has selected Bassam Tariq to direct the new Blade movie with Mahershala Ali set to play the iconic vampire hunter. Marvel had no comment at this time and sources have confided that the deal is not yet done. Stacy Osei-Kuffour is on board to pen the script with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige producing. Blade was created as a supporting character by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan, and appeared in Tomb of Dracula No. 10 in 1973. He is a human-vampire hybrid thanks to his mother being bitten and killed by a blood-sucker during childbirth. The character became a star in the ’90s when New Line adapted the comic with Wesley Snipes on board to star, with two sequels following the hit movie. Bassam Tariq is credited for directing the Riz Ahmed film Mogul Mowgli.
  7. Disney’s Marvel Studios films and MCU Series won't be making an appearance at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, according to the latest report by Deadline. No information has been released if Sony's Marvel titles will be attending the event as well. This will be the third year that Warner Bros. will skip Comic-Con but Warner Bros. Television will have DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and the DC Publishing division will be participating at this year's San Diego Comic-Con@Home. Warner Bros. will have their DC Fandome again this September for the second year in a row. The live edition of San Diego Comic-Con will be November 26th-28th and the San Diego Comic-Con@Home runs July 23rd-25th.

Variety is reporting that they have confirmed with sources that the 'She-Hulk' series at Disney Plus has cast Jameela Jamil in the role of Titania, a Marvel supervillain with incredible strength and a frequent rival of She-Hulk. The series centers on lawyer Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), cousin of Bruce Banner, who inherits his Hulk powers after she receives a blood transfusion from him. Unlike Bruce, however, when she hulks out Jennifer is able to retain most of her personality, intelligence, and emotional control. Jamil joins Maslany and previously announced cast members Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ginger Gonzaga, and Tim Roth. Mark Ruffalo will also reprise the role of Bruce Banner in the series. The pilot and additional episodes are being directed and executive produced by Kat Coiro. Jessica Gao is head writer for the series and serves as executive producer.
  10. According to Deadline, Christopher McDonald is joining Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in Secret Invasion, the upcoming Marvel series for Disney+. Sources state that details about McDonalds role is being kept quiet but they know it's a newly created character that could cross over to the larger MCU, including appearing in movies and other Disney+ limited series. In Secret Invasion, Jackson and Mendelsohn reprise their MCU characters Nick Fury and the Skrull Talos, respectively, who first met in Captain Marvel. The crossover comic event series showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years. The cast of Secret Invasion is expected to also include Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Killian Scott.
  11. Deadline is reporting that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast as lead role in Sony's Marvel film Kraven the Hunter. Kraven is one of Marvel’s most iconic and notorious antiheros, who has encountered Venom and Black Panther, among many others, as well as being one of Spider-Man’s best known and most formidable enemies. J.C. Chandor would direct the film from a screenplay written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing. The film is set to premiere on January 13th, 2023.
