  1. Yea, you're right. The elbows and knees are the single joint articulation. The joints in the feet made me realize I was wrong. I guess I was hoping to see more detail in these in the main line. Somewhere along the lines of the Fury coming out would have been nice. I just wanted to make sure we were talking about the same figures. You never know w/ Ebay sometimes. Plus, I know you're a MOCer like me & wanted to make sure you didn't reject them to early...
  2. Thanks! You know, that Chitauri looks a lot like the Family Dollar figures we've been seeing (not the repaints, the cheap crappy ones). I wouldn't be surprised if that soldier isn't the one from Wave 4, but the one that's packaged with a Chitauri glider instead. Makes more sense for that AWFUL articulation to be on a vehicle driver... The ones pictured clearly have the Movie style movement/articulation in elbows and knees, unlike the DS vehicle repacks they're currently offering. Good enough for me. Weapons not necessary as I have that covered. Just need some backup for Loki, as he's outnumbered...
  3. The ones I've dealt w/ are more reliable then some folks on these forums, truth be told...
  4. The camo Lizard sounds pretty cool to me too. Any chance for a pic of it in package?
  5. I'd buy a Hawkeye from you if no one offers a trade for him...
  6. Anyone still needing some? I have an extra Hulk, Loki, & Hawkeye MIP available. Can ship loose if preferred. Only asking cost plus shipping. PM if interested...
  7. So...You'll be returning the set you opened? After that long rant, the short answer is yes. The set is only sealed with a piece of tape, so I just put everything back in and re-applied the tape. Do you still have it? I'd buy it from you & have them shipped loose if so. Or we could work out a trade. I really only need Hawkeye, am curious about Hulk, and would either resell or trade the other two as i have them already. PM if interested...
  8. I bought the whole first wave, plus the Gold Iron Man Variant, at a TRU that was next door to the Best Buy I worked at during that time. I was blown away at how sweet they looked, even Toad. Had no idea how special that Variant was & what it would lead to. I was into the Spidey figs that came out just before them as well, like others...
  9. Any chance you could take a pic of this Spidey fig. I'm intrigued...
  10. Have a Hulk for you. Need those Wave 3 Avengers figs. Wanna try and work something out, PM me...
  11. My buddy sold one for $71. Not quite $75 but pretty close...
  12. I too saw the blue CC at WM but picked up the black version at Target. He was to neat to pass up... As for superhero stuff, picked up ML Showdown versions of Spidey & Venom plus a loose MU soldier at a LCS for $8. Saw the new Avengers 4 packs & 6 inch figures at a WM & stashed them all until payday...
  13. I think it's rather funny, and definitely ironic, that part of your justification is to keep them "from the clutches of the local flea market douches". So, you're just flipping, but they're douches for trying to resell stuff? lmao. Honestly, I'm not big on those guys either, but I've seen much more reasonable prices at flea markets than I have on Ebay, Amazon, or any other online source. How exactly are you better than them? Oh, and thank you so much for your service to mankind in keeping flea market people from getting toys. If only everyone were as civic minded as you are. okay, perhaps I should apologize for the over-the-top sarcasm. I'm not trying to tick anyone off; but that was seriously ironic. Scalpers saving us from flea market vendors. kind of an oxymoron isn't it? like "hi, I'm with the government and I'm here to help." Actually, your sarcasm is more second-rate than over-the-top. Don't over-value your wit just yet. I'm a collector first and foremost. About 98% of what I buy goes there initially, with another 1% going to helping other forum chums. The remaining 1% goes to Ebay after I tire of it or others don't want/need it. So that's why I place myself above the scalper who collects Hot Wheels or other non-action figure things but decides to buy the HTFs for pure profitability. It's a grey area nonetheless and I have no problem working within those perameters. The vendors around here try and create the market by inflating their prices for no other reason than greed. At least w/ auctions, more people have a chance & can set their own limits. A lot of the vendors have had some of these figures for so long they've accrued more dust than interest. And yes, they are douches more for their personalities & unsanitary personage then their toy purchasing practices. They're cretins; unbathed, jobless, chain-smoking dirtballs. Come visit me & I'll show you just what I mean. You can park that high-horse of yours next to my four cars, as I collect and flip them too...
  14. Some people "flip" houses, I flip figures. That way I know they end up in collector's hands because are they are usually the only ones insane enough to bid that high on some stuff. And more importantly it keeps them free from the clutches of the local flea market douches. I typically buy one to open, one to keep MIP, just in case...
  15. no, the reason they are so cheap is because he steals them from the factory. Is pulling them out of the dumpster REALLY stealing? why do you think they are pulled out of a dumpster? has anyone ever heard a seller claim that he got these from the dumpster? and even if they are pulled from a dumpster, I am sure that Hasbro intended for them to be destroyed, not sold on ebay to hurt their business. I don't love Hasbro, but this kind of thing trickles down to us having to pay higher prices or missing out on figures down the road, or whatever. There isn't any way that its GOOD for the industry It's good for my wallet. I've bought plenty of figures from Chinese sellers on Ebay. Some of them don't even have a flaw that I can see and I pay like 7 bucks for a 20 dollars figure and free shipping too. Some of them are painted better then ones I see in the store. I don't think it's hurting Hasbro too much but I don't care because these are figures I can't find and I don't want to pay Scalper prices from Ebay. The last thing I have on my mind when I'm buying one of these figures is, is this hurting Hasbro? Seconded...
  16. Why are they different? Where'd the other one come from?
  17. Got an IM if anyone wants it. Otherwise, back to the store he'll go...
  18. Got a link or auction number so that I/we can see for ourselves in case she comes up again. Thanks...
  19. Keep your expectations low when dealing w/ retailers & you'll rarely be disappointed...
