  1. ML Series 1 Hulk was an excellent sculpt for a release back in 2002 . . . It is a classic figure from 2002. Let's leave it at that. Again bashing a 2002 design by ToyBiz is outright hilarious because it is now darn 2008 !! Hasbro should know better than to use an outdated sculpt that is now ridiculous for use in the present by putting on a new head except to milk the consumers' pockets. With the current improvements in toy design and articulation, they would have done better justice to the character and quit insulting our intelligence. Planet Hulk's sculpt was better by lightyears and so with the Face Off Hulk sculpt. Hasbro needs to stop being cheap and quit milking our pockets and start making newer sculpts.

  2. This fall I'm getting one with my Red Hulk BAF. Being on this forum has made me realize how good that figure really is, plus it is the only Hulk figure that is in scale. The Hulk is 8 feet tall in the comics he should be a fairly large figure. When all the Hulk wave stuff comes out he should be pretty easy to get because everyone will be after the new stuff on Ebay rather than this gem of Hulk goodness. Nothing coming out this year can compare to that Hulk.

You can also get the Marvel Select Red Hulk figure from BBTS. That one is a sure winner too! I'd rather get that Red Hulk that than try to get a whole BAF Wave for that BAF Red Hulk figurein December. It is also a rather big figure, at least 8 inch tall (8 ft) and goes well with the Marvel Legends scale, I believe.

  3. (Revised)

Sabretooth (resculpt Jim Lee version) or use Face-Off body as a base figure

    Fantomex

Albert/ Elsie Dee (2 in one pack)

    Deadpool (updated sculpt)

    Daken or Silver Samurai

    Agent Zero

BAF: Juggernaut (updated sculpt) or Abyss - use of springy plastic material for his tendrils that pop back in place, as in stuff you get at the Discovery Store

  4. Back to topic

  5. The best thing that could happen is for Marvel to do a special arrangement with Marvel Toys and shift the Marvel Legends license back to Jesse Falcon and his crew. Much like the Marvel Select line (I don't recall Hasbro doing Marvel Select, do they ?) They were the ones that made this line a hit in the first place. They know their S#!t more than anything else !

  6. The ML line is in its death throes and only a faint heartbeat can be detected at that. That's why product is coming out quite sparingly. Hasbro is only milking it for the movie tie-ins. And we're gettting mini Hulks and Abominations right now and Hulk fists and the like. Let's just get a new line to collect, like say the Superhero Squads since they shell out more product and characters in this line. Exclusives is probably the route they're really exploring and the best way to continue the line on a limited basis. Let's face it, the BAF idea has run its course. It is getting hard for them to come up with a WHOLE wave of characters to fill in for a BAF themed wave. And since there is no new X-Men movies in the near future (which is really the bestsellers from a historical point of view), they won't have much to make except for rehashing the redistributing old sculpts from circa 2002-2004. We'll see when Spring 2009 rolls along and hope for the best, but the 2 packs are probably the way to go at this this time.

  7. it would not surprise me. when you do the main line exclusive then it is the last way to sell them. hasbro will say nothing about it at sdcc because they want to bring out the last waves. next year they will release the bomb that it is finished. i am saying this from the begining and i bet it is true. now i dont wanna believe it either but thats the way the legends are heading in my opinion. still i wait for the word for hasbro. i can take a while because hasbro still learns how to do a q&a for the marvel section.

Good for them, now Marvel can shift the license to some other manufacturer, like say McFarlane Toys (anyone saw how they handled the HALO3 line?) or Mattel (at least they have the 4 Horsemen) and better yet, get this thing back in Marvel Toys' hands !

  8. Skrulls can change in phases as seen in Illuminati Secret Invasion. Skrull/Black Bolt was shown in mid-transformation. So it would not look real stupid if he can transform halfway, or part of the way. The Super Skrull can transform in any phase possible with any of his F4 powers with any of his limbs at will, so it is possible. Hasbro can make a special series of figures that can interchange heads with any of the Avengers and voila! Secret Invasion Skrull !

  9. Less activity on the shelves means less crap to talk about. How can we always talk about the same crap everytime? Hasbro, send us some new crap to talk about so we can critique them! Stop showing them on the conventions months and months ahead and start puting real stuff on the floor. Boy, you are slower than that other company. I thought you had better distribution. At least give us something to talk about. Nuff said!

  10. Case in point that they read feedback. A few months back, there was a thread to do away with BAF altogether and just revert back to doing custom bases and accessories. I posted a reply to have pack-ins as in interchangeable weaponry, katanas, interchangeable heads w/ unmasked versions, etc. Months later, we have 2 packs with all kinds of interchangeables stuff, heads (Elektra with or w/o bandana), Skrull version head, Hand Ninja with multiple Hand weapons (get the pun?). Like that? If only they would listen to return to large sized ICONs only for HUGE characters like Super Adaptoid, another Sentinel model, MOJO (Grotesque sized), Goliath (Ben Foster), Master Mold, Ultimo, Giant Leader Humanoids, Bi-Beast, Asgardian Trolls, the Living Monolith, They won't have to resort to BAFs anymore.

  11. Don't quit on something good, just don't be a completist like some people and blow a lot of money on this line. It will only get better once us consumers make clear to Hasbro what we want in a Legends line. Already we are slowly seeing a change in their product, articulation seems to be switching back to what it should be and paint apps are slowly getting better. Just don't buy the sucky products that have a lack thereof and keep a on giving feedback and critique and they'll get the message, slowly but surely. If they want our money, they better deliver what people want. They do listen and read our feedback.
