hey LC, I love the look of the F4 movie/ video game Doombots, but dang!!! The Price is ridiculous!!!
So maybe Hasbro will re-release it or you can do what I do, save money ad make other figures as Doombots.
I suggest the Sigma Six line of robots called BATS
Hey man thanks! You just gave me a grand idea that is going to save me a lot of bucks. I am going to get some Legendary comic heroes Super Patriots and repaint them on the torso, head, and neck. I can get those figs real cheap and I can make a grand Doombot army and have Mecha Hulk as the general with it all led by Doom.

Ok I wanted to know some quick tips on how to keep paint from rubbing off on the joint areas when doing a repaint. Also I wanted to know how to paint the fig to keep the joints mobile.

I really enjoy the Venom from this line it looks good with and without the tail. I'm glad i waited for that one instead of buying the SMC series 16 one. The new one is just fine with me.

Worst ML of 2008: Ares Series Scarlet Spider
Now since I included the Brood Queen series, it was easy to add all those corny movie based figures, but to me the Scarlet Spider was the crappiest. At least the Human Torch was done with a new translucent flame look. They gave us 2 extra Spideys outside of all the animated and Heroes & Villains assortment only to make a cheap version of Ben Reilly? Come on Hasbro!!! You could have given us someone different. Don't just milk us for money's sake. How about a Terrax or the Grey Gargoyle? Something?? Naw. we got another default figure just have an "A"-lister on board. Pure crap!!! At least the Black Costumed Spidey from the Red Hulk series was nice.
I gotta disagree with you big time on this. I just got the scarlet spider and its is absolutely amazing.I don't know how you can complain about this fig,it looks great and we never got a scarlet spider in that costume. The black spidey on the other hand, PU, what a total waste of plastic, the toybiz spiderman classics one looks a 1000 times better than that sorry excuse of a fig.
I don't think the Scarlet Spider is the worst of the year. It's an ok fig. There's just something about it's hand. Too small.
I also don't get all the RULK black spidey love. I mean, it's a really nice looking fig, but it doesn't have enough articulation for a spidey fig. The ankles in particular make it difficult to give it true spidey like poses.
The Spider-Man Origins/Spider-Man Classics one is the best Black suit Spidey in my opinion

Sometimes getting them loose is cheaper. I got some ML2 Doombots for cheap that way.
All I have seen was MOC figs. I guess I just have to be patient and wait it out until one pops up. The movie series Doombots I'm going to pay top dollar regardless. Those are rare figs.

Before I start this is not a hate Hasbro page. I just wanted to know what the dedicated 6 inch collectors are going to do after the two packs and the Nemesis wave (if that ever hits U.S. stores). Me personally I am taking the money I would normally spend on new Legends and I'm getting those old rare figs that I missed the boat on. What are you guys going to do? More customizing, call your collection good, or buy more monthly series' of comics with the extra cash? It feels like I'm asking pro athletes what they are doing after thier sport, LOL.

( I have one myself if you want it and you have some sota Street fighter figures let me know ... )
If I had those figs I would trade I only have Marvel Legends but good looking out with the Ebay link, Thanks! Yeah and you're right we do need to spend that money to get us out of the hole economically our country is in.

those figures are rare so they cost a lot of money dude !
Yeah I figured if I save up $150 to $250 I will have enough to buy them. Since there is no 6 inch figs this year I might as well save up and get the really rare figs that I want.

I am posting this because I am looking for a place online where I can find two ML series 8 Doombots and 2 Fantastic Four Movie series 5 Doombots. I have Doom in my Hulk display but I think the Doombots would put my display over the edge in excellence. I wanted to look other places before I use Ebay.

Even as a kid I really never liked G.I. Joe sized figs I always leaned more towards the old Toybiz Marvel stuff. When I got older I looked at Marvel Legends and started collecting when I started college. I finally have a Marvel Legends collection that is finally coming together I really don't want to make a scale change it seems like then I would throw all the money I spent down the drain. Scale changing is a financial move that I cannot make right now even if I did have the money I still wouldn't.

I must admit, I'm really more into the DC Universe 6" figures right now. I have a couple of figures from each wave and I have every figure from wave 1, 3 and 6. In fact, the new long haired Superman has fast become one of my favorite figures I own. And I can't wait to pick up Flash, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold from wave 7.
I even currently have this pic as my computer desktop.
Still, I'm definitely a bigger Marvel fan than DC. (Always have been). But I'm not an either or kind of guy. I think you can like both Coke and Pepsi, Star Wars and Star Trek and DC and Marvel. I'm a diehard Spider-Man fan, but DC has some of my favorite characters as well. I used to love the Perez/Wolfman New Teen Titans, John Byrne's Superman, Justice League International by Giffen, Dematteis and Maquire, etc. And I am an absolute fanatic for the Bruce Timm created DC animated shows like Batman, Superman and the Justice League.
Looking at that makes me real frustrated thats what Mattel offered for 2008 and 2009. Hasbro's figs didn't even come close to that amount. I am giving the nod to DCUC right now because it looks like they actually care about collectors as a legit target market. If Hasbro didn't half step the first year with thier products retailers would still want to take Marvel Legends in. But anyway, DCUC is the better line.

i dont wanna sway the whole topic, but the FFF serie soculd have had HEAPS of beter characters, i mean 5 diffrent hulks... madman would ahve been awsome, but he would never have been a BAF,
Yeah I was thinking for the Foom wave they could have done King Hulk, Red Hulk with a McGuinness Green Hulk Variant, Valkyrie instead of She Hulk, A Hulk Buster Mech general Ross instead of Samson, A Bibeast or Madman instead of an End Hulk, A reissue of the Hulk Classics Absorbing Man instead of the new one, Wendigo, and maybe a modern WWH Hulkbuster Iron Man instead of Son of Hulk. I think there would have been alot less peg warmers if they put these out instead of some of the other figs in the Foom wave. Also the Red Hulk wave should have been the Thanos wave instead ;)

well since since we got the Rulk then it doesn't really matter anymore.
but I don't think Mad Man had any chance of winning over Red Hulk. he was in only two or three storylines while the Rulk has gotten his own series.
Yeah but without Mad Man Loeb wouldn't have had a format to create the Red Hulk series. After reading Countdown to the Madman I now view Red Hulk as the second Mad Man. It seems Loeb has followed Peter David's old story line to make a new one. But I really like the Madman he's seems like a pretty cool character.

I was wondering from a Hulk fan perspective would one perfer a Mad Man figure or a Red Hulk figure if they got to choose which figure got issued last year. I think Rulk was done because a lot of hype was put on him because he was promoted real well after the Summer cross over World War Hulk. Though Rulk is an awesome fig how many of us would have wanted a Mad Man more? I wouldn't have minded a Mad Man in the Foom wave to replace the End Hulk who was very undersized compared to how he looked in the comics. A General Ross in a HulkBuster Mech would have been cool too, that has nothing to do with this topic but I figured I'd throw it out there, lol.

I'm really hoping we get the Wrecking Crew. Seperated in two packs or in an enitre box set. This was rumored for next year. But who is to say?

This isn't Legends but that Hulk Classics Absorbing Man.

I found tarantula today ! he is to short for my taste !
here some comparation pics !
I'm glad I didn't pick up that Tarantula Friday but I did get that Mcfarlane Spidey, it is the best Spidey hands down. No sign of Juggernaut or Venom yet though.

The one in the middle the fearsome foes Rhino is the best Rhino by far. It has superior articulation, it is in proper scale and the sculpt is absolutely awesome and it stays pretty close to the classic Rhino look.

Well I am a Hulk fan and I wouldn't want a General Ross or Betty figure. I would rather get Zaax or a modern Hulkbuster Iron man. There are so many other Spider-Man figs that could be done like Hammer Head or even Tombstone. I don't know just my perferance.

Good to know so next week will actually be something I can look forward to in ML.

People have always loved Gambit for no apparent reason. It's really just how it's always been. Thats why he goes for so much on ebay/
