what legends do YOU want to see?
annihilator replied to GenisVell's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
If it is a fresh start, then I'm open to a 5" line. The 3.75" line is just too small, and sculpts are not as great as envisioned. And the Legends line is just crammed with reuse of the same body type over and over. -
Marvel Legends 2 packs Finally Hit !
annihilator replied to SolidSnakeInMyPants's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
It's all relative, a 2005 action figure compared to a 2010 design? Back then ML 6" Action figures were groundbreaking and no yardstick to compare with. It is no surprise that a 5 year old design will be improved on. ToyBiz would have also gotten better if they still existed. A better comparison between the two companies would be the product ToyBiz produced before they folded. Name a figure that would be on par with say PITT in terms of sculpt, articulation, paint applications and you would know what I mean. I mean when they make 'em, they look like they just jumped out of a comic book. -

they have a Juggernaut that fits your standards...the Marvel Select one. it's a beauty That one would be as huge as the Marvel Select Hulk/Red Hulk which would be too big IMO. He should be Legend sized like the HulkBuster or WWHulk. I don't go MS since they are 7" inch scale. -

I would like to see a new Dragon Man that is in the 10" - 11" range. Also a Strong Guy (Guido) about 8" tall with arms as thick as Warpath's. For army builders, they should make the Hellfire goons and also more Skrulls reminiscent of the MU figure, not a rehash of the ToyBiz mold. Better yet make a retool of the Warpath/Hulkling sculpt and make it a War Skrull. Also, it is time for a new Juggernaut figure that will be big enough to replace the old ToyBiz Series 6. That one had uberlong arms and needs to have an update. The MU Juggernaut sculpt would be great start to base it on, I think is the best Juggernaut I've seen in a while. -
Anyone seen this figure?
annihilator replied to thor333us's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
It is no longer worth what he is asking for. In fact the Annihilus BAF is a better figure IMO. -
These sculpts are even shorter than Tarantula !!??! What gives???

No 6" Figures for Iron Man 2?
annihilator replied to nightcraw's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
They are selling some unreleased protos of Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man on EBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-IRON-MAN-PROTOTYP...%3D10%26ps%3D63 http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-IRON-MAN-PROTOTYP...=item335871da11 -
Marvel Legends Series 13 Green Goblin beats this by a mile. From the color choice and lack of paint apps, this one looks inferior. The proportions (head size) are odd as if on the animated cartoon. And the articulation is a step back into the 5" era.

How about dying with some dignity ?
annihilator replied to corto's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I say do a relaunch of the 6 inch line and call it Marvel Ultimate Alliance and since they have redone the characters in a different updated scale (i.e. Daredevil , Iron Man, Johnny Storm) do the line over. That way, we get fresh new characters as well as upgraded ones too. A lot of the older figures (Series 1 thru 5) look dated anyways. -
Start the 6" line anew. Reboot the line and call it Marvel Ultimate Alliance or Legends II. The newer sculpts are more slender and I like Cap, Thor, X-Men, Deadpool done in this updated fashion. Rework the sculpts of the flagship characters like they did for Daredevil , Johnny Storm , Classic Iron Man, Dr. Doom and proceed from there.

More Marvel Legends Ideas
annihilator replied to spidey1967's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I am in favor of a "relaunch" under a different label like Marvel Ultimate Alliance. And reissue newer sculpts of the main flagship characters, (like the way they did Daredevil, Johnny Storm, Vision and Classic Iron Man). This will breathe new life into the line and bring in the gamer community. Besides the newer sculpts' scale that have been done recently is totally kind of different anyways and more streamlined and leaner. I wouldn't mind a new Cyclops, Classic Cap, resculpted classic Thor, etc. -
They'll have another one when NYCC comes up soon.

I'd pay no more than what the current market price is.

I agree that the new Extremis Iron Man is way better than the Wave One Iron Man. This is the exact reason I did not buy that first version. Because I know if Hasbro puts their mind to it, if they decide to really make good product and I will pay good bucks for it. So until a bigger and better Hulk comes along, I'm staying with that Movie Hulk I got some months back. Same with Spider-man or Daredevil, if they fix those small fists (SM) and way oversized thighs (DD) and giraffe neck (SM) I'd get the next ones too. Great work on figures will be rewarded, mediocre ones will be ignored and criticized.
-
Until MU sculpt quality approaches that of Eaglemoss' Marvel Classic figurines, I am not gonna be collecting these because it is a ripoff for mediocre sculpting. Movie Hulk is even better than that MU monstrosity! Classic and modern Iron Man has so far been lacking IMO, the others lack detail and QC issues for the retail price they charge. I'd pay these prices to see quality or bring back ML in its full glory!

The results are (finally) in!!!

Also if Warpath would be included as Hasbro's pick, sand off the textured vest and rework the legs and boots to resemble their MU version. Warpath don't wear army style boots and pants. -

Rework back the double joint knees for Valkyrie please. This is the only thing keeping me from getting her on my list. If not put on some Viking knee pad armor to cover up those horrendous knees. It is an eyesore. But I agree we should get the new 2 packs to get back the 6-inch line back on track. -

annihilator replied to tyhifive's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I myself accept the results of the poll. I just need the Valkyrie to have a tweak with double joint knees to make it more desirable for me. Deadpool would be a welcome addition for my shelf next to my Cable as well as Black Widow. Truthfully, I voted for Havok, Fantomex and Brother Voodoo, but we should keep the line afloat by supporting it. Griping and moaning won't do anything and only sow more discontent at Hasbro and thereby build less support for the Legends line. The new sculpts are a major improvement over the outdated previous releases of these two characters, so I have no objection to these selections. As SDCC showed, they mentioned the line can only survive with our continued support, and they delivered us the prototypes they worked hard to show to keep the line running. Next year will be a crucial year for Legends and the ball is now on our court . . . -

This Deadpool looks like something I can display with the 2 pack Cable, so I'm in. Black Widow is cool, but I wish she would be packed with another Iron Man character. I am referring to a Balck Widow - - CRIMSON DYNAMO 2 Pack! How about that??
