  1. my dream Wolverine Legends would be something like this:

    BAF - Fat Cobra

    1. Silver Samurai

    2. Maverick

    3. Gorgon

    4. Puck

    5. X-23 (X-Force/modern variant)

    6. Domino (X-Force/modern variant)

    7. Vanisher (X-Force)

also id like Wolfsbane, but im not sure how she would look as ML, so i got her off my list

There's no Wolverine in your Wolverine Legends line...I love that dream!!

  2. Wal-Mart is theeee worst place ever to have an exclusive. They could care less if the case ever leaves the warehouse. Diamond got their Amazing Spider-Man Marvel Select figures in comic stores 2 or 3 weeks (at least!!) before the movie came out & their Disney/Marvel store exclusives online & in store the week of the movie. Far superior in my opinion. And a much more intelligent business model. We all think Hasbro doesn't have our best interests in mind...well Wal-Mart clearly does not have Hasbro's best interests in mind.

16614524[/url]' date='Jul 15 2012, 01:46 AM']Also: I remember a few months ago when I said here that Wrecker & Bulldozer were coming & would be released the same way as Thunderball & Piledriver (running changes). Everyone thought I was a fool!!

I think you may have meant something different but Wrecker is not in the same wave as TB and PD.

Right I know that. I just said that Wrecker & Bulkdozer would be coming soon in a future wave as running changes of each other. I said they would be using the same mold as PD & TB and everyone thought that that would be impossible. Thought that I was crazy and a fool! I've never let that stop me though ha!

  4. Stryfe never should be a BAF anyways. He could easily be a single carded figure. Also: I remember a few months ago when I said here that Wrecker & Bulldozer were coming & would be released the same way as Thunderball & Piledriver (running changes). Everyone thought I was a fool!!!

Totally bummed about no masterworks Fin Fang Foom. Maybe NYCC.

Also very bummed that the Uncanny X-Force 3 pack is sold out. That saves us the time & trouble to try & track down a set on HTS this Tuesday. At least we'll get Wolverine & Archangel singles.

Iron Monger BAF...AWESOME! There's still hope! We'll just have to buy lots of Iron Mans (Iron Men?).

  5. I'm not the new generation. And in 10 years I'll sell what I have & start with the new.

I imagine it will still be 6 figures to build Hit Monkey. Head, Torso & Tail, Right Arm, Left Arm, Right Leg, Left Leg. This is Hasbro we're talking about. None of us need to defend or apologize for them They don't want our loyalty they want our money. If they don't get it...well...they don't need it. They'll cancel the line again & make money off all their other lines.

If you want awesome, huge figures buy Marvel Selects. They have a great Rhino, Venom, Ultron & Barbarian Hulk coming soon. They also have some others already available (Juggernaut, Colossus, (Red) Hulk, Sabretooth, Abomination, The Thing...

Don't expect anything big (no pun intended) from Hasbro.

Tiny pieces will likely be cheap on eBay though if you want to finish these TBAF's (Tiny Build A Figures...I'll take a nickel each time that it's used) w/o buying every figure.

Buy what you want/like...skip what you don't. Sound logic.

  6. Yeah I don't mind "re-releases" at all. I view this run of Marvel Legends as a brand new line. Separate from Toybiz. Separate from the first run of Hasbro Marvel Legends. With this new line brings lots of new collectors. It would be stupid & foolish for us to expect Hasbro to never make a character that they've already made before...even if it is a direct repaint (Doom, Deadpool, even US Agent...). Remember that the original Marvel Legends started 10 years ago. Who remembers what Marvel action figures were like in 1992 then the jump they made starting in 2002? The difference between 2002 and 2012 isn't as drastic but lots of the original Marvel Legends are due for updates and there are plenty of new collectors that will buy them even if you think the one you have is better. I personally sold most of my Marvel Legends when the first run of Hasbro ended so I welcome all the new figures...even if some of them could be better (Iron Fist specifically). I am really disappointed at the lack of a BAF in wave 3 but it seems, for now, that it's a one wave hiatus. We'll discover more as SDCC progresses.

if they rerelease figures like doom or deadpool, i have nothing against it because some just start right now and i am glad they can join in after all those years. but why not call this the best of wave and just include characters like deadpool or doom or cap and keep marvel legends for new characters.
  7. Yeah I guess content is a good word. I'm content with Marvel Legends. Not thrilled or excited or overjoyed but still at least content and interested. A year ago we had nothing. I'm glad that the line is back & still around. And in any case...there is always room for improvement...no matter what. Gripes aside...they'll still get some of my money.

I'm content right now simply because some of these did need updates or better versions aside from Punisher. I mean there's like 6 of him already. But TB Iron Fist is jacked up looking and their Mystique is puny. I know the head is a repaint but it does look better in blue and fits her more than it did Madame Hydra. I'm really just glad the BAFs are coming back and the filler wave at least shows they are thinking a little about us. They probably never thought the return would catch fire like it has and weren't prepared. Hell we should be glad they are back after all the noise we made when the line was cancelled. I definitely don't mind a few months between wave 3 & 4 either. October is close to Christmas plus it has taken a few of us some time to complete the last wave because they didn't hit every where at the same time. Some complained that 1 & 2 came out too close together. Spring 2013 will probably mean Feb. when 4 starts hitting anyway. Like the first wave did as well.
  8. Seriously! SDCC is the biggest collector/entertainment event of the year & they dropped this on us. I really love most of the new figures but...an exact re-paint of Dr. Doom? An Iron Fist with Spider-Man hands? 4 Captain America type figures in 4 waves? Madame Hydra (man face) head on Mystique? No BAFs for the same exact cost? Why are they wasting their/our time on a "filler wave" instead of using the huge venue that is SDCC to display something truly great? Oh well...something is better than nothing. Definitely cherry picking this wave though. May cancel my BBTS pre-order.

I'm not understanding how wave 3 is supposed to be a filler wave just to hold us over until the 2013 wave. I understand that wave 1-2 came out a little too close to one another but I don't think that should make wave 3 any less significant where they wouldn't wanna put that much effort into it.
  9. Oh geeze I didn't even think of that...I would hate if this was a movie set. Although my wallet would be happy.

Sounds like it could be neat, espeically for those who don't have any 6" verisons of these characters(Not everyone has been collecting Marvel 6" stuff since 2001, nore do they have the luxery to buy stuff off eBay or online stores). However, until I see pics, it's hard for me to get excited about it. That said, I do personally hope that this 4 pack is the more articulated Toy Biz molds(Such as the figures from the Toy Biz Marvel Legends Fearsome Foes and Sinister 6 sets). Course, you never know that they could also just do Movie figures as well, such as the Wal-mart Exclusive The Amazing Spider-man verisons of Spidey and Lizard, and the Sam Rami Trilogy verisons of Venom and Doc Ock.
