  1. Snagged Cap, IronMan, and constrictor on my first round at TRU. Figured my wife wouldn't be so keen on me getting the whole set, but then I got home and she was cool with me getting one more. I grabbed Thor cuz I'm holding out for orange flames Ghost Rider. Klaw and Hope I'll get when they peg warm at Walmart. I have more than enough for now. Being greedy is not worth ticking off the mrs. I figure with Walmart clearancing Thor, Cap, and Ironman stuff out, they'll be filling that space with ML, MU, and Avengers stuff. May as well wait and save a few bucks.
  2. I have no problem with the DC or ML prices. I just don't like the 3 3/4" prices. Too much for the little buggers. Not knocking the line, I was about to leave it up to a coin toss whether I started with those, but the realization sank in. I'm not saving enough money to justify starting over again. If this is the end of the road so be it. I started about when Hasbro did, and worked my way back. Had Hasbro started in with these little guys I may have given it some more consideration. But if this is to be the end then so be it. Been an awesome hobby and had some fun collecting characters I never owned as a kid. Who knows, I may see them in stores and get curious. But as it stands, I collect Marvel Legends and the occasional DC Universe character (only wanna complete the League and the Legion as I remember them as a kid with Super Friends lol *crosses fingers for Build a Blip*)
  3. Well, that was the nail in the coffin. They're on something if they think I'm paying 7.99 for half the fig I'm used to lol. I was sitting on the fence about these little guys but no more. If 6" is out (which it looks like it may be seeing as they'd be stupid to continue with figures that are twice as tall for $2 more). So am I. And yes I know it's not technically half the figure I'm losing, but I could care. $6 a pop... would be stretching it. lol $7.99. DC will get my occasional $10.
  4. Of course... the day after I break down and buy the remaining few...stupid target
  5. And I've said it too. A day after two packs hit, they told me they were cancelled... it's not their fault. I think they're trained to say that if someone asks about availability. Rather than lie and disappoint someone they must think it's better to just lie and there still be a possibility of finding the product.
  6. Well...now I don't feel so dumb for paying as much as I did for Ares right leg...still though.... this doesn't look good... I atleast hope we see some of the new two packs...
  7. Another thing to note on Hasbro's end is that I once called them after the 2-packs hit (my cap was missing his interchangeable head) and they told me the line was discontinued (they also asked if I wanted to send my figures (yes they wanted Nick Fury too) in with no garuntees of a replacement or getting my figs back...****ers
  8. ehr...might pick it up...when it gets the first price drop...
  9. No McFarlane Spidey... it's as if Hasbro knows which figure I want from each series and doesn't stock it. The last one was Doc Samson, it took them like 2 extra weeks to stock it and by then I had tracked one down....grrrrrr....
  10. Gotta go with 1st... I'm biased since I have it lol.
  11. WHY?! WHY CAN'T I FIND A DOC SAMSON?! THE ONE FIGURE I WANTED MOST! My Foom will be incomplete as long as I can't find him. On a side note I went to my wal-mart today, and they had NO Marvel Legend Pegs out...I'm kinda worried...
  12. So, here's what it basically came down to. They did call me back. They did admit that the product did have swappable heads. They made me this offer. I can send the product in free of charge and if they have a replacement they will send the replacement back. If they do not, I get the luxury of hasbrotoystore.com coupons... in other words if they have the product I should have gotten in stock, I get all the pieces that I should have gotten in the first place. If they do not they will not send my product back... I offered to send in the UPC as proof of my purchase, but they said that it had to be the product. TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE!!!! TERRIBLE!!!!!
  13. No better yet, I called back, said that I was missing the head from the Cap/Fury pack then when they told me that there was no head for that pack I said I was missing the one from the Ronin Elecktra pack. They then said there was no swappable head from that one, and I said "Ha, I trick you!" *in Fez voice*. Then explained that it did come with one and that their system is messed up and that I wanted to talk to a manager. They then said they'd forward an e-mail to "product managment" and get back to me. I've never had a problem with Hasbro Customer service before this.
  14. Ok, here's the story. I go into my local Walmart last week and find the two packs being stocked so I pick up Cap/Nick And Ronin/Elecktra. I get home open them to find that Cap is missing the interchangable head. I figure "Oh well, I can contact Hasbro to replace this part obviously missing from packaging." So about ten minutes ago I call them. First they tell me that there is no exchangable part, then they tell me that the item has been discontinued since May. "Discontinued since May?! They just got shelved and a lot of people don't even have them" the man on the phone replies "Yeah, it's a limited release." So there you have it folks. Legends fans are getting the shaft. This is rediculous. Discontinued in May pretty much means one shipment only and ever. WTF are they thinking?
  15. You are sure they said early next year, right? Not what the placards say(Sept '08). I'm really hoping they don't flood the market...
  16. I'm really torn right now. I like the idea of the new line, but I don't want to reinvest in characters I already have. I'm afraid I may have to sit this one out. I've been collecting for a while and got started on legends back when Toybiz was losing the license. Since then I've spent oodles to catch up to and now I can't think of characters I want that are already out. The last year was...er...well it could have been better but wasn't horrible in my opinion. Now that Hasbro wants to bum-rush my wallet in a last ditch effort to milk the legends fans I'm becoming a bit disenfranchised with the whole thing. I am going to finish Foom...that's all I care about right now.
  17. So, the McFarlane Spidey is still coming out... I was bit worried when there were no promo pics last week. But is it still part of wave 3... I can't read the card too well. It either says Nov or Now...
  18. It all says Sept '08. Then again the Hulk Figs were misprinted at NYCC... Here's hoping since I want it all. *greedy maniacal laugh*
  19. There has to be a mistake though...the Ares Series says Sept '08 as their release date...that really can't be... that's on top of Target series, on top of Hulk, on top of Spider-man, and Ironman. It's too much... I really want these figs but sheesh. I kind of feel like Hasbro is attempting to bum rush my wallet all at once :( This may be the first time I say delay something.
