  1. The early Hasbro Legends were way behind the Toy-Biz Legends in the area of articulation. They introduced that weird elbow and knee joint that severely limited movement. They still use it. That would be one area they should work to improve. I know there are problems with the double jointed elbow, particularly in female character figures. I'm sure they'll find a solution to this. Hasbro has really impressed me with the ankle joints of late. Blink is able to do some really dynamic poses with her teleportation ring because of the stiff but flexible ankle joint. The Patch Wolverine is another that I enjoy for this. Fingers are cool when they are executed well. I have a few figures whose fingers are inserted out of order. It works well with BAFs like Giant-Man, MODOK. The face-off Captain America works too, since he often gets posed pointed toward the battle. Do you have any figures in mind that need fingers? I really think Hasbro eliminated the need for articulated fingers by packing in multiple hands. That's an improvement over Toy-Biz to me.
  2. Thanks. I have no idea what is going on with this story, or any of the back-stories. I hope everyone enjoys it. It looks like they did some work to research some things.
  3. I see. I thought that looked like Mantis. So, is her son a Kree soldier? He kind of looks like one. Are they getting married? Is that Dormammu?
  4. What does the tagline mean? Who are the celestial Madonna and messiah?
  5. I didn’t get any figures, but I received some nice display stands.
  6. I like the idea of Nimrod and Box. But are those guys really BAF-size characters? Are you just accepting that Hasbro has reduced the size of the average BAFs now? That’s cool, just wondering. If Hasbro will ever do a full 12” figure, then Atlas should be it.
  7. Bastion could be cool. I thought of him for the next 3-in-1 pack. Didn’t some of his minions look like him? Exodus combines significance in the lore, an interesting enough look for young collectors, and has been long in demand. He’s a good option. Would it be late New Mutants Rictor in green and white, or the later X-Force like his 90’s Toybiz figure? I like the possibility of getting some Marauders since Scalphunter is active in the comics. Arclight could be cool. Black Tom could work as a villain. He has history with the X-Men and X-Force. I’ve just been reading through the Omega Red stories from X-Men volume 2 featuring Maverick and had almost all of his solo series. He’d look great with all the recent Jim Lee era X-Men they’ve lately provided. Is it supposed to be a Deadpool wave or X-Force wave? I can’t remember. Could they do first appearance Storm? We already have Warpath and Sunspot, right? GIdeon is a major X-Force foe. Could they possibly do anyone from MLF? Forearm, Reaper, Wildside? Could we see Wolfsbane? Is there another Deadpool? I’m surprised we haven’t heard yet.
  8. Why does Hasbro think those elbows are any good? Are double-jointed elbows on a female figure that hard to do? Maybe they don't age well?
  9. I think some alternate heads would be really cool. I’m not sure if every figure’s head is equally swappable, so that’s the only possible downside. I’d really like a couple of different heads for Outback Dazzler. The one they made is cool, but not my fave. Same with Blink. Dazzler’s effects are OK, but she pointed her fingers like a gun in those days. just some thoughts.
  10. I recently won an Amazon gift card at work which enabled me to pick up a few of the recently released X-Men figures. Of them, my favorites right now are retro Dazzler, Wolverine, and Silver Samurai. They are pretty awesome figures. At first I didn't really appreciate Wolverine or Samurai but they are growing on me. I like the size of SS. Patch's claws are fantastic. This is the first modern Wolverine figure I've owned. That is a heck of an engineering upgrade over the soft ones of the past. I'm really enjoying the some of the engineering improvements Hasbro has made, that I am seeing in these figures. The ankle joints are very nice. They've exceeded my expectations and I'm really enjoying them. I don't know if I would use the word "thankful", but I really appreciate the engineering that has gone into them, and they are great new figures.
  11. You're probably right. I was thinking different paint jobs would be enough. I was thinking of this yesterday. Did he turn blue, then back to normal, then back to blue? When he starts with X-Factor he's normal, then turns blue and never goes back, but he was blue with the Avengers, and that was before X-Factor, right?
  12. Original X-Factor could also double as an original X-Men. I've never seen it, but my understanding is that the original X-Men boxset wasn't very good. It's at least been a couple of years since it's release now, right? I would think they'd be a shoe-in for sales. They could even do some of the variant costumes worn by the X-Factor team. Or how about X-Factor in their "mutant hunting" overalls? Probably too obscure.
  13. I voted for: Boom-Boom's power effect. It looks like she is throwing her time bomb. That's cool. X-Men Vintage wave packaging. The graphics and pictures are appealing. I really appreciated the easy way to split open the cardboard to access the plastic clamshell. It's sealed well, but easy to open. Very clever package engineering. Caliban BAF and wave. It offered a lot of good figures, new figures we needed, and good updates of previously released characters. Caliban looks like a great figure, too.
  14. Iceman was awesome looking in AoA. I like when they can pull of a weird sized figure. Giant spiked shoulders and fists. Huge, ice-slide body. Could be cool.
  15. Didn't he have some giant sized appearances in his battle with Magneto in Amazing X-Men? I was actually thinking of the sentinels as a BAF the other day. They would indeed be cool. Could Hasbro do something that big anymore? The TB one was huge, and Fin Fang Foom was huge. How expensive would that line have to be to accommodate the cost of so much plastic. Maybe they choose all small characters: Lava-lamp Shadow King with a Sentinel leg. Tiny Sugarman a la X-Men Omega with the torso....
  16. Right. He'd have to be somewhat rigid for display and articulation purposes. Would it be enough for him to just have a couple of "unraveled" limbs? He could be a cool figure. He could also be a major fail. I would also expect other characters to come first. Since we have so many characters from Astonishing X-Men, maybe Nemesis makes sense.
  17. I voted Apocalypse. I know he wasn’t highly active, but he was in almost every title and it’s a cool look. Like others, I think it will be Sabertooth based on Wild Child’s inclusion. Nemesis would be cool. I missed out on him the first time. I actually have the old TB Sugar Man from the 5” line. He was oversized then. I should see how he compares. How would Abyss be best designed? He had a normal look, and his giant unraveled tape look.
  18. Yeah. Y'know, my thought is that they both look so radically different, and they are popular characters. I bet they would do well. I think they would be visually appealing to kids, and obscure enough for collectors. That would be the sweet spot for an A-list character, right?
  19. Got it. It would be cool to see some of these lesser known versions. I think that Thor wasn't too popular at the time but it looks kind of neat now. I would think that any Captain America would sell. Having armor should help that too.
  20. That's the other Wolverine Character that comes to mind immediately. I think there are a lot of "suited" versions that could be cool. In the Acts of Vengeance story arc in which Mandarin turns Psylocke into an assassin, he appears largely in a suit. It's a really cool look. It probably wouldn't fly off the shelves. I wonder if a Wolverine would. It's nice seeing the images. That Wolverine would be cool, of course. Not an original thought there. The Captain America and Thor are interesting versions. I remember that Thor from the Onslaught crossover. When did that Cap appear and why? I like that Binary and Storm. Zenpool actually looks kind of neat, and Kluh, about whom I know nothing. Nice lists everyone.
  21. That Deadpool is an actually good idea. I mean. Not really, but it would probably the most acceptable of all options. Clever idea! I have the old Toy-biz Weapon X Logan, and Days of Future Past Logan and they are very good in my eyes. I'm not sure of Hasbro's attempts. The cowboy one seemed alright.
  22. Ah. I understand their methodology. I guess I was just thinking it might be a fun concept. I know we all get irritated by the over-inclusion of Wolverine, and especially Deadpool. I was wondering how many different waves could make of these characters in costumes that Hasbro hasn't done yet.
