  1. I Just called the closest Target to me and the lady said that they didn't have them in store but they have Wave 1 in their off site warehouse. She is going to order them for me tonight and hopefully I can pick them up tomorrow!
  2. Nice! I went to a new Wal-Mart today and they had nothing but six 4 inch Captain America figures. So pitiful.
  3. I've never seen these at retail either. Which I don't mind...I can save money for the upcoming Marvel Legends. I'll probably have to get those online b/c I doubt stores here in Nashville will pick them up.
  4. While that Iron Man has a great design IMO...he's actually smaller than the small Mark VI movie Iron Man. I'm going to do my best to look past scale though and just buy them b/c they look cool. Scale usually didn't matter to me b/c I didn't open most of my Marvel Legends but now I don't have room to store them unopened anymore.
  5. Well I just asked Diamond Select on their facebook & they said Juggernaut, Cyclops & Magneto Marvel Selects are 2011 releases. So I'm counting Juggernaut & Magneto! They also said the Colossus Marvel Select is technically a 2011 release too (even though he doesn't come out til the end of this Month or early next month) so I'll count him too!
  6. I've been collecting Marvel Select since Marvel Legends went away so my favorites that came out in 2011 were Gambit and Disney Exclusive Hawkeye. I was going to say Juggernaut too but I do think he came out at the end of 2010. I bought a Titanium Man too...pretty nice. I passed on Crimson Dynamo too many times now he's no where. I've still never seen any of the 6 inch Cap or Thor figures at any Wal-Mart.
  7. I got one for $20 from tfieds.com about 3 years go. It was awesome! I eventually sold it when I got rid of most of my Marvel Legends but I would not mind to get another one sometime. Only thing I don't like about him is his shoulders. I actually like the Hasbro version...he's just too small.
  8. Man I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I will start collecting these again...but the more I see of them & the closer it gets to them being released...I'm certainly leaning towards buying them!
  9. I should reiterate that i'm not hating on Marvel Legends at all...i love them! I'm just saying that I probably can't afford $150 3 or 4 times a year anymore.
  10. I kind of agree. I've grown accustomed to paying $20 for 5 or 6 quality Marvel Select figures a year and may not be interested in Marvel Legends anymore. I also enjoy Minimates now. These new Marvel Legends are nice to look at but i haven't decided if I'll start collecting them again.
  11. Hey if any of you are interested in some Marvel Select figures (Especially the Disney Store exclusives!) they are having a 25% off sale on everything today! You pick the figures you want (or if you want the Future Foundation of Classic Avenger Minimates Box Sets) then go to check out and type in THANKYOU25. Also: if you want free shipping all you have to do is add something from their Disney Parks collection. I found the cheapest thing (Mickey Mouse Toast Press for $3.95) and added that to my cart. Then type in PARKSFREE in the same place you typed THANKYOU25. Pretty awesome deal. The Marvel Select figures come out to less than $17. Just thought I'd pass this awesome info along! It ends today though. Oh shoot I never put the website! www.disneystore.com. I bet they have some Marvel Universe figures too.
  12. That's an even better reason why he should be massive!
  13. Ha sorry man; you had to have seen that coming from the past few issues though. It didn't actually happen yet though. Just implied. I didn't realize people read current books on here but I should've known at least one other person has been reading this amazing series. Anyways i think that Spider-Man & Daken look awesome. I'm just happy that we're seeing all double elbow/knees & swivel biceps again!
  14. Man these are so great! Hopefully the final product will look as good, if not better, than these! I love that Fantomex; hopefully they continue with the X-Force theme. Archangel with an "Age of" Archangel variant would be so amazing. And Psylocke with "Death" variant too!
  15. I think that from the list of characters that you said don't have as much appeal that we'd be most likely to see Fantomex and Lady Bullseye. Fantomex plays a big part in Uncanny X-Force right now and Lady Bullseye is the Kingpin's right hand woman. I doubt we'd see that Fantomex though; we'll probably see the X-Force version (which I think looks way better).
  16. The price jump has been in effect since the beginning of the year (Magneto, Cyclops, Gambit, Juggernaut...) but one store close to me still sells them for $19.99.
  17. Dang does Colossus have double knee joints!? That would be amazing!
  18. Yep I was able to get 2 of the SDCC exclusive ones from HTS on Tuesday (they haven't shipped yet though so hopefully nothing gets messed up). I might buy a couple more at retail when I see them. Especially if they get clearanced. We'll have a way better chance of finding Galactus at clearance though. No one wants multiples of him but everyone wants lots of Sentinels.
  19. Marvel Select is the reason people nitpick. I am excited for Marvel Legends to continue though. Not overly excited about the first wave but wave 2 is amazing. Well all I can say if your attitude represents most ML collector's then I wouldn't hold much hope for the line to make a come back. First your description of history is off. ML was dying out before Hasbro even took over the line. Toy Biz flooded the market with their last several waves of Marvel Legends which sat their collecting dust for over a year. Also you act as if Hasbro stole the license away. Toy Biz/Marvel was done with it and sold it off to another toy company. You wouldn't have any ML at all then or now if it wasn't for Hasbro. Over the years since Hasbro took over the license this country has experienced some horrid economic times and the landscape of the toy market has changed drastically since ML were first released. You can sit there and act like you are owed something and set your expectations so high that no toy company could meet them which will likely mean the death for Marvel Legends, or you can understand that in this market your probably lucky to be getting anything at all at this point and if you want to see more and more effort put into it, its going to require people buying them. When you are always looking at ways to be negative and nitpick every little thing all your doing is creating a negative environment know one really wants to be part of. If you have constructive input about how to improve a line, their are better ways of doing it than making statements like Hasblow suck, ect ect. In the end if you don't like something then don't buy it, that's the most powerful statement anyone of you can make but if you are serious about wanting ML returning, it's in as much your hands as a collector community as it is Hasbro's, and how you portray that community has an impact.
  20. I love that Marvel Legends are happening again...but I think for me personally I've been away from them for too long. They are cool to look at and see new figures but I got rid of most of mine & have moved on to Marvel Select & Minimates. And at $14.99? I guess I paid that much for the Deadpool/Warpath pack ($30 total) but Rogers & Constrictor might be the only ones i pick up (and Klaw if they don't use that tiny Silver Surfer body). Or I'll pick up the others for the Terrax parts (b/c he looks awesome...hands aside) and sell the others. So I guess I'm not necessarily complaining about the price...there just aren't many figures in this wave that I would pay $15 for. Excited to see how this line evolves. I remember first starting with Toybiz Marvel Legends and thinking "How can they ever make these better!?" Toybiz did have their shortcomings and Hasbro has had some very good figures...but I never thought I would see it go backward. For now I will be an optimistic onlooker and hope that I don't regret skipping out on most of these.
  21. $50-$60 is cheaper than buying the whole wave! I may be more likely to do that rather than buy all these figures that I don't really want. And it is weird that they are re-using old molds when they said that they weren't doing that. That was the first thing I noticed. And it is funny that Ghost Rider is the best one. I didn't get why he was blue at first but then I remembered that's what Ketch looks like now.
