  2. So far for waves 1 thru 3 the figures for perhaps the only time that i can ever remember started turning up on shelves around the dates that hasbro said they would. The only thing that gets me is no wave 4 protos, moc ups, or hong kong dumpster finds have turned up yet. I'm hopeing we start to see this in the coming week or so. I guess we won't be getting the full 36 or 38 or whatever the exact number of figures hasbro said we would get this year out of this line. Looks as thow from info we got late last year wave 5 was what was cut and would have had puma. Thank fully wave 1 and 2 arwe clearing up, Some of wave 2 sold very well, and the majority of wave 3 seems to last but a few days around here. I'm hopeing good sales on SMC or SMT or whatever we call it now will help keep the regular legends line alive.
  3. IMO the best route is to try to copy DC's forumla. They have a 3.75 and 6 inch line going side by side. Care to guess which is selling better? They also need to get a good dozen somewhat generic molds that cen be tooled to no end and start reuseing them. WWE and DC have proven that u can reuse molds up the ass and make some of the most successfull and sought after lines. Now granted DC has an entire universe to do and marvels taken care of a good portion of theirs, I still think Marvel can survive on a fan requested charcters, New or retooled rereleases (I don't think anyones apposed to another deadpool in any form, exe) and New versions of all the standard people we already have six dozen of. It's the simpelest formula to follow and I'm hopeing once the 3.75 line flounders into the abyss we get full attension to the 6 inch line again. I'm sure were still gonna get 2 packs and a random exclusive repaint/kit bash wave or 2 next year.
  4. They were still at Wal-Mart on M59 and adams in auburn hills as of last night. Thats were I got mine so their in out territory.
  5. If anyones wondering/cares their are indeed 2 variants of venom. One is packaged with the arms out and has a dark blue tint (as noted back at comic-con) and has the white patches on his hands. The other wariant has the arms down to his side and has a purple tint and no white squares on his hands. I wasn't sure if the blue/purple was just different spray levels during production or something but i've now scene at least 2 other sets of pics that are both noticeably different. So those are the 2 variants. The case i saw had both.
  6. The only thing I can think is that if u look at all the other slide presentations hasbro did for the other major lines, They all had a 2009 preview. Granted theirs A FEW things that might OVERLAP into next year, They did not have a section of the presentation that specifically said NEW FOR 2009 or something to that exent for the 6 in line the way they did for other lines. Compound that with the fact we got an indirect answer if the line was ending with more #$@# about "Distribution problems". I'm sure alot of us know what an indirect answer like that is the beginning of. Next time it'll be "Still hammering out distribution, But we have alot of big things PLANNED". Next time we ask we get "A New shipping schedule is being developed". Next time you get no answer of any type. 6 months later we ask one more time and are finally told (only AFTER whatever ever line that took it's place has taken off as a success) "The 6 inch line was canceled some time ago due to distribution problems that could not be worked out with retailers". I've scene it happen dozens of time with dozens of line. Will we still get the annual summer 6 inch line? Probably. And exclusive line or repaints once a year or so? More than likely. Spider-Man classics repaints up the ass? I would think so. But I really don't think were getting any more standard "Marvel Legends" waves. We just saw half a years worth of 3.75 figures. Thats WAY THE #$## more figures then i've ever scene in any "sub-line" of a franchise. The 3.75 by numbers alone are the NEW main line. It's almost as many as Star Wars puts out. And marvel's basic line dosent get half the space star wars does. Theirs simply no logic in thinking theirs going to be a steady 6 inch line taking up just as much space if not more due to card size next to it. Basicly what i'm getting at is that IF ML stays around it's nolonger the MAIN line. And i really don't see it becoming the sub line. I don't want it to end either but that IS whats happening. As for weather or not collectors will be willing to start a new collection because of scale? Just go ask wrestling collectors and jakks pacific. They changed molds/scale to some extenet 5 times durring the corse of their line. Each time sales went up untill they became the #2 line for several years in a row.
  7. I agree with u whole heartedly. I'll stick with it till it's over and I'm excited for the new line as well. as far asa scale sentinel? Just throw ur TB one next to some Star Wars & Joes. So a few Build a guys will still be scale-ish.
  8. As much as I love my TB juggernaut, I've still wanted a ....i guess "slimmer" more classic looking one. This works. I'll pick up both versions. How many times did he and SM have any interaction? Closest thing I remember is him and venom going at it.
  9. The rest of the foom wave i need, forge & elektra 2-packs, Target & wal-mart waves, SMC ScorpoVenom, Carnage & "McFarlane" Spider-Man. As for wishful thinking mabey we are still getting the 36 or was it 38 SMC figures in 2008. I think that was the specific number they gave. So i'de guess we'll still be getting a wave or two later in the year. I believe we still may or may not have a puma & tarantula coming like they said? Mabey that spot and chameleon we got protos of a few years back when TB lost it?
  10. My guess is we'll end up either just getting a punisher in whatever random line their doing or we'll get a punisher vs jigsaw movie edition pack. Mabey as an exclusive or something.
  11. The thing that gets me is that whatever we do see won't be on shelf for like a year and a half. Either way i'll be happy with new product. I am a little concerned about hasbro's answer to weather or not the 6 in line was done. It was a very simply and short answer. The same question has been asked in regards to other lines in the past, and hasbro 9 times outta 10 goes into great detail with much emphasis on how and why the line is not ending and how they have bright plans and are very excited about the future. Their answer in regards to 6 inch ML line makes me think it's not the FULL answer. No it's not ending. But it will only continue in movie based waves? In 2 theme waves a year? in a yearly exclusive wave? Granted all those things combined WOULD more or less give us the past year. Any whom I know we here it every few months "Ohh my god it's over". Thus however is the first time I'm starting to think the STANDARD Serialized series is done.
  12. My friend and I found gray hulk & absorbing man a couple days ago at 2 diff wal-marts. Other than that? Nothing.
  13. McFarlane Venom AOA Cyclops AOA Apocalypse AOA Dark Beast Jim Lee Jean Grey X-Man
  14. I would take both. I hate the old toad and chameleoon is more or less the last (and yet somehow first) major spider-man villian yet to be made.
