Genneya Walton has been chosen to join the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again. While the specifics of her character have not been disclosed, it is known that she will portray a young journalist who has ties to a character from the original series, potentially Ben Urich's daughter. Daredevil: Born Again will continue the story of Matt Murdock, played by the returning Charlie Cox, a blind lawyer turned crime-fighting superhero. The series will also see Vincent D'Onofrio reprise his role as the notorious mob boss Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal returning as the relentless Punisher. Joining the ensemble cast of Daredevil: Born Again are Margarita Levieva, Arty Froushan, Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, and Nikki M. James. A tragic incident occurred today at Radford Studios in Studio City, resulting in the death of a rigger. According to Deadline, the male crew member fell from a catwalk while working on the set of Marvel Studios' Wonder Man. Filming for the series was not taking place at the time of the accident. The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed the man's death but has not yet released his name to the public. A spokesperson from Marvel expressed their condolences and stated, "Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident." Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, revolves around the character Simons Williams, who in the comics is a descendant of a wealthy industrialist. After his company loses to Tony Stark's Stark Industries, Williams joins forces with the villain Baron Zemo, who grants him extraordinary strength through ionic talents. Although initially an adversary of the Avengers, Wonder Man eventually becomes a valuable ally to the team.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 was honored as the best superhero film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse claimed the title of the best animated film, and Marvel's Werewolf by Night was recognized as the best television presentation. The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror presented its annual awards on Sunday at the L.A. Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel, with Joel McHale serving as the host. Geraldine Viswanathan has been confirmed to join Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts, according to Deadline. She will be replacing Ayo Edebiri, who had to depart from the project due to scheduling conflicts caused by the delays in production caused by the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes last year. This announcement comes after Lewis Pullman was recently added to the film, stepping in for Steven Yeun who also had to leave due to similar scheduling issues as Edebiri. Viswanathan will be joining an ensemble that was originally announced during Disney's D23 event last year. The ensemble includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.

Lewis Pullman, known for his role as Lt. Robert "Bob" Floyd in Top Gun: Maverick, has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Steven Yeun in Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts, according to sources confirmed by Deadline. If the deal is finalized, Pullman will join the esteemed ensemble cast, which includes Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, and Wyatt Russell, as previously announced during D23 in 2022. The upcoming Marvel tentpole will be helmed by director Jake Schreier, while the script will be penned by Eric Pearson, the talented writer behind Black Widow. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will be producing the film. Although details about the plot remain scarce, the source material revolves around a group of villains who undertake government-sanctioned missions. Thunderbolts is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2025.

Quantumania, the latest installment in the Ant-Man and the Wasp franchise, has received unfavorable recognition at the 2023 Golden Raspberry Awards. The esteemed nominating committee has deemed it one of the worst movies of the year, making it a significant milestone for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Razzies nominations were announced on Monday, and Quantumania has garnered four nominations, including Worst Director and Worst Supporting Actor for Michael Douglas and Bill Murray. The movie also got a nod for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off, or Sequel. It's a first for Marvel Studios to be nominated for such an award.
