The First Appearance Spidey is the first SM that captures the Ditko look from the first issue. To me it looks fine and it poses quite naturally. I just had to cut off the armpit webbing. As for the lean, gangly look, and li'l arms and hands, he's a teenage college kid (Peter Parker), whaddya expect ? He's excellent !

I am probably not going to buy new Legends for the rest of the year or next year. The economy is really showing signs of slowing down and my workplace has seen people all around me being laid off left and right. I might be next in the firing line.

Spider-Man series 12, I think. Officially known as Superposeable Spider-Man. Commonly thought of as the best Spider-Man to date. Not a cheap one to get a hold of either.
up...series 12.
You can get the same one cheaper in WalMart that Hasbro just rereleased. Why pay $60 when you can get one for $10.99 with better colors in the reissue?

At present, what is the ratio of heroes to villains in your collection ? Mine is 21/16. My favorite one now is Absorbing Man. I gave him a shiny luster to his dome!

The delay is because the Cat Beast has been having some major issues, they might just have to release the wave without him, which is fine by me. Never like the cat face anyways. I just want Black Bolt and DD. That's it for me.

No, this one makes ThorBuster look like his lil brother.

The exclusive wave is causing a lot of scalpers emptying the Stores and selling these on EBay. It was much better when these were sold everywhere.

I'm not likin' the 3 3/4 line just coz Hasbro would have an excuse to hike the price on the larger 6" line to $15. These MU's will go in the $8 to $9.99 range like I now see for the Star Wars line. I may not be Edgar Cayce but that is the writing on the wall. And the affordable hobby would become unaffordable. That is a fact when 2009 rolls in !! Note: And when MLegends becomes unaffordable, sales dip and Hasbro has all the more reason to discontinue the 6" line.

Why is everyone surprised with the MS Iron Man's size? It is the Marvel Select line (7"). Of course he is in synch with MS Thor or MS Hulk! I don't know why everyone thinks MS is supposed to be in tune with Marvel Legends (1/12), just because Marvel Legends Lord Thor, BAF Ares and Series 3 Thor are out of scale (7") and as big as the Marvel Select line doesn't mean they are all gonna be perfect line to be an alternate or substitute with Legends. The only figure could realistically be passable to ML is MS Hulk since he can be driven to an insane size if agitated enough as in the Movie version.
On another note, since I am a scale Nazi supremo, the photo shows Wonder Man (I consider him on my list of Top pin-headed characters along with Black Panther, FFML Silver Surfer, FFML Thing, HR Iron Man, new Vision and Vindicator).

For now Hasbro realistically stated they are going the 2-pack route for Marvel Legends

Wave 2
Warpath and Darwin
Korvus and Vulcan
Gladiator and Lilandra
Wave 3
Wrecker and Mr. Hyde
Photon and Starfox
Ultron and Titania
Wave 4
Jim Lee Cyclops and Jean Grey
Sebastian Shaw and Emma Frost (new sculpt)
Sauron and Magneto
Wave 5
Terrax and Nova (Frankie Raye)
Blink and Mimic
Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo
Wave 6
Enchantress and Skurge (Executioner)
Medusa and Scarlet Witch
Ultimate Namor and Ultimate Thing

Hasbro is showing its lack of commitment to Marvel Legends in this situation and limiting production of the exclusives. With their recent Q & A's galore talking about excitement for the Marvel Universe and some murky replies when it comes to Marvel Legends, how can they be so vague? DC Universe is going full blast with their waves and waves of BAF's and all we get from Hasbro is Duh . . news of their small Lilliputian, cum Star Wars sized figures. C'mon, why are they thinking this is gonna be the second coming of 3 3/4" figures. Let GI Joes be GI Joes, Star Wars be Star Wars and leave the Marvel line at Marvel Legends scale.

The answer to the question might be misleading and double-edged, meaning he could be referring to super teams be made in 3 3/4" scale as opposed to Marvel Legends. Remember, they are willing to cater to us, but on a different scale. As long as we are interested in Marvel, they are not distinguishing between Marvel Legends and Marvel Universe. If we buy these smallies, then they are ready to drop Marvel Legends altogether. So be careful what you wish for these "Super Teams". I am NOT buying these smaller figures at all.

I read Essentials everything out of the public library. I don't have the shelf room at all to collect these. And my public library has lots of these from trade paperbacks to the Essentials and my favorite Trade Paperback/Graphic novel would be the Hulk encountering these gamma powered beings enhanced by this secret organization using his irradiated blood and the last issue has him facing the Abomination as the Finale. It is titled . . . .Abominable !!

The only thing that bothered me most is the treatment of the ML line by Hasbro. They simply expected a windfall from that contract and forgot how to earn our respect.
I have said it before, if they treated the Marvel products like they do Star Wars and GI Joe, no one would ever complain about anything, except, when is the next wave hitting.
When the Sigma Six figures normally have better movement than Marvel Legends, for more money, something is wrong. Plus Hasbro acts as if packing in accessories outside of the BAF part is too much to ask for.
If they would go back to listening to the fans (like Spiral, AOA Sunfire, etc.) things would be better.
Also, Mattel beat Toy Biz to the BAF punch with the JLU 4'-inch line, but most people did remember ML for how they up the ante with huge figs like the Sentinel and Galactus. Now, Mattel is stepping up and giving us accessories and C&C (BAF) figures that the people want. Can't wait for Kalibak, Atom Smasher, and Metallo.
I like Kalibak, he can be my Ulik, if Hasbro can't make one for Marvel Legends. Just like I'm eyeing DC Ares for a future Executioner custom.

Yeah well Tracy Mcgrady's arms can almost touch his knees while standing up straight. No one calls him out of proportion (just soft)
Not all people are built like basketball hoopsters (Tracy McGrady), some of them have overly long arms, huge hands (Dr. J), big feet (Wilt Chamberlain). Let's not exaggerate average characters appendages.

Fan brackets are a way for Mattel to show they actual listen to their fans and collectors. And they do deliver. Hasbro so far just does one fan poll to gauge customers' choice (Sunfire) and still can't seem to find their way thru the 6" line, besides probably just looking at forums every now and then still can't get a clue how to keep it going.

I am 46 and still going strong. Can't wait till 2012 for that rumoured Dr. Strange Movie.

I cannot picture collecting these except for Silver Surfer so he can go with Galactus on a display.

Well, I don't collect action figures just coz and definitely not a completist. I am neither a rabid Marvel fan or a DC diehard, but I do know when a figure is worth my dollars be it Marvel Legend or DC Universe. So, I have not bought any recent Marvel Legend lately from the newer waves besides Mr. Fantastic and Dr. Doom. and Ares from (4 Horsemen) DC Universe. If they stand out, and catches my attention then I buy them. My latest acquisition being that 12" bundle of awesomeness, Master Chief (HALO 3) that I spotted in a Fred Meyer store. Pure joy to dsiplay in my pad.
i respect that bro! i truly do. i LOVE batman, but i wont just buy anything they make of him. i did just buy this a coule of days ago though.(bat pod)
I love that pic, but can he turn his head and look forward and not crash his bike? Or does he have an LCD display to show where he's headed ?

Only the Marvel Select Hulk can give him (PITT) a run for his money. He is tall enough to look him in the eye.

I like that figure too. He's the default New Avengers Spidey in my collection!
