  1. That looks really good. I wonder if it will be executed better than the recent Legends figure. I like the force field effect too.
  2. That's just kids.... But in 20 years, the ones who saved them will sell them on eBay for $100 and Hasbro will revive the line for the nostalgia collectors.... šŸ¤£
  3. I mean Marvel in general, not Hasbro in this particular instance. The timing makes sense. I'm speaking more broadly about the gimmicky nature of the multiverse at this point. There were always special events that changed up Spiderman. The multiverse expands that, allowing writers to do anything. How do they top that?
  4. If they are making smaller figures with playsets, they need to bring back the Pocket Comics!
  5. Wow. They are really pushing the multiverse thing. It does allow for some fun ideas. Does it saturate the market? Also, what you win people with is what you win them to. Multiverse stuff will have to be exceeded in a few years. How can you top that?
  6. I have the BAF Blob and he is good enough. The side-by-side picture is nice though. The BAF is a little on the "realistic" side, with all the rolls and cottage cheese. The deluxe, actually looks nicer, with the smooth features. I'm sure the articulation is better, too. I hated those days with Hasbro. They've improved a lot over the years.
  7. Villains to Heroes Marrow - Gene Nation with bone swords. White Queen - Generation X headmistress pants suit. Magneto - purple costume with white "M". Banshee - Factor 3 green and yellow with alternate head with mind control headband. Feral New Villain Teams Dark Riders - Gauntlet or Foxbat with Dirt Nap in rat form and some guns. Upstarts - Siena Blaze with... something that looks like her superpower... which is...? Nasty Boys - Gorgeous George with two sets of arms maybe? Stretched out and regular. Eternals - Gideon with sword hidden in briefcase power. Retired WWII Heroes - Stonewall Sorry. These lists were hard and I flaked. Feral was only a Morlock for a few panels, and they are only barely villains. The Dark Riders and Upstarts have a lot of characters that should be made. The rest.... I'm not sure we need a Hairbag or Krule.
  8. How did you make Cole and Macon? Did you paint them? Do you have pictures of them?
  9. Yeah. The only thing I donā€™t like from that era is the boots. Big floppy cuffs. Goofy.
  10. I really want these guys, but I can't imagine there is much pent up demand for geriatric superhumans with boring powers.
  11. Cool. Did you do a little paint work on those? I don't have those skills. I like the easy headswap customs.
  12. Egghead and crossfire look neat. Good custom fodder at the very least. Nice to get a second crack at Ultron. Iā€™m not a movie figure fan, but those look really well done, if they are the actual final product. Well done.
  13. Oh for sure. What do you like about him? Design, backstory? Honestly, I didn't realize until last year that Magneto killed Senyaka after not too many appearances. I just had the 5" figure and thought he was cool.
  14. Nice set. Unus partners with Blob, and weren't all three early members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? Destiny is a must for BoE 2. I think I would swap Senyaka with Mellencamp. His simple green lizard design was never compelling to me.
  15. I think you're right on the Reavers just being muscular guys with guns. It's amazing how close the Gung-Ho actually comes to the comic look for Reese. I think he had a tactical vest. Probably not a giant tattoo. Still, I think he is the best option of the others I've seen (Nuke, Cable).
  16. Heroes as Villains First Appearance Rogue - multiple hands, maybe a hooded, unhooded, and 90ā€™s alternate heads. Wolverine as Death - masked and unmasked, sword, claws in and out Malice - Iā€™m not sure what accessories to include. Maybe a couple of green magnetic effects? Havok - Age of Apocalypse, or Dark Beast minion Mimic - optic blast and ice blast accessories
  17. So a custom ā€œJoeā€? Cool. Did you do anything with the other pieces?
  18. What GI Joe (or other toy line) figures transfer well to a Marvel Legends display? I used a GI Joe Gung Ho for the extra Reaver head that came with Skullbuster. I know there are other options people have used. It looks like the Lady Jaye figure could work as a Madelyne Pryor in flight suit, with the right head. It also occurs to me that some of the Press Gang could be made from repurposed GI Joe figures. What figures have you found to be easy custom Legends?
  19. Oops. I meant the fishbowl guy that came with Skullbuster. I can't remember if it is Reese, Cole, or Macon.
